And that is not what the downvote button is for. It's not a "dislike" button or even an "I disagree" button. It's to make sure that quality content that promotes discussion moves to the top of the page and comments like "THIS." and "LOLZ I NO RITE" are pushed down. Please review rediquette.

Hey Bud. I went through almost an identical incident a few years ago. Although I didn't get a lawyer and turned out okay, if I could do it all over again, I would get one. They will ask you questions that get you to say things you wouldn't even think are incriminating, but really they can twist anything you say to make it look how they want. I don't know. I've worked in a two pretty big chain restaurants, and we never did this. All of my friends who also serve say they've never seen spitting in food either. Sure, there were plenty of times that we wanted too, but only truly scumbag servers will actually spit in food.
