Confusion is your body's/ brain's way of warning you. That's your sign to leave and get out before things get more serious.

Talked to my therapist about this general lack of communication I've seen with some men I'm dating and we both agreed that it takes 2 seconds to send a text and these men have no excuse. Absolutely none. EDIT: I like the advice from Why Men Love Bitches of matching the man's energy. That's what I've been doing until they cross a personal boundary or show a red flag then I block and delete.

In the process of multidating and only one guy texted me happy valentine's day. All the others didn't even bother texting me. Side note: so done with women telling other women that we should text first and initiate. And a man needs to know we're interested. Spending time and energy on men is enough to let the know of our interest. This whole modern feminism thing is such BS.

"I haven't found a man worthy of my time, attention, or respect." "I'm out of most men's league." "I'm successful, beautiful, and intelligent. Find me a man who's all 3 and knows how to treat a woman right? It's like looking for a unicorn."

As a Desi Muslim myself, I have thoughts. Oh man. Misogyny is embedded into these men's minds regardless of how much they try to deny it. One guy I dated who was Pakistani Muslim and practicing (prayed 5x a day, no alcohol, fasts, etc) told me I didn't dress modestly enough and showed too much skin. He reached out and covered my cleavage with his hand and said I needed to cover this up. Now this was back in my 🤡 days, so I started covering up for him. Meanwhile, this same religious guy got so ph…

Haha this is solid advice. I'm a huge parks and rec fan and this is something Ron Swanson does. You saying this reminded me of that!

I'm rereading this book right now. I don't have a definitive answer to your question. The best plausible explanation I can come up with is avoiding anything sexual within the first couple of months until commitment has been established. A man is going to to want to hookup with you, and he will do anything to convince you to do that. Don't fall for his lies. Be very firm about this boundary! That indicates to him you're looking for a relationship without saying it outright. If he doesn't want a s…

I used to be one of these women minus the sex. I'd do everything physical except for sex because I was saving myself. I only speak for myself when I say this, it was the validation and attention that made me do that stuff. I lacked confidence in myself and my feminine energy and so I sought that validation from men who could care less about me. When I actually did have sex with that cop ex, it was so painful for me and he never once cared about my pleasure and this was in a relationship. I highl…

I love her answer! She's such a beautiful and successful woman. It's so unfortunate that that's the only thing people care about or ask her.

Oh yes I'd love this. Matchmakers in our community are for the most part LVW who lie about various things about both the man and woman. I've avoided them like the plague. They wouldn't be okay with a strong, opinionated woman like me.

I agree with you 100%. Arranged marriages are horrible and toxic. As a Pakistani American, I've seen so often women being reduced to their physical appearance and domestic capabilities rather than their intelligence/personality, career, and other successes. I've seen some amazing and successful women settle for men who are not educated and physically unattractive compared to them out of fear of being a spinster. My parents themselves have had an unhappy arranged marriage. As a child and even adu…

My guy friends and coworkers have told me an engagement ring should at minimum cost 3 months salary. Seems fair enough if the man is a HVM and high earner.

Mine: -same age as me -made half the money I make -balding -tried to control me in every which way (i.e. trying to make me dress more "modestly," changing my work schedule) -wanted me to move in with his parents after marriage -only earned a bachelor's degree in the amount of time it took me to earn a doctorate and complete post doctoral training Where he is now: married to a woman who looks just like me lol the irony. Hairline receded even more. Still trying to ruin any relationships I get into…

Men seem to want to be entitled to your time. I had a man call my phone at 11pm when I'm in bed to talk. I didn't answer. The next day I got a message telling me that being a rude fucking bitch won't help me find a man. Ok cool. If that means I don't end up with a man like him, then thank God.

Nurses, social workers, most women who work in a hospital. Most of these doctors got no attention from women when they were young so they take full advantage of the desperation of these women.

I second doctors. I work at a hospital and almost every single male doctor here has cheated on their wives, and the wives are fully aware of it, but let it slide or ignore it. I'd add cops to the list as well. They only see things as black and white, love to have control, and don't listen to anyone but themselves.

One of my exes was just like this. He fucked around all the time, partied, etc. When it came to becoming more serious about our relationship, he dipped as soon as possible because I wasn't religious enough for him. Bullet dodged.

As a Pakistani woman, I am disappointed by this, but also not surprised at all. This is so common in Pakistan. Victim blaming is rampant. Whenever I visit my family there, I am forced to dress conservatively and I am STILL hit on by men there who can't control their urges. There are so many stories of men treating women like trash in Pakistan. Hell even the Pakistani Prime Minister said women get raped because of the way they dress. Barbaric.

I'm proud of the journey I've been on these past few months. Therapy has been so helpful in me realizing my worth and standing up for myself. The LVM I was in a situationship with last year tried reaching out to me again last week. Block and delete and move the fuck on. Currently focusing on building my strength and endurance, leveling up in my career, and hopefully moving out of this house (which is my house that I bought). I'm celebrating the small wins in life. Only focusing on the positives.

When I was dating my ex, all of the women and men around me kept trying to push birth control onto me. Their reasoning: he's not going to want to wear a condom forever. I could care less. I refuse to experience those horrific side effects just so a man feels the experience is more pleasurable. EDIT: I will say that my ex, despite his shortcomings, fully respected my decision for him to wear a condom and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time.

I wish she could venmo request him the money. My ex had the wonderful idea of going to Miami together and then breaking up with me the morning after we get back. I venmo requested all of the expenses for the trip and he paid them. If a man if going to expect you to do these stupid things for them, then he should be prepared for the consequences.

Revisiting this comment a day later and let me tell you what a difference a day makes. This immature boy does not deserve a woman like me. Looking back he didn't add any extra value to my life. Nothing whatsoever. Fuck relationships. My culture and religion places such a huge importance on marriage. I could care less. I am content being by myself. I am a queen and I will remain a queen forever.

I'm not going to blame myself for this, no matter how much I want to. I don't. Started dating this guy back in March. I was hesitant to date him bc I knew it would be a risk in terms of family. My parents wouldn't approve of him since he was a cop and drank alcohol (we're Muslim). But still I dated him because I was a 26 going on 27 year old woman at that time who could make my own decisions. I don't know how, I don't know when, but somehow I started falling in love with him. After all, he did a…

Should a woman offer to pay on the second or third date? Or do we just let them pay? Still navigating this world of dating as a high value woman. Unfortunately, low value beliefs have been ingrained in the women around me.

Holy shit. 26 right now and currently going through my awakening. Can totally relate! I don't take shit from anyone anymore, not men, not friends, no one. Treat me with the respect I deserve or bye. I've spent way too much giving it my all in relationships with LVM and friendships with subpar friends.
