Right, that's the idea. It would have to be interesting enough to keep us both occupied but flexible enough to let us have other hobbies ;) Have you done it before?

Mostly established things they'd do to serve me/be submissive, I think, with established rewards if applicable. Coming up with creative ideas on how to dominate someone can be terribly fun, but is kind of a strain when you're running up against, like, a work deadline or something.

I'm gonna have to find someone who is into roleplaying a 24/7 equal relationship sometime. lol As much as I enjoy it 24/7 D/s would bore me after awhile unless there were systems in place to keep upkeep to a minimum when I'm distracted by something else. The idea is certainly appealing.

You've still got a limited range of positions, though. And I'd much rather the other party only exert himself in one way. Commensurate torso length also makes other activities easier :D :D

Hmm, I'm very curious, is there a general or consistent trend of women in more affluent classes working less? I'd say there's a general/consistent trend of the affluent classes working less, period, because they can get away with it. :) It also really depends on what you think of as working. There's many examples of European women in the nobility after the cult of domesticity began keeping busy, even with children -- covertly influencing politics, patronizing the arts, assisting their mates, etc…

The dual-income reality of today makes it hard for anyone to play that role even if they wanted to. Poor people were never playing that role. Poor women always worked. This ideal of "feminine, self-sacrificial mothers" is the province of the monetarily privileged and it has always been that way.

<33333 short dudes. You can have sex standing up god dammit! Commensurate torso height has so many advantages! Why is this so hard to understand?! (Obligatory I am thin and conventionally attractive disclaimer because apparently my point is invalid otherwise) I do understand that there's a studied bias, but overweight people have sex all the time, and for what it's worth, neither of my short boyfriends ever had a problem getting play.

Let's be clear: I'm specifically saying that the dudes from 300 and Chuck Norris don't have reason to be in a discussion regarding what women find attractive, and the examples I presented counter your thesis that "muscular > not muscular." None of those males I presented were overly muscular. The dudes from 300 are. Let's say there are both enough women who go for the androgynous type as well as enough who go for the muscular type. Let's bring up feasible examples of muscularity before we contin…

Men are generally speaking much more feminine, empathic, and sensitive than they allow themselves to be, and their vehemence about gender roles is usually overcompensation, since the price for expressing this femininity can be very high. Men are also generally much more submissive than they let on -- they're just performing gender. Even when they're dominant, men are often quite preoccupied with a woman's pleasure. They've just convinced that females are inherently submissive. If they could get …

Perhaps the concept of masculinity is universal, although how it is expressed may not be. I triple-dog-dare you to try to find a single characteristic of masculinity that is universal. Go for it. Viz. the underlying semantics or meaning of masculinity is universal: that males are put by nature to be the more competitive sex. No, that doesn't work, either. There are cultures where masculinity is associated with calmness, centeredness, rationality, and peace. Recall that in most denominations, Chr…

Whatever works. As long as women would pick the guys from 300 over young Chuck Norris, you'd have great incentive to look more like the former than the latter. Do you honestly think 300 or young Chuck Norris are held up as any kind of paragon of male attractiveness? Here, here, here, here, here, are examples from the media of characters successfully crafted to be attractive to women. TRP is masculinity, something you are directly opposed to. You want to feminize it covertly. Friendly reminder that manly men used to dress up like this. Friendly reminder that courtly love and chivalry was about being so beta you couldn't touch the object of your desire yet did pretty much anything you could that would benefit her from afar. Teacher bias has been shown to favor girls, reddit was ablaze with such a study last year. Uh-huh, that's what I implicated. And do you really think if the genders were reversed and girls were getting higher marks in standardized tests while languishing behind in grading all through their schooling life we would be bothering with such minutiae? Sure. We're making a gigantic fuss about "schools failing boys," after all. It came on the heel of the replication crisis in psychology. If you want more…

lmao, and? And, like, giant portions of the field of sociology disagree with you. Umm you don't seem to get it. Girls getting better grades on all subjects including maths when they are based on homework in large part proves that girls put more effort than boys even in the fields that they are less likely to choose than boys. Even GCSEs saw the same pattern until homework was removed from the maths exam. That's one corner of the analysis, but there's a lot more going on here, including potential…

You have a rosy view of stereotype threat itself. I don't have a "rosy view," I've got the field of sociology. As for girls stop doing maths, they already do more of it than boys in school, that boys do better despite a verbal disadvantage atop it only shows how much better they are. Actually, girls currently make higher grades than boys on all subjects through their school years; boys tend to do better on standardized tests. You have a very permissive idea about what a relationship is because you even talk about sucking dicks alongside your girlfriend in group sex. So it's really hard for you to turn around and talk from a moral high ground about another man shamelessly displaying a mere shirt that depicts half-naked sexy women on it. Uhhh, no. Appropriateness is based on context. Presumably, powerkick does not suck cock alongside his girlfriend during group sex in an interview. I don't think it matters much in any …

If telling girls they suck at math makes them stop doing math instead of rising to the challenge to prove everyone wrong they are already unconcerned with achievement and greatness from the outset You have a rosy view of how stereotype threat is overcome. We also tell men they're less empathic, and they're less empathic as a result-- if you stop telling them that, they become equally empathic to women. We operate unconsciously, not out of sheer willpower; that's a libertarian fantasy.

Why don't you believe testosterone level is responsible for greater status seeking behavior in males? This is a shift in topic. Keep in mind we're discussing "inherent male dominance." But, I'll be charitable at this bit of sloppiness since I see how one would link status-seeking to the issue. For one thing, as I said, the testosterone issue is complicated by the fact that females are substantially more sensitive to it/efficient at using it. It's still quite valid to point out that men have more…

No, actually, there have been studies even newer than yours (Princeton -2011) that do support the scientific fact that testosterone increases status seeking behavior in general, whether that's attained via aggression or mutually beneficial dealings. No, actually, status-seeking behavior is distinct from aggression. There is not a drect link between testosterone and aggression; there's a link between tesosterone and status-seeking, and that can just as well take the form of the opposite of aggres…

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2029601 Your study is over two decades old, and, as my link (and other studies) aptly show, our cultural neuroses over testosterone have an enormous influence on behavior-- much more predictable than testosterone itself. Given that, it would be absolutely vital to know if any human subjects knew they were being treated for testosterone before assessing their behavior. if a male dom starts abusing his female sub legally in a lot of places she can kill him and get a way with it And yet, most rapes aren't reported and for all of the backlash against rape/domestic abuse we still have a culture that encourages all women to develop an ironclad case of Stockholm Syndrome. Testosterone is not linked to aggressive behavior note: "those test subjects who believed they had received the testosterone compound and not the placebo stood out with their conspicuously unfair offers" The perception of testosterone (aka constructions of masculinity) is what leads to men being domineering assholes. Actual testosterone leads to status-securing cooperative offers. Also women have less testosterone than men but are way more sensitive to it and efficient at using it

Male bodies are built for dominance (or at least to compete for it). Why wouldn't their minds be built the same way? God give me patience. So is it equally apparent to you that having a bigger brain means you're smarter? That's intuitive, right? I've read some of those studies, and they categorize "submissive" and "dominant" in a highly idiosyncratic way to get the results they want. I'd love to see an example of this. The definitions I've seen took female submission a lot further than "passive partner," and likewise took female domination further than "woman on top." Most of this nonsense is done on a subset of WEIRD. And if your theories held water at all -- lacking in nuance, complexity, or insight as they are -- they'd apply to WEIRD as well. An argument against male submission I am aware of is that with the male have a larger muscular and endurance capacity then women, he is most logically suited for more demanding work and greater positions of power. This assumes a psychological dimension of "domination" to accompany the (typical) larger musculature which has simply never been established. It does not follow, furthermore, that being suited for "more demanding work"* means that one has more than the political capacity of a gnat. Com…

Male sexual submission is an aberration of the sexual order, Articulate how it is even possible to be a "aberration of the sexual order." Half of men have submissive fantasies. Memes in patriarchal cultures that support the idea of woman as ruler of the household (if not politics) and praising uxoriousness are common. This is not an aberration. How can you people spend so much time and effort discussing something that has been established thousands of years ago? Because it's extremely complicated and not simple. I don't need to give a defense of the assertion, look at the TRP. They clearly complain about it. That's one of the reasons BPers get their panties in a bunch. I'm pointing out that this is a quasi-religious use of a concept in place of a proper analysis. This isn't an argument or a debate, it's a statement of fact. "Female solipsism" is not a fact. It is a concept, and it's one you need to defend, and, in the very least, explain how it relates to the topic at hand. It is not self-apparent in the slightest.

Nobody who isn't throat-deep into TRP even understands what you're talking about. It's theater; you can invent anything you want in theater. If you can't separate theater from reality, you're going to have very big problems with life. This is trite. I'll give it to you straight: porn ≠ reality. Porn is a component of reality and the objective findings are far more plausible than your rant about what you find attractive :) Why would a man search "mature" when, at any point, he could search for a fresh young 18 year old? Straight men don't like cougars any more than they like obese women. It's a fetish at best. If it's a fetish, it's a remarkably widespread one. Searches for those topics were usually in the top 5. This book has plenty of pertinent information and, in particular, a fascinating article on gender relations. Here is a more specific example on the fluidity of roles, even where they are present. The topic is easily researched. It's a complex topic, but the tl;dr is that less-rigid concepts of property means that concerns are elsewhere, and there just isn't the constant "hamstering" of female "inferiority" to justify social stratification. I'm not speculating on anything. I think the fact that women are unaware of basic facts about their anatomy is a tragedy. More awareness can only help us in having better sex! The female erection is not the same thing as the male erection, it's not inspired by the same things, it's not the same. You said "women don't get boners." I definitely find most single (and technically therefore "available") women from the age 35 forward to be gross and unattractive. ~swoon~ More for me and the boys who like cougars :) I like younger women too, but older women are often so much more aware of themselves sexually -- female bodies are complex! -- and as such they're often a lot more fun to please in bed. So glad gay people don't have the age hangups that straight people do.

That's a flaw in the data; other studies have shown that men will prefer what they perceive to be an attractive women over unattractive ones, regardless of age. (For instance, they preferred a perceived-to-be-beautiful 37 year old to 20 year olds they considered homely.) With OKCupid, they are very likely to be swayed by cultural norms regarding aging, since the age of the person on the profile is very prominent. Also, this is Quickmatch ranking, not who they actually message. They're more reali…

Why are existing hunter-gathering societies largely patriarchal? Many hunter-gatherer societies are quite egalitarian. It's true that they are sometimes not devoid of sexism, and often contain a (usually flexible) concept of division of labor, but even those are not usually patriarchal in the sense of institutionalization. Contemporary hunter-gatherer societies have also been influenced by agricultural ones through trade, etc. Also, societies historically have not been as patriarchal as has been…

My point is that "LMV" means something very specific; TRP has specific ideas about what "value" they are referring to.

I was pointing out that she said basically the same thing RP people say. Your values being very different, I'm sure that her definition of "useless" isn't quite what you mean by LMV.

When did the Patriarchy develop? Post-agriculture. Why is it so common in otherwise disconnected cultures? Why is racism so common in otherwise disconnected cultures? Because we by instinct trust people who look similarly to us. That says nothing about the biological "inferiority" of other races. Patriarchy is easily explained by sex differences, i.e., men are stronger than women and don't bear children. That, in and of itself, explains things handily without any psychological component, i.e., g…

Do you consider the "popularity" of PIV to be largely due to the patriarchy rather than biology? The emphasis of that sex act to the exclusion of others is probably due to patriarchy, but I think there is probably a biological component to it. On the one hand, lesbian porn is astronomically popular with women, most of the time for the simple reason that it portrays sex acts that are not PIV and involve an emphasis on female pleasure. On the other hand, actual lesbians typically enjoy penetration…

Of course. It utterly astounds me that TRP can think that male promiscuity is not a problem for most women. What the hell did they think Don Giovanni was about?

Low value men. Don't twist DeliriousWoman's words to fit your TRP jargon.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
