Dating during divorce?I feel you my man!!!! My opinion, wait till the paper work is signed sealed and delivered, then do whatever the fuck you want. I say this cuz if you do something to irritate/piss your stbx off before the papers are completed, then she can still make ur life miserable. You’ve waited this long. You can wait just a bit longer until ur outta the tunnel. Just have patience until it’s officially over. Then ur free to do whatever you want to. Good luck my dude. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/24 10:59 PM

She discarded me and dumped me like absolute trash. My ex did this to me. While she was cheating on me she constantly accused me of cheating on her. She would check my phone and make wild accusations. It wasn’t until after all was said and done, and I knew the truth that I figured out what had really happened. He accusations and suspicion were because of what she was doing. Once you learn to identify the indicators it’s quite simple really. However your usually well beyond that stage before it becomes clear. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/11/22 04:48 AM
What are some not so obvious red flags us younger men should look out for?Hey sorry been awhile since I signed in. For me it was the late nights, the “new” friends, the after work party’s, the coming home at 4 am. It turned out cocaine use was extreme, and her new friends happened to be strange men. Now that’s not to say it all women are like that. But the job provides ample oppurtunities for shady situations to arise. It’s also extremely difficult to leave the money and get a 9-5 office job. Just my 2 cents | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/05/22 10:24 PM
What are some not so obvious red flags us younger men should look out for?Oooooo I agree w this one as well. My ex couldn’t keep any female friends for long if at all. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/04/22 01:07 PM
What are some not so obvious red flags us younger men should look out for?For me, my ex was always concerned about what other people “thought of her” She always had to keep up appearances and was always brooding about what people could be thinking of her and us. Also the relationship with her parents was Rocky, so yea watch for a healthy parental relationship and how they interact as a family. Don’t date waitresses either. Huge no no. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/04/22 01:06 PM

My own worst enemyI agree with the secret recordings. Get online and buy a Sony recorder. Keep it secret and at hand in a pocket during any conversations. Something recorded may save you some serious aggravation in the future. Stay strong King, I know the feeling your going through. Lived it myself. Take the high road, be a good dad, keep ur moral compass pointing north and when it’s all said and done you will know u were the best man you can be. Also if it’s available counselling. A good counsellor will and can … | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/04/22 01:00 PM
Is there really a 50% chance of this happening?Your 22 my friend. Let her go and live a little, there’s absolutely no rush to be getting married at that age believe me. Your gut is screaming at you already. If there’s anything I’ve learned after 37 years on this earth is to trust my gut. Sometimes that’s extremely hard to do, but it’s served me well so far. Your 22 and have life by the balls, travel, date, dance, screw, find solitude in peace and quiet, learn about Yourself, learn about others, sports, outdoors, concerts, work, friendships. … | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/04/22 08:29 AM
Need some advice from some wise menDude, law enforcement here myself and what you described, I lived through and married. It wouldn’t have gotten any better, believe me. Everything you just said gives me PTSD. Let me say, your only 30, life gets a way more fun for you in the future. Especially since u just shed 24 years of dead weight. Chin up buddy, things are gunna get better and ur gunna look back on this and laugh about it. Give yourself time to become comfortable being alone doing what you want to do, when ur good and comfor… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/03/22 08:10 PM
Any tricks to stop getting emotional when telling people about this?People care, they will ask, and when they ask tell em how your feeling. I went to counselling about 8-10 times. That really helped me, it kind of taught me how to talk to someone without bursting out into tears every time. I would highly recommend trying it, even if you think your a manly man. Just go and see what happens, they will teach you about yourself and really walk you through the grieving process. Also, stay friggen busy, walk bike canoe play sports meet up with friends for dinner, play… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/19 12:51 PM
Any tricks to stop getting emotional when telling people about this?Don't fight it bud, it's part of the healing process. I went through the exact same stuff. Just let it happen and people will completely understand. They know your hurting, thats why they are asking. Just let it take it's course. Before you know it the tears will dry up, the emotions will slowly fade and the hurt won't hurt anymore. Time heals everything. YOU GOT THIS!!!!!! | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/19 12:24 PM
Do you get your Ex a Christmas gift?1.5 years ago. Same exact situation, she was seeing someone else. So just take it from me, time heals and you start to forget. You only get to live this life once so take care of yourself and ur kids and everything will be A ok!!! | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/12/18 11:07 PM
Do you get your Ex a Christmas gift?Id rather jump off a bridge w cement shoes rather then buy my ex a present. However, seeing as you have children (I do not) I guess my suggestion would be to be the best dad you can possibly be and teach the munchkins about getting Mom something for Christmas. As hard as it will be for you, be a great dad and let them buy mom something, it means you have to take the high road and that will totally suck. But down the road you will look back and know you did the right thing for the kids. Good luck… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/12/18 07:45 PM
Update and ReliefGood on ya man. One foot in front of the other and before you know it all this will be behind you. I to have gone through exactly what you have, and it straight up sucks. Theres no denying that what you are going through is probably one of the toughest things you will ever face. That being said, whenever someone asks you in the future and they will "how are you doing?" you can say "well i aint' dead" I used to say this all the time, because whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. I a… | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/11/18 06:15 AM
