Plus deduct pay for room and board. And deduct pay for professional handyman repairs (contractors are expensive AF). And numerous other things.

This is a very good point. Children are crazy expensive when young, and get slightly cheaper to take care of as they get older.

My understanding is that many publications didn't include his hyperlinked sources or included charts and graphs from said sources, making it look less researched and more based on conjecture.

I spend less than $100 a week to feed 2 people (fiance and myself) and two cats. There's no reason to spend that much per child per week.

Said that there are 3 kids, but the math says 5 people... Whose the 5th?

There's always adoption. Now she can have a baby, and doesn't have to throw someone under the proverbial bus.

There was a time a few years back when I (a guy) had some pretty long hair. I'm talking down to my ass long. I would go to get it cut every year or so just to deal with split ends and the usual long hair stuff at one of the local salons that had different prices for men's and women's cuts. Always had to pay to women's cut price, since the cut was essentially a women's cut. Never felt anything wrong with paying more, since I was taking more of their time.

I believe the article said "...a 2-week-old infant died at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Hospital..."
