I read the title as "The fix for the itis" and was about to suggest a nap as a cure before my brain started working again lol keep up the good work OP.

Sociopaths absolutely make the best PUAs. To be able to emotionally manipulate others using game is what pickup is, but if you happen to not be able to experience emotions yourself, thats a huge advantage. You don't fall in love, you don't feel rejection, social pressure, none of it.

Their clinical value is being explored and shows promise for treating depression and PTSD, as well as other mental issues. But, its not going to transform your mind. You are not going to be able to slowly erase your personality and replace it with a superhero pickup artist. If you read The Game by Neil Strauss, you'd know that at the end of the book, he and some of his PUA buddies are almost driven insane and into depression by all the fake bullshit they do to get laid and he learns that in the …

You couldn't pay me money to take an 18 year old girl on a date. What the fuck do you do? Get cookies and ice cream? They're CHILDREN for all practical purposes. I do not understand how any dude over the age of 25 has any interest in going out with an 18 year old girl.

Bruh if you want to get arrested for stalking, breaking & entering, or both, then do this. Otherwise, try something normal.

I unfortunately don't have much insight, even though I am from a small college town in the South. I have always been interested in how pickup translates down from large, cosmopolitan cities like NYC, LA, etc., to smaller Southern or rural towns and cities like Athens, GA, Jackson, MS, Birmingham, AL, or others. If I were to give you advice (take it with a grain of salt), I would tone down any really forward or aggressive approaches. You didn't really explain your approach method in the cases whe…

I would have loved to know that it was possible for them to be attracted to me. I feel that would have been a great starting point.

Fantastic post- it needed to happen. The PUA community has gotten a bad rep among many women (and men) for being casually sexist, misogynistic, and full of assholery. I don't think that's true and this post and new policy will hopefully help curb these hurtfull attitudes, from both women who have them and from men who feel this way.

No doubt parts of this ring true for many of us. However, i would like to caution people against believing every word of this cynical piece. The take away is that merely going through the traditional rigmarole of dating is not necessarily going to get you what you want. Just like we always say here in seddit, you have to bring something to the table- be you, be unique, be real. The gentleman figure isn't really being real. The "alpha" guy is being real- he is being honest, true, and real. His in…

I was being pretty facetious, I felt like that was obvious. What he did was pretty impressive and quite an excellent lesson in pick-up. But, the beep was really too loud. :)

I do not think that it "fundamentally rewires" your brain. That's very strong language. Addiction to drugs is one thing, and while I believe that it is possible for someone to be addicted to video games, or pornography, I do not think every young male is. I think they are just being lazy and taking the easy way out. I was just trying to let everyone know that it is not the video games themselves and not the pornography itself. Its YOU, or US, rather, that does it. If you allow these things to co…

I do not think the demonization of video games and internet usage really helps people understand why this is happening (I believe it is happening). People are likely to ball up and scream when they hear that playing video games is making them losers. I do not believe that this is the core of the issue. Isolation in general makes ANYBODY less skilled in social interaction. If you want to be able to talk to girls, then you need to go and talk to a bunch of girls. Practice makes perfect. Playing vi…

As a young man raised in the Southern US, a region steeped in the fading art of storytelling, as shown by some of our more recognizable citizens' distinct aptitude for the craft, I have gathered through life observations, fascinating experiences, and a somewhat dry sense of humor, that people all love to hear a good story as well as the ability to tell one. Most all of the stories I have related to groups of my peers are true, with a spin of excitement and level of intrigue that borders, and som…

I don't think so. Is it an archaic term used to signify a courteous, chivalrous, and most likely wealthy, upper-class type of man? Yes. I think the term "lady" is the counterpart to this and I think it is just as loaded of a term as gentleman. Do I consider it a variation of a "real man?" No. Actually, I have the opinion that a "real man" actual conflicts very heavily with the idea of a "gentleman." Real men can be of any social or economic class, are not identified by their ability to navigate …
