Statistically men will leave for any chronic health issue in a spouse: cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, MS, autistic children or any disabled child. Men are seemingly raised to be more 'selfish'. Not sure if this applies to young men but certainly men in 40's, 50's and above. My shrink, says she has started to see a 'catchup with younger women in 30 and younger who will leave a sick male spouse. I got dumped for a younger healthier 'ho; I have MS after 20+ years of marriage and two grown kids. His …

Very slowly...If you want it to last, let nature take its course.

Be financially competent enough to afford your lifestyle. Relationship potential is always a sexual value. If you are a player, I wouldn't waste my time. Be healthy. You don't have to be perfect, but be healthy. Be well groomed. If you have a beard, Duke Dynasty facial hair is fine it you are multi millionaire. Most women like a trimmed up beard. If you have long hair, keep it neat, trimmed once in awhile. Be open to new interests, new dating actitivites. Two things I notice and are important to…

Being kind is part of the human experience to me. For those who you respect, care about and love, you help make them smile, you make them laugh, you bake for him, He changes your oil or you change his oil and he bakes you a cake. Does it matter who does what? What matters to me is that we as people reach out and use whatever our talents are to enrich and ease the lives of those we care for.

For me, I would probably pick the comedian. Being able to make someone laugh, is a better basis for a relationship than attractiveness. Especially since attractiveness often comes with arrogance, a sense of entitlement (Scumbag Stacy) and poor treatment of others, just because they are attractive. Look at pro athletes and the women trouble they have. Status scale does give the nod to attractive people. But its a small slice of the world.

not sure I agree..I am older. So perspective may be different. Older good looking guys typically can go for much younger women. Younger Women trade age for money. Older guys who are average score more attractive older women. I still think that a guy that makes a girl laugh has the best odds of all.

I really recommend that you review your states marriage and co-habitation laws. You can't avoid all financial obligations when you are in a partnership. Even if you accidentally father a child, the state will usually hunt down the 'father' and make him reimburse the social program that pays any of the child's upbringing. It surprises me how little men know of these legal views of partnerships. As a taxpayer myself, given the long term marriage, the law views the former spouse, male or female as …

Yes, I feel 'entitled' to some of his income due to the length of the marriage and my health. Otherwise the taxpayers may find themselves footing the bill. Considering his income, he can easily contribute.

my kids are college aged. In CA, there is an expectation of a 55/45% income split. Doesn't matter which sex it is. So if I was the High earner, I would pay him. Given my ex makes $12k, I have no problem getting $2k a month from him. The cost of my medical care plus other crap is high enough I have to consider living somewhere else.

Considering how much I boosted his career during 23 years of marriage, small price for him to pay. The cost of my medical care plus other crap is high enough I have to consider living somewhere else.

Life isn't fair. At least there will be an end to this once the kids are 18. I am on the other end of situation that I don't know how it will come out. My ex makes $12k a month. We were married 23 years. I have MS. State law calculates I should get $2k a month. He wants to give me nothing. So to court we go. I worked my entire life. I have a pension, but I made 1/3 of what he made. I wish I didn't need help from him. I wish I could just walk away, but I will be in wheelchair eating catfood. Life…
