3	Oh, it’s not? From the company POV, it makes sense to retain good employees because the next person they hire could be a dud, or hurt productivity in some insidious way. If it takes a month to replace you (not to mention training), and you generate X revenue for the company per month... the math may indeed work out that a raise is better. Plus, a raise can buy loyalty... at least short term. 6	Oh, it’s not? Changing jobs isn't easier imo. When you change jobs, you basically have the same discussion to negotiate a higher salary anyway. Asking for a raise can be as simple as noting your accomplishments, citing market value with real data, and asking for more. They may still say "no" but asking should be pretty straightforward. I wanted to see a rational discourse about Men's Rights Issues in this subreddit, and it has utterly failed to deliver. A large percentage of the posts I see here are about women doing bad things. She yells at him, and hits him, which is of course, wrong. He retaliates and hits her back. This is not self-defense... this is to respond to an insult. Anecdotally, everyone I know went into manual labor jobs because of circumstances they didn't want. Whether they aren't very smart, or 'something' happened that made it the best choice... I have not witnessed a person who wanted to be a ditch digger. Women are not pushed by society to be physically strong, while men are. That is the Men's rights issue here. Besides that, there are various orginizations dedicated to women in construction and mining. I didn't find one for logging, but that is beside the point. This is about men's rights just like the people who say, "Well how come there is no WHITE entertainment television?" are arguing about equal rights for white people. It is just pointless bitching.
