I know what you're saying. I'm right at that stage where if I grow it out, it's just way too thin on top.. It will look bad. My hair is very dark, so the shine on the top of my head is super obvious. I'm not completely bald yet, but I shave my head. It has definitely impacted my life in a negative way. I'm much less confident and outgoing now. I just don't like the the way I look.. But other people do tell me that it's not a bad look for me, at least.

I have looked into all sorts of treatments. Talked to my dermatologist. He told me the best option would be a hair transplant around the temples, and then I would use Rogaine and Finasteride for life in order to thicken the crown and keep what I have left. Financially, that isn't an option. He also told me that cases you see where guys are getting full or near full coverage back using those meds only are either extreme edge cases or fake.. I can grow a decent beard, although I don't like longer beards all that much.. I've never been a fan of facial hair, but I wouldn't look right without it now. People tell me that I wear the shaved head look well, and I've even dated a bit since shaving it. I just have a very difficult time feeling comfortable in my own skin. As a bald(ing) guy with massive insecurities about it, I feel this. Every little comment I get about it I never forget. I have literally had teenagers mock me and yell slurs at me for being bald even though it is something that is completely out of my control but has had an absolutely devestating effect on my life. It's just insane.
