I'm friends (facebook friends, not in person) with some writers/ex writers for Vice, and they're just a bunch of young people trying to keep things relevant. The documentaries are cool, but their articles are shit and usually have no backing and are completely biased. It's bad journalism. I can speak from experience. My cousin works at Nike, and her boyfriend works at Adidas (ironic, right?). She gave us a tour once and about 80% of the designers there were women. I obviously can't make claims that any of the men were gay, but that doesn't matter really because it was still 80% women designing for one of the biggest- if not THE biggest- sports apparel companies. I'm old enough to marry but young enough to wait, and so far, most of the stories I've heard and things I've been through point me as far away from marriage as possible. As of 2011, about 40% of gamers are women. I think the problem is that most men don't just do regular gaming trash talk and actions to women, they go overboard on it. A lot of the younger guys make sexual comments, flirt, stuff like that. Girls get bonuses from other players, but they also have to put up with degradation. I remember playing some MMO like WoW years ago and making my character a female so that I would get more items from other players. The gender roles in videogames is frightening…
