I haven't quite pinned it down as that before, but I love that assessment.

No doubt. See my user name. It applies in a multitude of ways. Kills inside, but no other way out.

I don't think entitled fits anywhere in this scenario. You can show gratitude, generosity, or charity up to whatever you see fit. If you suspect that he might not be comfortable getting money directly from you, mail him a money order or some such. Kindness and caring can be done without trying to balance out some imagined scales.

Counterpart is giving too much credit to the free press article, to be honest, as this is better reporting and research.

Certainly understandable...fingers crossed for you to never approach that level.

The destruction angle has gotten to me even more as I think how Detroit is, and has been, for quite a while. Unless you've been there repeatedly, it's hard to fathom exactly how much of a disaster it is.

Of course. I'd like to say I'm amazed at the hypocrisy but I'm past that stage. It makes me lament for the future, more than anything else, to see how they can't recognize it.

I did not ponder that notion, although I've posted references to it here: http://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/26whav/does_feminism_and_the_general_public_allow_for/chv7kh0 and www.reddit.com/r/SRSsucks/ will likely be receptive. www.reddit.com/r/TumblrInAction/ has quite a few discussions of feminism/activism going on now so that may another place to post. That much is surely true, and Detroit hasn't two nickels to rub together, but the hotel is responding to some threats and thus taking it seriously.

Perhaps it is on DoubleTree to pursue that angle at present, given that they seem to be the party targeted/threatened. Calls to the chain seem to be coming in with threats of violence to employees and property damage to the facility, from my reading of their letter.

I can certainly see an argument for the infamy being something that might motivate those wanting validation. Charles Manson was active nearly forty-five years ago and there is still a 'popularity' that exists relating to his evils.

Thanks for this excellent rebuttal, which should be used repeatedly in response to such blatant political point-scoring. "Either misogyny is everywhere and it doesn't lead to mass murder or it's isolated and this was an anomalous disturbed individual."
/r/MensRights27/05/14 10:08 PM

Where is the proof of his feelings or ideas being validated? Isn't that lack of validation the core of his misanthropy...that nobody else saw how great he was and he intended to show his power through violent retribution? His very plainly worded, final video indicates nobody could see how great he was and thus your claim that he had some group to belong to is utterly false.

Covers my opinion pretty well..."The deranged psycho in California can’t just be a deranged psycho in California. He has to be a point. An example. A case study. A platform. We can’t weep for the lost and grieve with their families — we have to argue about the War on Women, as if this lunatic somehow exemplifies and illustrates the universal misogynistic feelings of all men everywhere."

Do you truly believe that their physical appearance makes a big difference in how bystanders react? I think there would be even more laughter were the people heavier, older, less well-dressed and undesirable. Like the phenomenon of 'bum fights,' which was an internet sensation in the past. Add some girth to the woman and have the man be skinny...that would go viral or at least hit worldstarhiphop servers hard. Edit: found recent example of tables turning and the reaction changing http://www.worl…

The point is about those BPers coming here to give the one example to show nawalt, etc. TRP, as a strategy, needs to operate on an 'enough women are like that' basis. Strategy is not a detailed manual to succeed in every situation, it is a framework or a foundation of understanding from which to work. All the minutiae need not be brought up every single time. Like my professor claimed when stating that climate change prediction isn't like the notoriously unreliable daily weather prediction, 'you…

Been there, done that. Felt like a heel after being distant and finding out one boy's attempt at bonding was likely because he had never met his father, a guest at a state penitentiary.

Some one asks a question to blupillers and the answer would be: "men do/have it too" "well my experience is different" This...very much, this. It's as imminent as the sun rising in the east. Sidebar material should include an admonition to avoid this line of argument, as it clouds the attempts to find and discuss the patterns we see.

Here is a video that is making the rounds that does show, however anecdotally, that women are treated differently. This much I knew, but I am dismayed and even angered by the large number of people laughing as the man is attacked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3PgH86OyEM

I will do similar. Words have meaning and being courteous isn't the same as being deferential. Too many have been conditioned/choose to have a limited emotional range and vocabulary, even people I care about as much as my own mother.

I was in just such a club last night, with my friend hypothesizing/imagining that the rabble all live in an apartment complex named Rihanna Villa, or in my estimation, Rihanna Remedial Villa. I've not been against legalized abortion per se, but finding out the actual number of them that occur puts me off quite a bit. "A total of 784,507 abortions were reported to CDC for 2009...Although reporting to CDC is voluntary, most reporting areas do provide aggregate abortion numbers: during 2000–2009, a total of 45 reporting areas provided CDC a continuous annual record of abortion numbers,† and in 2009, CDC obtained aggregate abortion numbers from 48 reporting areas (excludes California, De…

You're free to be dismissive toward whatever you'd like but incentives matter and many "bitter whiners" have been agents for societal changes while their critics were ignoring or directing snark at them. If you believe the relations between the sexes are at their evolutionary peak, I will disagree and leave it that. Edited for formatting troubles. Apologies

The issues of divorce are not some bygone concern http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2014-04-16/can-limiting-divorce-make-marriage-stronger Additionally regarding 'no good women left,' I suspect the larger world of TRP writing and theory (inside and outside Reddit) is a burgeoning movement in response to modern incentives offered to men and women.

http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=228957 The money quote: "So what we have instead is a system where fully half or more of the people don't get to raise a family because after they have the kid(s) easy divorce means that one of them gets to make off with the kid(s) for the majority of the time and one also gets the majority of the bill -- and often those are different people. That, people wish to argue, is a superior outcome? I argue it is not."

So you don't believe that , high rates of divorce, the MGTOW phenomenon and the all-too-frequent lament of ' Where have all the good man gone?' are real or even potential problems confronting Western societies?

From the author of the piece, regarding the state of affairs between men and women..."These two comments pretty much sum up the problems, don’t they? I suppose the real question is where do we go from here? On that subject, I really have no answers. MGTOW seems to say: total rejection, while traditionalists say: back to a past of male control that never really was in the first place. Neither of those approaches are fully satisfactory, but I’m not sure what the plausible alternatives are."
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/14 09:18 PM

It appears by his comment that he is MGTOW so he has simply removed himself from the 'system.' That is his response and surely his right. The question of the article, and the one I'd like debated, is where do WE go from here, not him specifically.

What you say is almost verbatim from an article making waves yesterday... Women who are post-wall usually frame it something to the tune of: "Ugh, I was so immature in college always falling for jerks and assholes who just wanted sex. I'm so much more sophisticated and refined now and I'm totally ready for a good honest dependable man in my life." http://judgybitch.com/2014/04/22/okay-mgotw-i-get-it-now-if-this-is-the-option-id-pass-too/ Edited for errors in my first attempt at using formatting

It can be argued that the "pump and dump" is simply a response to changes in the culture at large and the cognitive dissonance that has occurred in reaction to those relatively recent changes. http://judgybitch.com/2014/03/12/pay-attention-young-ladies-your-older-sisters-have-a-plan-and-it-involves-you-crushed-under-a-bus/

One can't forget declines in fertility and increased risk for resultant children around 30 as well. Rational men ought to include this in the calculation of womanly influence.

I've not done so publicly, but I would not be one to recommend daycare as anything close to ideal. I've done the job before and the level of care is nothing close to what a dedicated and involved parent/family can provide.
