I've often debated just going back to working for a good company and avoiding the headache of book keeping and taxes. There is a pretty big shadow industry of people who don't claim or underclaim while self employed in the USA. (Meetings, Prep, Shooting, Editing, servicing) It is mostly a word of mouth type of industry and I don't advertise outside of a webpage & social media. The other photo contract work I do makes up another half of my income.
