A lot of single women are not having casual sex. But as for the ones that are, what's wrong with it? Are you just expressing resentment and jealousy? Because that makes sense, I wouldn't judge that. But life is more peaceful without that anger in my opinion. I mean you pretty much said men wish they could have more casual sex, and if they could they would. Well, maybe put yourself in women's shoes, would you have casual sex? If yes, then why do you hate them for choosing the same thing you would…

How do you know each individual man needs more willpower than his female partner? So you're saying the more willpower it takes the less the betrayal matters. Well with the willpower argument we could say that a low libido husband's cheating would be "worse" than if his high libido wife cheats, yeah? Because it takes him more willpower to go through with the act. But what does worse mean? Both men and women are devastated when their spouse cheats on them. Could we also say that a lazy person shou…

Well, we are actually dealing with the former. But even so it doesn't subtract from my attraction and desire for him. He said one of the things he loves about me is how I accept him completely even when we know we gotta change something for a health reason. His personality is always my favorite, because it's /him/ no matter how the outside ages. And there's so much more, the way he looks at me, the way he smells, how our physical touch feels, how safe and secure he makes me, that I don't know if…

I'm the type of girl that once I love you I wind up loving all of you regardless of whatever I initially came in preferring.

If these things trigger you to leave your spouse you probably don't love them. Maybe the relationship was already bad before it happened. It's sad when trust is broken like this. This is why I don't let resentment build up between either of us. Either we work it out now or we walk instead of stringing each other along.

No, I wouldn't call that evil. Just more trash on the internet. Women trying to grow their egos by telling each other that they're the prize, not men. Degenerate advice like most viewpoints using birds and monkeys as 'evidence' for human behavior. Any dating advice that tries to sell you ego or dehumanize the opposite gender is a sham.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/21 06:43 AM

I did, I don't see what's evil about it.

Pretty much the way my bf is, simple guy that has his hobbies and loves his family, friendly but not very extroverted, knowledgeable, silly, thoughtful, and seems like he'd be a great dad one day. Physically? I don't have any special requirements, but I'm not all that attracted to skinny dudes, just a normal face, at least a 5/10 by everyone else's standards.

I'm just saying as a woman I don't see a handsome charming womanizer as better than a handsome charming one-woman dude.

I think healing sometimes starts out with anger, strict boundaries, high expectations, detachment and vigilance.

What we're really talking about is what is best for women. Being attractive vs being secure. Depending on men vs depending on yourself. What is really best for women? How about an insecure woman dating vs a secure woman dating? Women don't have much trouble finding partners at any age, they just get better quality partners later.

I'd like to completely agree but I've seen examples on Reddit where guys will say they feel it's not fair their gf won't do anal with him because she did it with her ex even though she hates it. I'm sure there's ways women are irrational and insensitive as well. A girl generally chooses a bad guy when her self esteem isn't high, because she doesn't think she deserves better. There are other reasons too. Sometimes she doesn't know he's bad. How can you really know until you're a year into the rel…

Some will say this is a bad thing because what they really want is relationships and all they get are fuck boys. I’m sorry but if that’s the case then you’re shooting for guys out of your league because there are plenty of men who wouldn’t mind being in a relationship. I get what you mean, that they're going after the wrong kind of guy, but I wouldn't call them out of her league. So, what, is a guy that gets a lot of sex better than a guy who doesn't? That's subjective. In my opinion, that kind …

A woman that wants children in her 20s and doesn't have them yet isn't superior to the woman in her 30s who wants them too but hasn't had them yet. The wisdom and career advancement is what makes women more happy in their later years. Young women are more insecure and figuring out what types of men to avoid. It's probably a good thing they're not having kids that early.

they rant “How unfair she gets to be mistreated by other guys” It's almost like they don't care about the woman, they're just jealous of the guy that gets to abuse her. It's scary. Someone replied: you are practically calling for us to treat ADULT WOMEN like some toddler Not hurting someone is not the same thing as treating them like children. All you gotta do is respect their boundaries. If they say something hurts, stop thinking it means they like it. We don't actually like mind games. We are …

I totally get that. I've only seen that said in response to extremist men though. I think I responded to a post someone made tossing around the idea of government mandated girlfriends. I wouldn't say that in a cruel way. But in general, no one's entitled to anything and if this statement hurts your feelings it's not meant to. It's meant to mentally strengthen you. I tell myself that all the time, and I'm female. It's not to be mean to myself, it's to move past whatever I'm feeling whiny about. I…

I'm attracted to average or normal, so height matters, but so does everything. I could describe ideals but experience has shown me that what I'm happy with can be quite unexpected, even if it isn't average, even if it's strange. I've seen attractive men with dwarfism for example. However I don't make decisions on who I want to LTR or have sex with (these two are mutually exclusive to me) based off of appearance alone. Guy has to be attractive and a good person. I've only had one relationship wit…

I feel this too. I love the concept of working to become an independent woman and being able to provide finances in the relationship as well. I think it's great for both people. The woman feels she's providing worth, and won't let herself be a doormat. And the man isn't building up resentment over the dynamics, he feels secure as well because of both streams of income. My man is human too, he wants to feel cared for like I do. And I appreciate him when he helps out with domestic duties.

This is absolutely true for me. I'm sincere with my compliments though. Sometimes I'll just feel a sense of love and appreciation and it'll come out because I figure why not, it feels good for both of us. I know how much work and thought goes into women's appearance. I know women feel that their appearance is their worth, but when I compliment another woman's appearance I'm not trying to reinforce that belief. I just want her to have a baseline confidence in herself, because I know how low we of…

I think everyone's goal should be to secure a life and resources that won't fall apart one day. Makes sense. You figure out what you're willing to risk. If you don't want financial risk you don't have to get married. If you don't want childcare risk you don't have to have children. IMO, a good long term relationship that fills a decade of my life with goals, laughs, affection, and teamwork is fulfilling even if it ends up in tears and what seems like waste in the end. It wasn't waste, look at al…

I'm shy so it's hard to meet new people or relax around people. I'm a faithful and kindhearted girl, but I don't put myself out there. But I'm also picky. Most of the guys I've met have seemed immature, or they've been players, or we're not on the same page. If I know it isn't suitable or sustainable I don't pursue it at all. I'm lucky that my first date with a man resulted in a LTR I'm still in comfortably. We hit it off immediately when we realized the same things bother us and the same things…

Hmmm sometimes I worry about the same thing with my boyfriend. Not so much because I don't trust him. I know his intentions are good and he loves me. But I imagine one day he's going to run into a beautiful woman with a beautiful personality, and maybe financial success to boot. and then everything we built together will be forgotten about. People make mistakes right? hormones and attraction, and rare opportunity. I wouldn't blame him. I'd blame human nature. And maybe this woman is better for h…

Oof. Well I'm glad it's just a fantasy. I mean, when you take away the woman's right to her body/life you're pretty much not viewing her as human anymore. I would never think that way about men. I really can't empathize with it. So the guy that responded as if it's fair because women do the same thing, I'm really baffled. I hope to god I don't ever run into these men.

Ahh. It's weird, we're not magical. But maybe it's similar to how women want validation too. For me, when I know I'm sexually attractive, it makes me feel secure because if I'm satisfying my partner he won't look elsewhere. But your view seems to focus on the past, not the future. Or do you worry about the future? Like "if she did it before she might do it again"?

Oh okay. I've never experienced that, as a female. But I'm trying to put myself in your shoes, and it sounds like her willingness to have sex with someone represents his worth. Is that accurate?

That's a huge relief. Sometimes I don't know if this place harbours most men's thoughts or if I'm seeing a minority.

Your body though? This is dark stuff. I'm not undermining women's entitlement, and I don't support that either.

I'm curious about the deeper feelings you have associated with the other men having sex with woman easier. What does that feel like? I want to understand you. It sounds similar to applying for jobs, some people don't even have to submit a resume or application, it's just offered to them. Does it feel like that to you, where it's just unfair? Does it reflect badly on the woman like her value system is messed up? Or insecurity? Like she didn't really want you as much as the other guy and it hurts?

What should we do about men not getting sex? Men are entitled to sex? Huh... I get that it's painful to be rejected, but it does strike me as a little scary that some men think they should have access to my most private parts, just for their own satisfaction...

Oh yeah, that happens. People can be lazy and entitled. It's just the unfortunate way it is sometimes. It seems like a risk you aren't willing to take anymore and that's a totally respectable decision. It is hard finding somebody who is willing to put that effort in consistently. You see it in dependent relationships, where the dependent can't take care of their own needs, and that can slowly wear away at the one providing. And I don't mean that offensively, I know we all go through hard times. …

Oh interesting take. I was thinking being on the receiving end of love is something you can perceive. Like you say, love is kind of like wanting to give, so if partner A gives to partner B, there's kind of a communication of love. I wouldn't really conflate receiving with loving either. Just, feeling loved. Kind of like the spirit of Christmas in kids movies, where they try to teach children that the point is to give not to receive. The value is in both partners giving selflessly in increments, …

Ah, what you say about people needing something provided to them first, makes total sense, and it also seems a bit unwholesome right? It's not romantic at all, it's transactional. But I've been doing a lot of reflecting and I feel like that's inevitable, because we date people we're attracted to, and we feel loved when we're provided for... And we want to feel appreciated too when we do things for our partners. I mean the gist of being a parent is selflessness and genuine care, and we get some s…

I see where you're coming from, and at the same time I'm thinking selfishness isn't always bad, it's kind of natural right? Giving and receiving, having those expectations of reciprocation, gaining something from a relationship - I don't see what is bad about that, as long as it's not taken to extremes/genuinely not caring for the other person. That's kind of what I think is great about relationships, that you're both adding to each other's lives without sacrificing your own values (I want to be…

This sub has made me appreciate what I have. I've managed to avoid the issues shared here and I have a good relationship with a good partner. It's eye opening learning about the pressures men face, and it makes me want to treat my partner better and contribute more and not get worked up over small things.

You should take into account that women already in relationships or looking (with realistic expectations) can feel a sense of insecurity about beauty standards too. I already disagree with the narrative that there aren't normal women wanting to be in relationships with normal men. People want good for themselves, but "good" sometimes means a 30k a year job and treats her well. Sometimes a man like that still yearns for above average women. I'm not saying it's anybody's fault on a micro level. I'…

I wouldn't aggressively question the person but I wouldn't be offended if they did ask me those example questions, I'd answer them honestly. It wouldn't make me think of them in a negative light if they're healing from past trauma, or something such as amount of past partners or desire to build a family are meaningful to them. It's only an issue if they can't believe me.
