-2	Well put. So he wasn't supporting his child, married or not? I can remember my mother telling me about one of her cousins who was married to a guy in the service and he refused to set up an allotment to send her money and she didn't have anything to support her kids. She was living with an aunt and they didn't have much and she used to walk up and down the country roads and pick poke salad (it has to be young to be edible) to have something to feed her kids.
