Lifting is beneficial in a myriad of ways, (nearly) every man can do it, see results and improvement. Most guys don't lift, or take care of themselves or their body in any significant, meaningful way. By doing so, you are taking a low hanging fruit that pays dividends as life goes on.

A bit of an ambiguous question. We don't know what your work is like. Keep reading and learning, and when you understand the material, try to apply it to YOUR specific circumstances and life. If you read and repeatedly see something like "Stand up for yourself, don't let others walk all over you."
