Everyone seems stressed out all the time. I feel like I get judged for being happy in public.

I have the same problem, man. I'm still new and have noticed that if I just keep trying it seems to get easier. I can't tell you how many prime opportunities I've missed because I psyched myself out. An older female acquaintance recently told me that I'm the kind of guy who hides out on the sidelines, waiting for a girl to notice and approach, the quiet mysterious dude. It's funny because I've been told I come off as totally relaxed and not giving a fuck but inside my head I'm freaking out. Forc…

I too am confused.. approach from front, but then grind? don't guys do that from behind? or do I just go to the wrong clubs. I also never know how to handle escalating while dancing. A couple nights a go a chick literally hit my hand with hers and I didn't respond, seconds later I was like SHIT I SHOULD HAVE GRABBED HER HAND!

When I talk to my friends often times I have to slow down, not think about what I am saying more, but literally speak slowly. Friends don't get bored in a conversation so don't worry so much about proper talking/listening etiquette. I slow down, build up a thought for them and then listen intently to his reply, not because I know I should, but because I want to, naturally, he's my friend.

I think my opener was, "Are you in school?" so definitely not a direct approach. That's a good point about opening direct and then just going where ever from there, I had not considered that before. Nothing happened but I remain optimistic about seeing her in the same group of people again (long game, not oneitis I swear).

I'm still a novice and, after reading this, realize I have only ever done indirect approaches. Recently I talked to a girl at a party about work for maybe ten minutes and then, hours later, found out from her friend that she digs me (side note: I didn't ask for this information, it was surprising and reminded me of middle school). I think sometimes women appreciate neutral conversation more. Sure she's attractive but maybe she just got a promotion and would be more excited to talk about that ins…

One question, how do you talk to someone at a concert? I always end up screaming WHAT?!?! directly into her ear. Also, I like the role reversal tip. A buddy of mine used to arch his back and rub his ass all over girls and they love him.

Dude thank you for posting, while I was reading it I felt like you were describing me too! I was also overweight, got in shape, and stayed awkward despite tons of praise but no real action. Since finding this subreddit a couple weeks ago and going to a few concerts and bars by myself I've made huge progress (for me), still just baby steps and mostly talking to dudes. For inner game, the best feeling is when I "forget" who I am. I lose track of everything about myself that makes me scared, and ev…

Thanks for the reply. Too much alcohol just makes me sleepy and clumsy.

I would hold off on the text. You go to the same school and will probably see her again real soon. My favorite part about being in college was meeting up with people without having to call or text.

Technical questions, were you drunk? Did you always have a drink in your hand?

Don't say hi, give her a cold stare and start skipping.
