Yeah motivation is a modern idea. Take it off the table. All it does is introduce another condition that has to be fulfilled before you do what you should be doing. Fuck that shit. "Enjoy the journey" "do what you love" "chase your passion" it's all shit. There are 2 stages ; decide where you want to be, then do what it takes to get there. If motivation is out of the picture then it's a lot simpler. Don't expect to be smiling and laughing while you do the work. Just do the work.
