I’ve seen plenty of my girl friends call a guy pathetic for crying...it’s men and women

Do you have any books about nutrition you can recommend? I need to lose weight, but I want to learn how to eat healthy so I can make a lifestyle change.

It’s a cultural thing. Men are shamed for showing emotion. We think less of men who share their feelings.

Here’s an idea: if you don’t like this subreddit, then don’t visit it.

Women secretly love getting attention from men, no matter what they say. It’s a compliment. Also it’s ridiculous what some people define as cat calling. If you watch the video of that one girl walking around New York, they consider a guy saying “have a good day” catcalling.

I totally agree. Like you said, it’s annoying that so many people assume that you have to experience something to understand. For example with reproductive rights women claim men can’t have a say in it because they aren’t a woman and they don’t understand. To a certain extent that’s true, but men are allowed to form an opinion because reproduction involves both a man and a women. It’s the double standard of feminism. Apparently women know everything about men, but men know nothing about women.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you for sharing! I was just annoyed how the OP grouped all guys together. In the past, I’ve been sexually assaulted even though I told the guy to stop many times. But on all other occasions every guy I have encountered has gotten the hint that I’m not interested or left me alone when I said no. Every guy is different.

Just to clarify, I’m the one who posted the comment about the post being a joke. It pissed me off that they assume men aren’t smart enough to understand consent. Men 100% understand consent, especially in this day and age because their whole life could be ruined by one false accusation.

Ok I’m not a dude, but I would list your height in your bio and maybe make a cute joke about it. I’ve meet many cute guys who aren’t much taller than me (I’m 5’3). There’s always going to be those girls out there who want every guy they get with to be at least 6’. I think it’s unrealistic because the majority of men aren’t that tall. Or maybe if you don’t want to list it in your bio, then you can make sure to inform them when you start talking with them. There’s a lot of short girls out there to…

I would assume that women do it to try to make themselves more desirable. They’re basically bragging about attention they get from guys. They also use it as a way to try to make guys jealous. Don’t fall for it. I’m a girl and I have no idea why women do this. These are just my personal observations. Hope this helps :)

In what context was it? Like was she talking about going on a date, or just meeting guys in general?

I agree. I’ve learned that it is very important to hold my tongue when I feel angry, because I can’t think logically when I’m in an emotional state. This girl is clearly not used to being told no, so I’m glad OP didn’t let her get her way. She used personal attacks because she has no valid arguments to explain her behavior. I guarantee she’ll try to contact the OP again when she’s feeling lonely or she needs attention.

She got upset because she is no longer in control. She tried to control the status of your relationship, and because you denied her offer to be friends she got angry and insulted you.

You’re exactly right!! I have so many people telling me what I should do with my life and it’s so confusing. I will definitely take your advice and take time to explore on my own. I also loved how you emphasized that with every decision comes a cost, and that my decisions now will affect my life in the future. I will make sure to be mindful of my decisions. Sometimes it’s difficult not to make impulsive decisions at this age. Also, I’m curious what do men value when looking for a LTR? And when i…

My mom is a nurse, and she has always inspired me, so thank you for that suggestion! I really want to get more into cooking/baking. Also, I work with seniors and I love talking to them because they are so wise. This sounds silly, but I’m able to relate to them more than I’m able to relate to people my own age. And I promise I’ll start taking care of my skin😊

There are hundreds of books in my house. My dad loves reading. I want to read more, but I find it hard to focus.

I agree! I’ve had a few drinks in the past, but I would never drink around boys. Also, I started taking new medication and I’m not supposed to drink alcohol while I’m taking it, so now I can’t drink even if I wanted to. I never liked alcohol that much, so I’m glad I have an excuse not to drink.

I’m definitely going to add more calcium to my diet. I had no idea about that. I’m also going to work on making my days more productive because sometimes I sit in bed and do nothing all day. I’ve already started saving money for the future. It’s really hard for me not to spend money because I love shopping haha. Thank you for your wisdom💜

Boys are so frustrating at this age! They have bad intentions, and it breaks my heart when a girl is oblivious to this. At this age guys are just looking for someone they can have sex with. Girls care more about their boyfriends than school. I limit my social media use. I don’t have an Instagram or twitter. I only have Snapchat. Thank you for the advice💕

Thank you! This is very helpful. If I reflect back on my past goals, I think I couldn’t complete them because of emotional factors, so I totally relate to you to in that aspect. I’m going to start making a list of goals I have, and I’m going to have my best friend hold me accountable. Again thank you so much for replying, it means a lot to me :)

I agree with you. It’s difficult not to let the behavior of my friend’s influence me. Some of my friend’s sleep around, and dress provocatively and because of this, they get a lot of attention from boys. I get jealous because guys never talk to me. I feel bad because I do claim that I’m non-judgmental when they tell me about their bad decisions, but in reality I have a hard time understanding their actions, and I do judge them for it.

Thanks you for replying :) do you have any skincare tips for acne? I don’t have cystic acne, but I do have a lot of clogged pores/blackheads in my T- zone area. My skin is also very sensitive, so many skincare products make my skin dry, but oily at the same time. I’ve never found drugstore products that work on skin. Are there any high end skin care brands you recommend?

I need to work on taking more time to analyze information. Sometimes I make impulsive decisions and then I end up regretting them. When you talk about fun, what does that involve?

I love how positive your advice is :) I want to go to college but I have a hard time trying to decide what to major in because obsessed with the idea of becoming a mother (I know I’m only 17, but I’m still excited to have a family). I definitely need to explore my talents more. I need to start some hobbies because I literally do nothing except hang out with friends and sleep. Do you have any suggestions for hobbies I could start? I love what you said about the tanning beds . I have very pale ski…

Thank you for replying! I love your advice of setting boundaries. I want to set up boundaries but I don’t know where to start. Would you be able to give some examples of the boundaries you have? Also, what is included in your self love routine?

Thank you for the advice! It’s very important for me to have a routine/list of things I’m going to do, or else I don’t get anything done. Sometimes I’ll make goals, but I never seem to follow through with them. I’ll lose motivation after a short period of time. Do you ever experience this too?

Thank you for the advice! I’ve always wanted to get married young, but I know it’s a bad idea. I’m scared I’m going to make an impulsive decision because I really want to start a family.

Feminism is not needed in 2018. Although I agree with this particular group on the transgender issue, I have a hard time trying to rationalize their ideology overall. I’m in high school and most girls my age would identify as a feminist. Whenever I say I’m against feminism, someone always replies with “ Are you against women’s rights? I hope you know feminism means equality between the sexes”. I’m always confused by this statement, and I usually respond with “What rights do men have, that women …
