Oh gosh it's been so crazy hot here lately. The weather all over has been just weird tbh. I'm good! Tis the season to be sociable and all that. Family visited, catching up with friends, vacation, parties, Pride parade, basketball stuff, anniversary. I am so wiped from all the people but it's been fun.

Heeeeeyyyy its been awhile! How is everyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 11:59 AM

Destiny 2 is so fun. I got so lucky, Vex Mythoclast and Buried Bloodline. Exotic hunting is like the most fun part of the game.

I mean. We all learn more about ourselves and what we like by trying things and having experiences. I certainly have better refined and shaped the exact things I like and don't like over time because I tried different things and landed on the stuff I like the most.

My friends have pulled me back into Destiny. I forgot how much fun this game is.

Front facing jobs sure are something. I almost got attacked last night by some psycho who snapped when I told him we couldn't do something for him.

To a degree. But I wouldn't fault anyone for taking revenge for some things. Like the parents who take revenge on people who molested their children.

Hey, the hardest I've ever cried has definitely been therapy. Its hard reliving some things. Its a good thing to get those feelings out sometimes.

I mean. I've dated people I grew into liking over time. Lots of people do at some point. Its a pretty normal thing.

Ew. Ew ew ew. Its wild to see how many dudes think like this and just keep it in the back of their heads and it colours everything they do. I guess it's better when they make it obvious and you can steer clear than it is when a guy is two faced but either way.. ew.

Tightrope by Electric Light Orchestra, The Way by Fastball, Village Green by The Kinks, Nights on Broadway by the Bee Gees, Curses by The Crane Wives. I don't think I could pick between those. But Electric Light Orchestra is my favourite band in general.

Lol my partner is going crazy over the Knicks right now. That 1 point win was wild.

Hmmm.. 5-15%? Honestly most of my alone time is when I'm in transit from place to place or the rare occasions I'm home alone or working alone. I'm almost always around someone, whenever I'm out I'm with friends, I rarely work alone, my partner and I are always pretty physically close.

Ehh I'd rather take it slow than jump the gun and marry someone before I'm 30+ most of the time. I just happened to find someone I'd be willing to marry before then but not everyone is going to get that lucky.

I've had some exes be a little fussy over me having so many guy friends lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 03:56 AM

I thought my paranoia was bad. Girl, you really gotta go see a therapist about this. I mean all the power to you but this isn't coming from a healthy place. I've always been cynical of others too and it took awhile to be willing to completely trust someone but a lot of that comes from being willing to fuck around and find out a bit with some people, know your own worth enough to walk whenever they aren't all that, and use that knowledge to enhance your pattern recognition until you find someone …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:56 PM

I feel like I'd just be depressed knowing that what I have is a farce I'm paying for rather than anything real. I just learned how to discern good from bad people with a couple mistakes along the way.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:47 PM

A man getting his testicles tazed and tortured at a conversion camp isnt going to make him less gay. Just more ashamed of himself and who he is, usually to the point of fully closeting himself, self harm, or suicide.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:15 PM

Whoever taught you that one must not have understood the argument very well then haha. It's an explanation that relates to the data that shows when cultures are more accepting of queer people, queer people have an easier time understanding themselves and publicly expressing themselves since there's no shame or societal recourse for them doing so. Those people were always queer, if they were alive today they'd still be queer, but if they were say.. stuck in Saudi Arabia their perception of who th…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:13 PM

I mean pretty much all research we do have has shown it to be ineffectual. People are what they are and when you try to force a change on them they tend to cover it up or off themselves.

Happy Pride Month! Can't wait to throw the party at work and go to the festival later.

Ugh caffeine always makes me feel so crappy. I swear like barely anyone has a problem with it but it always makes me feel so ill, or like my heart is going to explode.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 03:08 AM

I've got plenty of guy friends who have been fine over the years. Some definitely aren't, but the average has been fine for me. Maybe it's because I've met most of them when I was a kid, or because I've met most of the newer guy friends through other women and they're usually taken as well.

Definitely better than my parents. A LOOOT better than my parents, haha. My mom sucks at picking 'em and pretty much every dude she's ever been with has been off his rocker nuts, unhinged and volatile. I still remember almost drowning more than once because of one of them. Getting beaten as an excuse that I "need to learn how to defend myself from men". Whatever my mom's issues are, it leads her to just keep doing that cyclically over and over. I mean she modelled, she is an accountant, she's sm…

If I've heard anything from the people I've dated who weren't from the States or just other people I've known not from here is that Americans love yapping lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 02:02 PM

You'd think. Some people are just stuck in that stuff forever. What if-isms are like everything to some people, even when they have a whole life in front of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 05:11 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 05:40 PM

I hate my father but I still call him that. I know some people do the whole "sperm donor / egg donor" thing but it's not for me. Dad is the earned title to me, father is the one he gets called when he stops being a good dad. I guess I'd find it odd but I wouldn't call it a red flag.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 01:35 PM

I don't get why anyone shit tests. Its such a wild concept to me. Like how bad can you be at telling people's character to have to pull out random nonsense. I mean only a fragment of people do it but it's always not worth it.

Fair. They will be screaming at each other soon though so at least it'll be exciting in a slightly more amusing way. Good thing this meeting I've got the perfect "busy" excuse to not participate lol.

SAME, I swear we are twins sometimes. People always say I fit into the "scary alt" type at first glance and my personality isn't at all a match for that. I'm way more energetic and silly than my looks would make you think haha. Lolol except today. I went all in on some of my old tomboy stuff and apparently that's a way more disarming look.

I am so drunkk lolol. Uhhh AMA, I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 02:26 AM

I think what most people mean by that is that they don't care if most people like them or not. Like, I care if my partner and my friends and colleagues like me but anyone other random person I couldn't give a rat's ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 05:40 PM

Better no relationship than a shitty one, honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 12:25 PM

My partner on our first date had a Tennessee license plate. They gave me the biggest look of disappointment when I pointed at it and said the classic "Tennessee? You're the only ten I see!" I will never forget that lol. It was really funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 12:18 PM

I dunno how y'all come across this many women you have that problem with. Its an oddity whenever my dude friends get with someone like that and they tend to dump them and move on pretty quick from it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 12:16 PM

Not yet, but I'm well on the way to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 05:06 PM

Honestly so true. We found these super cute pieces of cats.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 04:56 PM

Thank you? Haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 04:55 PM

My anniversary trip was a blast. Narrowly avoided getting turned into a lobster from sunburns too! We overspent on some really cute art though. We even found a painting of someone who looks A LOT like me. That was wild.

That's just a problem with your family then honestly. My brother and I were both taught to cook. My father did most of the teaching with occasional extra things I picked up just watching my mom growing up. My "family recipe" comes from him too.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 02:54 PM

Hahaha. My partner's family has an unwritten rule to just not talk politics. It works for the most part. They only really seemed to argue about sports last time I visited lolol. Pack a bunch of Jets fans in a room with like two Patriots fans and watch them all go wild.

Oooo. I don't know if I could ever get to the point of calling them mom and dad but I do very much appreciate them. I'm not sure, I guess I just have a weird hangup about those titles specifically. Their whole extended family likes me. Its an odd feeling being involved so much by all of them and how kind they all are. Even their grandma sends messages asking how I am and saying hello and hoping I'll visit again and sending care packages specifically for both of us. Its all very sweet, ugh I'm go…

I think you've gotta have someone incompetent or just a shitty communicator if you're having issues with running out of things or things being left uncleaned or whatever. Two people in the kitchen shouldn't be causing issues if you're actually a good pair and good cooks. Hell my partner cooks on occasion but I do most of it, and I still use them as a sous chef when I'm cooking so the process it quicker and we can eat earlier. We even have a board for things we're out of if we think we'll forget …

I wonder what the ratio is of people who like their in-laws / future in-laws versus those who don't really like them. My partner's have their moments but they're usually pretty thoughtful and sweet. They're about what I'd expect of good but stern parents. They just flew in to spend a day with us before our anniversary and took us out for sushi, tea and a hike. It was very kind of them. Maybe I just come from a bad background so this is supposed to be the norm for family but it is very nice that …

This regular who has been hitting on me a bunch at work and asking questions about me and my schedule behind my back has, I think, finally taken the hint. A coworker told him I'm engaged, he tried flirting a couple more times and now he's finally stopped.

Pfft. You're a wild character. I wouldn't say sexual harassment is "lobster too buttery". Having people grope you or try to say unhinged things they'd do to you or follow and stalk you or just straight up push themselves onto you aren't exactly pleasant things. Love the random inclusion on homeless people just to poison the well a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:26 PM

Its the pervasiveness and consistency of it, on top of the lag of regard for the other person. If it wasn't all the time and wasn't filled with experiences of pushiness and creepiness or worse then people, or at least I, wouldn't care as much.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 12:28 PM

Some people are WILD I swear, lol.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 01:06 AM

The men and women I've seen do it usually do it out of a comfort. Its familiar, they're used to feeling like that's what love is. Whether from a string of poor choices or from abusive family and examples in their childhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 01:02 AM

I feel this in my soul
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 02:14 AM

Most of the people I know who had done something with an ex but won't with their current partner is because they didn't actually like doing it much the first time and was just trying it out. Or they didn't like it and thought they had to do it to keep someone around and learned later in life you shouldn't have to do things you don't like. Like I had an ex who pushed me pretty hard into being uncomfortably rough with them and I felt like crying and throwing up afterwards for hurting them. I'd nev…

This resident evil has to be the easiest for challenge modes thus far. I'm like 70% of the way to finishing both no heal and no crafting on the same run.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 04:51 AM

I've had so many people in my life tell me I will be or that I deserved to be assaulted. Its wild how many people think like that and just think it's okay to spit that out.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 11:19 PM

Can conclude, RE9 is very good. Recommend. Time for the challenge runs.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 10:11 PM

Sounds about normal to me. Its a tool with a purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 12:18 PM

Shitty childhoods, ahoy. Mine wasn't great either. That's why I've always made it keen to pick people well. I'm not spending a lifetime with someone like my father, and I'm certainly not bringing any kids into the picture like that either. Still think it's odd how hung up some people here are on "women choose better" as if most don't choose decently well. Can't predict everything about someone, and even most narcissists like my father know how to hide it for awhile until he's sunk his teeth in.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:51 AM

My partner and I have our anniversary trip coming up. So excited. I have the best beach outfits ready. Perfect timing too, just starting to warm up.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 02:51 AM

Honestly. Its why almost everyone I've ever dated was first a friend or a friend of a friend or someone I had already made acquaintances with through mutual interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 01:55 AM

Life's all about finding the weirdos you jive with
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 10:49 PM

Just enjoy your weirdness. You'll find people who match your freak.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 10:41 PM

Most people I know, men and women, only make like one or two particularly bad dating choices and are just fine from there. Its pretty rare to find people who just keep repeating the same mistakes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 09:04 PM

Normally, I'd agree. Unless it's from a special event of some kind or they were on a trip.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:59 PM

Its wild how often dudes think that's just gonna work on its own. On the rare person, sure, but its not like the trump card some of them think it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:56 PM

I mean, I think most people are like that. Even most of my guy friends talk like that too. It isn't just a thing with women. Unless someone makes a pretty dramatic change, more minor ones, even a handful of them, won't really change your perception of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 02:22 PM

Just because I don't think dancing would do it for me doesn't mean that I don't like other things. I like tomgirls. Guys who look feminine. Who do good self care, have good routines. Guys that know how to dress pretty and know how to do it well. Especially when their style makes them look really soft hearted, sweet and shy. Even then they have to have to right kind of personality to match that. Empathetic, as sweet as they look, gentle and rough when needed, funny, a little greedy for attention,…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 02:03 PM

Eh. Dudes can definitely figure out how to improve how pretty they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:41 PM

Hmm.. I don't know, I can't think of anything. I don't think I'm really visual like that. Even just pretty woman doing a dance isn't really gonna get me either. If they were already someone I was interested in then probably something funny or something romantic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:29 PM

Like solo or couple's? I always swoon over any dance where the person I'm dancing with has an arm behind my waist or where I get dipped. But I also like when my partner just does a goofy dance, but maybe that's just because I already like them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:23 PM

Where I live so many people are scared to try it, especially older folks. Its really a loss for them because it's so good.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:17 PM

My mom and I never really had the same music taste but it's always fun to pull out the hard rock and metal she likes every mother's day. I remember going around on dirt trails and 4-wheeling in her old 90s jeep wrangler to this music when I was a kid. That piece of shit had no roof, zip up windows, a super expensive custom sound system she put in herself and ZERO powered steering. It was fun.

It definitely is a lot of the time. I think it's a similar kind of self worth issue and insecurity that causes those same guys to hate when women have had past partners because then how could they ever know they were the best one she's ever had. Its so dumb. Let people be people and enjoy what they want to enjoy. You don't need to be the only one with a skill or hobby to still enjoy it, y'know? My partner and I both love video games. We both like to collect plushies, we both love fashion even if…

Your comments and that guy above have reminded me how I always hate these arguments. They always push the idea that masculinity and feminity are two attached requirements that one must be one way and one must be the other. It always narrows the boxes of what people are allowed to be and who they're allowed to love and outcasts anyone who won't conform. Maybe it's just because I grew up with a mom who always taught me that ideas like how men and women should be are bullshit, maybe it's because I'…

My first ever date was a movie date, lolol. We'd already known each othe for years though so we had already long gotten over the the "getting to know each other" phase. I totally agree though. After much haranguing from my friends I have finally started using Instagram. Guess I'll be posting random pictures of food, my partner and myself before long lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 02:24 AM

Why hookup with pretty people when you can date them?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 06:36 PM

I just think it's fun to talk to interesting seeming people
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 12:23 AM

Lolol my mom and I always text each other a specific time beforehand so we can't miss it
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 11:12 PM

Lol I have had the occasional person around here tell me there must be something wrong with me and that my type must clearly just be a cope because I can't get a "muscular Chad". Even when I expressly say I'm not into that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 10:19 PM

W--why even drink it if you're just gonna nap after
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 02:31 PM

Damn, just like a third of an energy drink makes me feel like my heart is going to explode out of my chest.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 02:21 PM

Seeing how withdrawals and "the need" affects other people around me, it definitely has some addictiveness to it so I can see how the techniques rules would apply. I'm sure the only reason I don't have the same problem is because my caffeine hyper sensitivity keeps me from ever using it haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 02:04 PM
21

I mean I'm not the biggest fan of random people coming up to hit on me just in general but someone giving me their number would be a lot better than asking for mine. So long as they don't demand me to text them on the spot or try to force me to use it right there and then. Have had that before.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 11:57 AM

Hmm well I can talk about how I met people generally and how things evolved. 3 of the 5 women I dated were friends of friends when I first met them, 1 was through a club activity in college, and 1 was from a dating app. I mean there were some other single date types from the app as well and I can go into that too if you want but generally for the majority of anything that lasted any time it was through friends or mutual interests initially. We'd just start out talking as friends, learn what we h…

Ugh. I sound conceited here but I'm not trying to be, lol. You can ask me anything you want either about my personal experience or just what I've heard from others or whatever.

I've heard of some gals who have had issues, though half the time it was because they lived somewhere that just didn't have many other queer women. I mean, I expressly moved somewhere that'd be more accepting of me. Most of us do eventually, but you're gonna have a harder time before that. The other half usually had similar complaints to some of the guys here. Just flakiness or if you didn't know how to be sociable and present your best foot forward finding it hard to draw people in. I'll say I …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/26 12:03 PM

I mean. I've gotten plenty of attention from men and women when it comes to dating. But no matter how many people you come and go with, at the end of the day they're all still very much people. You treat them how you'd hope others would treat you and you be respectful. All of them have their own stories, even if your paths ultimately didn't mesh.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/26 05:19 AM

I tend to prefer meeting people through friends. Sometimes it can happen through other social circles like class or clubs or hobbies but friends of friends was always the best go to. I tried dating apps, and while I got lucky, they don't tend to work for most people.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/26 05:13 AM

I definitely have a type and I've only really stepped out of it partially a couple of times. And I'm very, very picky when I'm dating because I'm looking for someone who will last a lifetime. But I'm not at all picky when it comes to food or friends. I'm even a fan of a good chunk of genres of media.

It's interesting how different people can be even with similar backgrounds. I'm like the exact opposite in spite of the same circumstances. I had a horrible family for the most part, and most people I dated weren't all that close to theirs until my partner and I just don't think I'd change it for anything. I guess for me it feels nice knowing how wanted I am and how much they all want to involve me and treat me like part of the family. They've all pushed to bring me into the family traditions an…

It's a bad road to go down, honestly. Sure everyone can agree that taking away or altering genes that may increase the odds of leukemia or of depression. But then you start to muddy the water the deeper you get. What about their intellect? Can we make them smarter? Should we remove the possibility that they'll be gay? Or a less "desirable" physical trait like as some of you say height.. or as maybe some current administrations may say skin tone or race. Designer babies can go down a dark road re…

My partner has a hair appointment today. I wonder if they're going to get it coloured this time, they won't tell me what they're having done. They'd look really cute with a mix of washed pastels. It'd fit really well with all the whites, browns and creme colours they wear.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 12:42 PM

Or the guys who wear their pants down at their fucking thighs with their undies just hanging out like.. why? And they have to hold them up the entire time too, I just don't get it.

What did you get?

Though I'd add I think most people have those qualities to some extent so.. lol
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:17 AM

Yeah, pretty much. Not entirely, but some of the key parts did like being suspicious of others, valuing friends and community, and being a planner and troubleshooter, helping people I care about and being loyal to them but not really to just any random person.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:16 AM

I have dated a bi guy! And the person I'm dating now is bi too. So were a couple of my ex girlfriends. Be kinda hypocritical of me to not date a bi person if I'm bi. And no. But my first boyfriend did harass me for two years and called me a d*ke constantly during that time after I dumped him for my first girlfriend. Have also been rejected because someone was straight. But that was only once.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 11:05 PM
1

Yeah don't worry about being guilty or anything, everyone else on there is perusing as well. It only takes like a handful or so of chats to find someone worth at least going on a date with. The real hard part I found was just filtering out the people who weren't really all that worth talking to to begin with. If you're bi, you could try HER as well. There were a lot of interesting gals on there when I used it. If not I know the other ones all required a lot more filtering honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 08:32 PM
2

Haha for my short stints on dating apps I'd talk to multiple people but I'd drop everyone else as soon as I had a good first date with someone. At that point I just focused on them until it was clear we weren't compatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 07:28 PM

I mean.. I can say I haven't had it and I don't really want it. I don't get why so many guys here want it so bad in comparison to just finding someone who can be more than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 04:36 PM
2

Yep! I guess bi people get a pretty fair equal perspective on things haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 04:35 PM

Both were fine honestly. The worst relationship I had was a guy, but I've had gals do some dumb shit too. But mostly I've had guys and gals who were very sweet and thoughtful and would give as much as I would give them if not more. Some were a bit boring outside of that though, or we just didn't mesh well in terms of needs or communication or whatever. But the only real big BLOWOUTS I had were from a guy and a couple gals.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 04:15 PM
2

LOLOL. Who knoooowss. It's not like I ever shut up about them haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 03:11 PM

Call my ass paranoid but no. I'm not holding the door for anyone unless I actively know who it is. Even mailmen can be fake, faux uniforms aren't expensive.

If you have any, like, follow-up questions or anything I'm totally happy to answer. I've never hid my dating history. I was 13-14 when I had my first kiss, same time as my first relationship with a guy. I don't remember exactly but some time close to the age change. My first relationship with another gal was when I was 15. Never had casual sex. It just isn't for me so I've never agreed to it. I've had uhhhh.. 11 relationships. 5 with guys, 5 with gals, 1 non-binary. Some of them lasted a year or…

I mean.. its not very hard to tell when someone puts in effort. People act quite a bit differently if they're not really trying versus if they are, they'd dress differently, behave differently, etcetera.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 01:43 PM

REAL. Honestly, I see why so many guys like doing it now haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 01:40 PM
8

I mean.. I think almost everyone worth anyone's time is trying to put their best foot forward when it comes to someone they're dating. I've always dressed up on all my dates and tried showing off my own skills while making sure I pay attention to their efforts too to see if I like what they're putting forward. I don't really think its a gendered thing. Honestly if I liked someone and then they showed up to our early dates making very little effort, I'd just drop them and move on there and then.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 12:58 PM

I never thought I'd be strong enough to carry around my partner, haha. Guess the more intense workouts are going well. They're just too cute and it makes me want to keep it up even more. They're like a cat, putting up with it for a minute and then flailing around until you put them down lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 12:36 PM

I could not focus or get into anything at all with music playing. It was just way too distracting to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 12:16 PM

Goddamn. And that's mostly muscle???
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 06:09 AM

Most of my friends were from school. Or work. Or from queer events I volunteered in. Or from my close friends. Or from clubs I participated in during my time in school. Or from my partner. Keep in mind this comment is referring to my time growing up to now, 14-25. You only have like 5-10 friends? I mean 5-10 close friends sounds right but 5-10 overall?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 06:06 AM

First person I ever dated when I was like 14 haha. I just stuck with it because at the time it was all I was familiar with and that's just what my father showed me love meant.

I swear sometimes you say you're a feminist and some dudes and right wingers just start making the most baffling assumptions about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 02:29 PM

Bruhhh how! That's like me saying "I'm just too feminine and cutesy no masc woman would ever go for me.." LIKE WHAT. That's funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 12:19 PM

I feel like everyone who unironically calls themselves a sigma male ends up being super insecure once you start probing them enough and just use this as a defensive mask for it. Most of this is just normal stuff. Minus the money and cash stuff. And the invite thing. I mean a lot of the time invitations aren't direct and then just telling you about it is them more passively inviting you without pressuring you. Like none of this stuff is special or anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 12:12 PM

LITERALLY. Dudes like this always make me just outright witch cackle.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 12:39 AM

LOOOOL you are one of those types. That's so funny. You really gotta take some anatomy classes on women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 12:34 AM

This is the goofiest thing I think I've ever read on here and damn have I read some goofy things. This feels like an argument one of those goofballs that thinks lesbians are still virgins after sex would make. Or if some guy gets pegged by a gal then he's still a virgin, or he's gay, or something equally goofy.

I mean guilt seems like a weird thing to ask. Someone feeling guilty for something they didn't do or wasn't involved in or supported is odd. But generally I'd say people should care about whether or not the folks around them are reprehensible. Like if one of my friends, man or woman, started abusing someone or whatever, I'm doing what I can to help the victim and I'm certainly never speaking to that friend again after the fact. I've been friends with guys who've been abused, they'd certainly app…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 11:08 AM

Country girls? What does she live in the south with a bunch of hillbillies?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 10:57 AM

Between the two? Tents. I'm more of a cabin person though haha. I did a lot of tent camping when I was younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 10:54 AM

Eh. Depends on what you're looking for and what you want. If you want a more traditional gal, they're gonna expect more traditional things like that in return. If you want just something casual or even just a long term thing sure usually the first couple dates being split evenly is very fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 05:12 AM

I hate the smell from most dude products. Its always really woody or just kinda harsh and Old Spice-y. Plus dude shampoo / conditioner hybrid stuff usually kinda sucks, especially for curls.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 04:54 AM

Yes! I've done it before a handful of times in my life during different issues. You have to shop around for a good therapist though. Don't stick it out with bad ones. I've had a couple good ones and they did great for me and then I had a bad one who outright made a lot of my issues worse (anxiety, mistrust, bottling up and internalizing my emotions) and it took another therapist and a lot of introspection to fix that problem. So just make sure you're willing to branch around until you get someth…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:47 AM

I'm an INFP, my partner's never taken it before haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:41 AM

Oh! Well, thank you! It has been my whole life, its just a bit worse now than it used to be. I appreciate you asking, that was nice of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:37 AM

Lay down in the dark, play a video or some light music in the background, go completely under the covers and drive my head into a plushie so I can put pressure on it and hope that relieves some of the pain.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:48 PM

Mhm. Especially to light. I can't stand light when my headaches get bad or I get a migraine
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:35 PM

That might be it, haha. Guess my hate for the sun is paying me back in full now lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:26 PM

I go out plenty but I tend to avoid being out and about when it's super sunny, we don't get many sunny days here. But then again when I lived in a desert that didn't really make much of a difference. Who knows. Maybe I just have really dry eyes or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:19 PM

No, not at all, my eyes are a brown so dark that they almost look black.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:12 PM

Does anyone else have this horrible light sensitivity when it's bright? Like I have fantastic night vision and clarity but when it's really sunny I just cannot see. The light is almost blinding. I really have to get into the habit of sunglasses.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:11 PM

Eh. Actions speak louder than words. If he wants to prove it next time then that's on him. I wouldn't keep giving him chances if he continues to not keep his word though.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:03 PM

Damn she really gave your ass an itinerary lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:23 PM

Lots of guys can be pretty dismissive when it actually happens, whether they're a coward or they just don't actually think it's bad in practice and are just pretending who knows. I will say it's a wise thing usually to not necessarily believe when someone says they're going to protect you until you see it in action. Now whether you're okay with someone who won't actually stand up for you is up to you but generally I'd always take actions to mean more than words.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:18 PM

WHEEEEZE. Some guys really do just not want their steak juicy I guess smh smh.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:07 PM

Becoming more fit rather than just skinny. So far, so good. A couple minor setbacks here or there when I got sick or got a concussion but I'm making good headway at a pace that'll keep me from burning myself out.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:06 PM

Depends on the person, honestly. And where I'm at in life. It took me over a year to be ready for that with my first girlfriend, for my partner it was probably about 1.5-2 months. On average it was about 6 months or so.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 07:49 PM

I need love as an element to sex. Just someone being pretty isn't gonna do it for me. I need to know them, know what they're like, to love them and feel the same from them in return. Anything less and I just wouldn't be into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 06:47 PM

None, haha. Any person I ever got sexual with was during a long-term relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 06:38 PM

If you want to lose almost all your friends as a byproduct when you get caught. Usually that stuff doesn't go well for long term social life.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 02:25 PM

Goomba fallacy detected. Different people, different opinions. When I know someone I might date has a lot of past issues, I wait to see how those manifest and if they're handling them in a healthy way or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 12:28 PM

Nope. But admittedly I tend to avoid both just because I hate the taste of Cilantro so much haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 12:01 PM

Haha. It's more common in people with European ancestry, if I remember right.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 11:57 AM

Most people outside of the US tend to use coriander to mean both things lol.

Not really a particular number or anything. I'm normally not one to talk too much about that sorta thing with my partner, but every so often if we run across an ex I'll bring it up and answer any question my partner has. Or share some embarrassing thing I did with them that'll make me partner laugh. My partner has done the same before. And then we asked each other general experience level stuff and whatnot to get a gauge for that early on.

No, it makes no difference to me. I am into feminine people but whether that's in a man or another woman, I don't really care. Yep. In every way listed here and more. I prefer people to be about 5'8-6'0 since I'm 5'10 and I've dated outside of that box once both ways. I honestly don't care about my partner's income level so long as they have a fulfilling career and a life plan rather than something just dead end. Gender roles I could care less I don't need anyone to be all a traditional anything…

I feel like everyone should be repelled by that to some degree. I mean who cares if it's over dinner or something inconsequential but if they're indecisive about EVERYTHING or just basic life things or trajectory, do you really wanna be around that?

Not really. He was a player type, a narcissist and just good at pretending like he was real nice until he popped his lid. Just more of a traditional abuser. And he had a weird attachment to me. As soon as I finally got out he suddenly went off the deep end and started dating people my age and doing a bunch of drugs. We haven't talked in a couple years.

I mean, its cute, but it seems a bit simple for the price. You could probably find a very similar one for much cheaper at a thrift store or vintage spot.

Honestly same. My father actively did the opposite and tried to go out of his way to tear down any confidence I had. I managed to build up my confidence in spite of that from friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, working out, honing skills, my hobbies, etcetera. The world showed me the message my father gave me was wrong.

My best friend on occasion will buy me these random dollar - two dollar games for us to try out together or if he really wants someone to play with him and I'll do the same back. Our last stint was on Mycopunk and that was pretty fun, but now we're just getting into PlateUp and this might be my favourite level of chaos. Gotta get him and some other friends over for four player co-op some time soon.

Second this. I'm also really curious. I've usually noticed from my brother and trans friends that they act about how you'd expect their cis counterpart to but hearing your perspective directly would be really interesting.

Its very true that sapphics and men tend to trend towards different preferences, I even see it just in how I dress day to day. When my outfits lean more feminine then I bring on a lot more attention from guys versus when I go more down the punk tough girl route and get a lot more attention from other gals. This is far from universal or anything, but it is something I've just seen day to day just presenting myself differently haha.

Huh..? I'm a bi woman and I have zero clue what you're talking about, and this observation absolutely does not match up with any of my other bi friends either, nor my lesbian ones. My attraction doesn't change an ounce from man to woman and vice versa, neither do any of theirs. Hell it's even a stereotype of lesbians and sapphic relationships in general that they're very oriented on emotional bonds and develop them quickly, quite a bit different from "visual only". And hell, lots of other bi wom…

Its always so interesting to see the different things people like in their romantic partners. Like, some people really enjoy when the look of their partner doesn't match up with their personality. And some people love when you can just tell at first glance how someone is. Things like that.

I mean throwing the whole kit and caboodle at someone, man or woman, when you're first trying to get to know them or get them interested is probably not the best idea, no. It just comes off as desperate or as one of those types who thinks they'll be owed something for the gifts they give. Once you're in with someone though, go crazy, honestly. I've always been really into sweet hearted and thoughtful people and little gifts or acts of service are tangible ways of expressing that side of one's se…

Sometimes these things require quite a few medical professionals, it could possibly be something entirely different that neither of us is considering, but if one therapist isn't finding anything that could be the reason or they aren't helping how you need, then it's time to move on to the next.

That's a big executive function problem. Its not easy to get around that but its definitely a big sign of ADHD as well. Something you'd definitely want to get looked into.

It can be. It can also be a multifaceted problem. Both things could influence that, being lazy meshed with something that innately makes it harder to break out of that.

Outfit update from yesterday!! I wore a black and dark grey striped turtleneck sweater dress with a black spikey dress belt and torn black tights with my grey short docs. I had on black and copper beaded bracelet on one wrist and my silver shadowbox bracelet on the other, my usual rings, my pentacle necklace and my fairy holding a crescent moon necklace. My hair was done up into space buns so the blonde and black mixed with my front bangs down.

I doubt there's too much overlap but I dated a Dutch gal before and she was very, very sweet and very timid. Its always worth giving it a shot if you can.

Damn didn't know we had sexism in the chat with us. L.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 02:55 AM

Lol that would mean almost no one should be in touch with their ex. Feel like a law is overstepping but I agree that its best practice to not talk to your exes. Usually won't add anything good to your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 10:56 PM

Nothing is more awkward than when you accidentally cross paths with an ex. I usually just go with the "pretend I don't notice / just give each other the look and silent agreement to ignore one another" method.

They really handled the evolution of society well, I really like that aspect in a lot of post-apocolyptic worlds. Having the right follow through logically about how these groups come about and what they stand for and how they adapted to the new world they're in.

Back again with an outfit update from yesterday! I had a black tank top on with a fishnet style towards the top and a turtleneck, a pair of dark grey jeans with snakes embroidered down the legs, and my black doc boots. I had a tiger's eye beaded bracelet on one wrist and my red strapped watch on the other with my spider necklace and my pentacle necklace that's a bit longer. My hair was thrown to one side since it just curled itself perfectly on its own and I had on these cute gold, white and red…

BRUUUUHHHHH! I already have a partner. I've played video games since I was like 5 with my PS2 and my dad's 2600. You ought to try ATV off road fury some time, my brother and I loved launching ourselves off the invisible walls on the map.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:47 PM

I dunno, gaming is pretty cool. Have you ever heard of this little game called Candy Crush?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:35 PM

What so she's like.. displeased with the aesthetic of it? How lame can you get.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:32 PM

I have a couple of guy friends who've been told that before and I always advise them to dump their girlfriend lol. Its never been like an addiction thing or any reasonable explanation, its always just been people trying to be controlling. I know if I ever dated someone and they told me to give up my hobbies I'd drop them on the spot.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:29 PM

Lolol, they're so good. 2's remake is still probably my favourite. I like Claire's storyline. And the grenade launcher. I dunno though for horror there are definitely other games I like more, indie or otherwise. Dead Space, Condemned, Fatal Frame, Fear Effect, Parasite Eve, D, Fear the Spotlight, Signalis, World of Horror, Fears to Fathom, Hollowbody.

I have! I liked that one, the way it handled you having to pick between light, navigation, your timer, your gun was all very well done. I didn't like howuchcrhe sequel streamlined that stuff. It felt like the clunkiness was the point.

I tell people I'm close with or people I'm dating because it was a traumatizing thing that has effects that'll live with me forever. There are things I'll never be able to handle as well as others and I want those I care about and trust to understand that about me. Why I might not be able to do things others can do, or why I might be slower than others for trust, etcetera.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 03:14 AM

Oh I feel that. I have that hurdle when I'm trying to teach friends of mine my favourite strategy games. Its so hard to explain out the mechanics slowly in a way that keeps them engaged without overwhelming them too much. Especially with how much you have to keep track of in strategy games. Aaahhh. I go to some every so often and I've made a lot of friends out of them but never really a romantic thing. I guess kinda since one gal I dated we met at a fan club by proxy of a convention and college …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 06:01 PM

LOL that's like saying I was teaching my friends the lesson of ducking after I pop them in the skull from 500 yards away for the fifth time in a row. Hahaha, you can certainly try. My friend tried super hard to get me into Guilty Gear and I just could not stick with it. Yeah honestly you've gotta pick your battles well and kinda feel things out slowly in cases like that. It can go well but it depends on a lot of things going right and a little bit of luck tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 04:56 PM

Lolol you'd certainly kick my ass. I'm way better at shooters and strategy games than I am at fighting games. My best friend tried really hard to get me into Guilty Gear and I just couldn't. Same with Street Fighter. I remember I used to be a bit of an ass and purposefully mess with people in shooters since I have good snap aim. I don't really do that anymore though, it felt too mean spirited. Yeah, goddess, no never hit on people at tournaments. Conventions are terrible too. I've been hit on SO…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 04:47 PM

Oooof yeah fighting games would be a rough one to start a date on. Great way to learn if the person you're spending time with has anger management issues or not though lol. Yeaah finding someone into video games is probably a lot easier on my end then it would be yours. Lots of men and queer women into video games.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 04:33 PM

Get you someone you can play videogames with after the first date. Duh. Problem solved!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 04:24 PM

Haha. After the first couple gos of things, I got pretty keen on what I wanted and figuring out how to avoid people who acted at all like my father. I haven't really had an outright awful relationship since. Most ended over just incompatibility rather than anything spectacularly awful. I always shoot for the really sweet ones though so.. hard to go wrong with someone who's caring and sweet hearted by default
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 03:02 PM

Plenty of good people who had bad families that actively damaged their ability to discern good love from bad. I figured it out by the time I was an adult but not everyone gets to be that lucky with the people in their lives who aren't bad. Its some parts your own growth, and some parts luck. Luck to find the right people, luck to have someone say the right words to you, etcetera.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 02:11 PM

If the goddess gives them to you, you might as well enjoy them, lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 02:01 PM

The only outright bad relationships I was in were all when they brought me comfort in familiarity because it was the same kind of "love" I experienced in my home life with my father. It's what I thought was normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 01:59 PM

Goddess now I'm having like nam flashbacks to all the adult men I've had the displeasure of working with that still haven't figured out what antiperspirant is.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 01:36 PM

Outfit update from yesterday! Wasn't the most exciting but I had to be too physical for anything real nice. I had on a Silent Hill 3 t-shirt with Heather Mason on it tucked into a high waisted black denim mini skirt with these cool zipper teeth rimmed pockets. With that these cute mesh patterned tights and my black doc marten boots. My Silent Hill 2 oversized hoodie, my pink, black and copper beaded bracelets and my silver and resin shadowbox bracelet with flowers and mushrooms in the pendant, m…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 11:28 AM

Wow go figure that after a traumatic experience most people tend to end up acting out negatively, its kinda like how you're acting right now.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 11:54 PM

The weirdest random projection on this poor kid, I swear.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 11:50 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 11:08 PM

Honestly when people stumble around game but still try their best it can be really cute sometimes too.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 10:29 PM

I'm 25 so I think I only really get one option here lol. Not that I wouldn't pick it anyways. 5'5 is taller than the shortest I've dated.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 10:25 PM

I'm 5'10 or about 178cm . I tend to prefer people who are about 5'8 to about 6'0, or 173cm - 183cm. I like people to be close to the same height as me.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 10:06 PM

I mean it is two different things to understand objectification as part of a business model you can earn from, a la work, basically. Versus just going about your business in your day to day and having random dudes treat you like an object for their pleasure. Say, for example, I was actually a pin-up model or something. My products, the art work, is meant for you to be horny to or objectify or whatever. But me as the normal person, is not. Just because you recognise some pin-up work I did doesn't…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 03:31 PM

Oooo that's fun. I think my favourite book about culture and linguistics is my copy of the Egyptian Book of the Dead. I have one that goes a lot into how they translated things and talking about other aspects of the culture and so on. Also the Latin stories from Satyricon. The one about Trimalchio and the fancy dinner. Oooo. Do you pronounce silent letters too? I always thought it was so cute when she'd say the silent l in words like half.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 03:03 PM

Oh I should clarify. They're black with a gold rim and painted on the black are little white flowers.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 03:00 PM

That's neat lore. The first language I learned formally beside English was Latin. The fancy ass school I got into required you take that first before you could move on to either Greek, French, Spanish, German or Italian.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 02:59 PM

Non. Goddess, no I can't speak it to save my life but I can generally understand what I'm reading or what people are saying to me. AKA I haven't practiced enough since I took those classes lolol. Maybe some day it'll come back into use beyond me reading the occasional article or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 02:54 PM

Haha! It is. Chinese is a very cool language. Honestly I know I'm more of a language hobbyist than anything but it is fun to learn. Eventually I'll find one I want to commit to in full. Maybe I'll go back to French or I'll tough it out and learn German or maybe Vietnamese or Chinese. Oh!! That's so cool! I had a Dutch ex so most of what I know are just being able to recognize the phrases if someone says them. But I do know things like bedankt and alsjeblieft and goedemorgen and doei. Just stuff …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 01:55 PM

No, not at all. I know a little French, some Dutch phrases here or there, and some Spanish and Latin. But French is the only other language I can read fairly well.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 01:39 PM

You're gonna make me do this every day, aren't you?

Picking someone because they can't do something is a lot worse than picking someone who won't do something. People change, people grow, just because someone's socially stunted now doesn't mean they always will be, or that they will never be able to find someone to cheat with or make poor decisions with. Its always better to find people who prove those qualities even if they have the option to do otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 01:11 PM

Which one of those is the sub where the mods admitted they purpose try to deflate the numbers not for any "consistent rating" but to purposefully try to belittle and hurt the women who post there? I remember reading about that and the goofy ahh "bigonial tilt" or whatever other stupid stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 12:59 PM

Would be kinda funny to say that when I don't even require whomever I'm dating to have a dick to begin with. I'm good either way haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 12:56 PM

Aww I was about to say I really loved pink and chestnut brown as a combo for my hair when that was a thing. I had an ex who did red and black and that looked really good. My partner has done full maroon before and that was cute. My go to now is blonde and black. There's so many cool ones tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 12:49 PM

Outfit Update from Yesterday! Maybe I should start numbering these. A black dress with a mini skirt that has mesh and lace side slits, shoulders and arms that flare at the ends. It gives a bit of a "cheerleader" kinda vibe for how the dress looks. With that I had black mesh tights with bats on them and my black leather Mary Janes. I had a silver bracelet on one wrist and a beaded basalt and tiger's eye bracelet on the other, my usual rings, my spider necklace and a choker. Then I had my hair up …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 12:44 PM

You... Seriously don't think ONE dude could overpower 10 women? You can't be one of the people who thought 100 people would lose to one gorilla, could you? Plus we have the benefit of the great equaliser in modern society.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 12:11 PM

I mean I'm not married yet but I do like my future mother in law. She's very nice, a little old fashioned, but overall really nice and supportive. My partner's whole family is a lot like that. Only downside I've noticed is that they aren't always the best at understanding concepts they don't experience too much themselves like my partner's choice in style or various other issues they don't personally face. They'll try though and that's better than a lot of parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 11:54 AM

That sounds goofy. And implausible. You'd have to take me to the grave to even admit to something like that even if I thought it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 03:57 AM

I think I'd cease being able to function properly if my partner died. So in practice, no, I'd never say that. But I guess if my hypothetical husband was abusive or vindictive, after decades I may be both sad and happy he was gone.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 03:43 AM
4

Yep. Myself and other sapphics I know could talk about the type you're mentioning here, either from experience or from stories. They aren't "going gay", most of them just go right on back to dating dudes after whining on the Internet or in person. Occasionally one of them will actually realise they're bi, most are just being performative and will still be homophobic or weird the minute they're presented with the actuality.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 11:53 PM
4

Obviously. I may be bi, but it gives me a good perspective in being able to tell you from the inside that yes, yes there are plenty of straight women.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 10:19 PM

A lot of dudes know that, lol. You can literally look it up too. You should always look up other people doing something you're unfamiliar with first to see the minor details you may not have considered as a beginner.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 08:15 PM

You.. you're supposed to use flour or oil to keep it from sticking to the things like your hands and the bowl.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 07:56 PM

Its not gay if a woman-- what? Do you know what gay means, lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 07:05 PM

Damn. Bad taste.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 06:28 PM

Lol it's fine, I'm always interested in learning more about areas of the world I don't know a lot about.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 05:06 PM

Tier list could be funny. Maybe I'll commit to that if I don't get bored doing this every day haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 03:11 PM

Oh yeah, they're great. You can't tell either so they're like the perfect defence tool.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 03:11 PM

Hahaha. Feels funny rating my own outfits when I generally like all of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 03:01 PM

Outfit update from yesterday! A sports bra and track shorts, both black. Same with the running shoes, except they're steel toes so that's fun. And then my oversized Silent Hill hoodie when I wasn't working out lol. Yeah, it wasn't the most exciting outfit ever.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:44 PM

Sharing is caring!! My brother and I used to fight over sharing snacks and stuff, haha. Or over who got control of the TV. Or just teasing each other, we did a lot of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:39 PM

True enough. Usually people go down the avenue of just not talking to each other or they do actually start getting along, haha. But that's never gonna be universal or anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:36 PM

Looking for people who still have that "bad boy" look without having that expected personality type or the negative traits you'd assume to come with it isn't a horrible avenue to pursue. My partner likes that in spite of me being very goth and giving off that pretty mean girl vibe at first glance I'm basically a golden retriever when it comes to love haha. You get the look you like, someone with a little bite but overall very sweet and kind. It isn't the easiest thing to find, I imagine, but if …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:34 PM

The nature of siblings, lol. You'll fight a bunch until one day you don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:25 PM

I think you get a medal for being the only person to at least acknowledge the favourite outfit part lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 09:57 PM

Ooo that's fun. In that colour?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 09:56 PM

Lolol bruuuh
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 08:43 PM

Q4A: What would you call your typical day to day style? How do you usually like to dress? Also, what's your favourite outfit you own and why?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 08:28 PM

I dunno, I'm 5'10 and I've never required anyone I date be taller than me. I generally prefer like 5'8-6'0 but I've dated over that and under that before. Its not always a given that any tall gal is gonna want some behemoth of a dude for a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 07:18 PM
4

Definitely not lol. Met plenty of men and plenty of women who'd fit into both categories. I dunno how you haven't but it really isn't that hard to come across.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 05:49 PM

I mean fashion is ongoing. Been really into Residential Evil lately too. You?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 04:36 PM

That's what.. most people do? I just focus on myself and look around and once I find someone then I try it with them until I know it won't work and I move on.

And get doxxed or get my face used in some undressing AI crap? No thanks, lol.

Outfit update from yesterday! A cute black semi-transparent turtleneck lace top with cut-out keyholes in the front and back and flared sleeves. I guess for people who don't know what a keyhole is, think back window and chest window. Then I had these cute mineral grey high rise jeans that were boot cuts with embroidered black snake skeletons running down the sides. My black doc marten boots, my pink, black and copper beaded bracelets on one hand and a set of silver bracelets on the other with my …

My brother and I used to fight a ton as kids but once we were both like 16 we just kinda stopped. We got along a lot better starting around then.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 09:49 PM

Eventually, I'd like to adopt. I don't plan to take that on until I'm in a much better place financially. Ideally I'd like to own a home first.

I have to be in love and comfortable with someone before I'm thinking about and wanting that sort of thing. I might think someone is attractive and pretty before that but I'm not thinking of anything sexual before then. So usually a few months. Used to be like a year but it's not that slow anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 04:46 PM
1

Yep. It's not that hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 04:35 PM

Exactly. Like if someone tells me they're in debt from college but they're a fucking lawyer or an accountant or something then that's cool. But if they're 10k in credit card debt from consumer spending then NOPE I'm out.

Don't really care so long as they can pull their weight in bills and can make responsible monetary decisions. Someone who has something that isn't so dead end.

Eh, I'd think of it more like a prerequisite than an exchange. While the food is an exchange of foods for service, marriage is just a step in love leading into sex. If you're going into it thinking of marriage as an exchange, then you probably shouldn't be in that relationship to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 11:54 AM

Haha. And some guys prefer no makeup. You'll find plenty of people with differing preferences. And usually appealing to niches you'd not thought of before has the chance to make a lot of a difference.

I mean I'm not ready for a kid so that'd kill it but assuming it was from something else, I think its kinda metal. Especially if she goes ahead with the tattoo idea. I dig it, its hot.

Yesterday's fit! A long velvet and lace black maxi dress with a low cut and two high slits for my legs. A crop black cardigan that mimics a blazer a bit in its style. Five inch heels with a few straps that run up my ankles and silver crescent moons dangling off the backs. A silver large moth necklace with pearl slivers in it showing the phases of the moon. Black, pink and copper beaded bracelets on one side and a silver bracelet with ladybugs and mushrooms trapped in resin as the pendant on the …

Assuming this isn't more about the fact she lives somewhere she can't find another lesbian or that there's so few that there isn't anyone you're even into. Or somewhere where its actively dangerous to express that you're not straight. I dunno, I've never had a hard time dating other women. Most of the time when I've seen other gals struggle its been one of the reasons above more than anything.

What..? If you have sex with someone who gives you enthusiastic consent what do you mean they're incapable of it? I cannot follow this logic line at all.

At least for me, I've never really been a fan of being approached randomly for romantic things. Every relationship I've ever been in started with us already having been friends or through a dating app where I could already learn a good bit about them upfront. Me getting to want to know people more in the initial meeting is more about friendship, they're interesting in some way. Maybe they have a mutual friend with me, maybe they have a similar hobby or we have a similar personality or sense of h…

I don't know why people get into or stay in relationships that are constant fighting anyways. If any relationship I'm ever in turned moody like that, I talked to them about it, gave it a couple weeks and then dropped it the next time anything like that happened again. Sometimes I didn't even try talking to them, I just left.

Got such a cute outfit today and tried it out. This super fun dark black pinafore underbust dress that I paired with a lighter tone black blouse that had cute lace sleeves, a velvet dark red ribbon around the collar and embroidered bats on the collar ends too! I had these super cute stockings and grey toned creeper Docs. And then I had my hair partially up with the brown held back by a big bow with black lace bits that hung down with my blonde hair. Its a pretty small group where I live, thankfully. Most people here are normal enough to see these things happen in the wild and know they're wrong. I've had some guy at my job lately asking questions about me whenever I'm not around, including my schedule and personal details about my life and so on. Had another guy call me beautiful, follow me to a nearby fast food place, offer to pay for my food and then sit in the booth next to me so I couldn't get out until he finally fucked off and I could…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 07:21 AM

Eh. Its a crutch to me. If you need it to have purpose or a will to protect your own and have hope for tomorrow, then you don't really have any of those things. You're not truly self-actualized, you're leaning on something to do that introspection for you. You shouldn't need to have all of those things, that's not a good thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 05:24 PM

Can't you just.. work off the fat?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 04:54 PM

The game was called something like "No Mercy" I think and had a route in it where you could rape the other person. There was another one that made headlines too but I don't remember its name. Someone above mentioned the academy was a VERY large telegram group.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 04:52 PM

I always find it sad when people NEED to have God in order to be a good person or to do the right thing and go down the right path. Then those types never learn how to be good for the sake of being good. And they start weaponizing their faith against others.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 04:48 PM

I just compliment people and tease them in ways I know won't really piss them off. Works for me. My partner appreciates my compliments, especially strong ones, since my reactions are usually fairly muted.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 10:45 PM

I dunno most of the bears I know have all been pretty nice. Only a few of them started getting weird around guys they like but usually they're all pretty chill.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 07:31 PM

You can find people who come from wealthier backgrounds that don't have the money expectation that they can buy you with money or that you have to buy them with money. It is a little rare but they are out there.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 02:11 PM

I used to. I had an ex, my first girlfriend. We got torn apart by our parents because hers were horrifically homophobic. They were convinced I'd turned her gay and that I was evil. We decided to try it again once we didn't have family breathing down our necks and it STILL wasn't working out. At that point, I moved on. She still hasn't. We don't talk anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 12:41 PM

I had a friend who was falling pretty hard into this stuff and I managed to help him out of it. After that I just got interested in this stuff. Pretty early into being here I helped pull someone back into a better headspace who had gone through some pretty bad familial abuse like I had, and that convinced me to stay. Plus its fun to mess around here while I'm working.

Ehh, I'd hold someone to the same standard as I do myself. I'll start making a note of it if someone tells me its over like 10-15, and then just say no if it goes much higher. To me its a sign of someone who's a little too casual for me, or at least just doesn't run on the same wavelength as I do. Plus if you get up there in numbers you run the risk of them being addicts, or unstable, or having some sort of disease like no thanks.

As a bi woman with a lot of queer friends, I've never noticed anyone here shying away from talking about men or the issues men are more likely to face when deviating from being heterosexual. The thing is that in order to even make it to that point, men have to have already started questioning and accepting that possibly in themselves and that initial hurdle is a lot harder to cross for guys. You can think about how even as early as elementary school you'll have kids or even adults using "gay" as…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/26 04:50 PM

Sounds like a bad perspective to have on love. Your partner should be your best friend and closest confidant, and the only reason any relationships succeed that aren't like that is either a societal or cultural push to remain together, or abuse. Any really healthy long-lasting relationship will absolutely have people who are very close and want to be around one another and do things together, be best friends as much as they are lovers. The more I meshed with someone, the longer our relationship …

/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/26 12:17 AM

You haven't managed to find anyone yet? What all have you tried?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 09:17 PM

It was pretty fun, honestly. I made a lot of friends in college, got a job on campus and once the previous one stepped down I was made president of the club I was in. It was pretty good, got to avoid all the crap going on at home and enjoy being an adult a little bit earlier basically. WHEEZE. Yeah, the party I went to was also for a rich kid school I went to. I got in from a "lottery" but when the lottery clearly somehow favours students with good grades its pretty clear they just wanted people…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 07:29 PM

They put us in college full time and then we'd earn both our associates and high school diploma at the same time. So I only actually went to my home high school like twice after I started the program. Haha. I bet a bunch of them would be pretty shocked nowadays about me. Most people who haven't seen me in ages are. They usually don't even recognise me at first. Went from a tomboy wearing nothing but jeans and flannels to a full on goth woman with an actual fashion sense lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 07:21 PM

I haven't really bothered with anything like that. I was barely in my high school since I started going to college early. I've been to unofficial ones that friends hosted, that was pretty fun. Learned the "straight" gal I crushed on one year actually learned she was bi and broke out of the religious stranglehold her parents had her in. She definitely seemed interested, but other friends had told me she'd become a bit of a party type and I'm not really for all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 07:14 PM

I don't know if I'd consider what you have "amazing chemistry" if you both flare up the worst attachment habits in one another. That sounds like pretty bad chemistry, honestly. Chemistry isn't just in your sexual compatibility or stints of time together. It's a holistic overlook of your two's ability to work together as a couple in every facet, and that clearly is not good.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 04:14 PM

Ew.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 02:55 PM

Because finding out that way can be dangerous, just like finding out by accepting a car ride or by picking your first date to be somewhere way too private. Better practice to avoid it and find out through safer means. I guess it'd be like telling if an old ww2 mortar you find in a river is still active by hucking it at your feet to see if it goes off or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 01:24 PM

I'm glad its going well for you all things considered. I'd be so drained trying to keep up with that many people lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 01:04 PM

Maybe dudes here are finally going back to that goofy ahh "government mandated girlfriend" crap again lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 11:12 AM

I always preferred going splitsies. I do not trust guys to not think I "owe" them for paying for me. Also half the time my dates were with other women and usually the default there is splitsies as well haha. Never liked treating anyone I've ever dated differently based on gender so that's another reason I default to that, I suppose, lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 11:07 AM

Just because someone is smaller doesn't mean they can't still try or even still succeed. Kinda renders the point moot if all someone needs is the right situation or drugs regardless. Or that fighting off an attempted rape is really all that great either even if you do succeed at stopping it.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 06:13 PM

The what? Are we cancelling restaurants now? Huh?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 08:26 PM

Why anyone would date someone who isn't going to be their equal anyways is beyond me. If you're dating people you know it actively won't work out with then you're just being foolish.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 05:50 PM

I've never felt the need to leave anyone for lack of sex. I've always gotten what I wanted. I've left someone for wanting more than I could give, and I've left people who couldn't be patient for me to be ready for that step.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:42 PM

I know! She said, "Sorry, I'm straight." Like, can you believe the audacity?

Boots, stompers and creepers are all types of shoes that can typically have platforms. Especially in alt and goth scenes. I mean just take a gander over at Doc Martens and you'll see some of that firsthand. They're like the biggest brand for that sort of thing. Demonia Cult is a big brand too but they're a bit more focused on women, however if you don't have HUGE feet you could find stuff there too just keep in mind they don't have half sizes usually. If you're looking to get into the fashion ch…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:27 PM

And you just proved mine again. More random assumptions that I just actively stated the contrary too.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:13 PM

I ignored your question because you got the premise of what I said wrong and continue to do so with bad faith assumptions. No point in going any further. Why give ammo to someone who's already shown to twist nonsense out of something that was never even said.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:09 PM

Never said that. If you sleep with someone and regret it after, that's not rape. If someone lied to you in order to coerce sex from you, that is rape. These are not the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:03 PM

Eh. I always hope people like that live in places where that's considered rape by fraud.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:52 PM

I've always been of the opinion that if you decide to go out to eat, you should be trying a new place more often than you revisit ones you've already been. Like a 7/3 or 6/4 split of new to old. It's good to learn more about different cuisines and to find new and exciting places and dishes. Or places that might do it better than where you've been before.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:24 PM

Have you seen how often he's chatting it up with some guy on Instagram that lives around him, and how well he did before he moved back there? Gotta be desirable somehow even if it doesn't stick long-term.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:11 PM

I dunno, he seems to do pretty well for himself with guys even with him living in like one of the worst places in the world for being gay.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:06 PM

If some neighbour is creeping around my shit or just watching me, then I'm definitely not going outside to go do my bloody garbage. Document first. Then I'm calling someone big and scary over and doing what I need to do with them and my open carry at my hip. Make it real clear I won't be an easy target and document everything. Most people won't bother if they think they'll take a bullet trying to kidnap you. Way easier targets.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:03 PM

Could always go the alt guy route. Then having boots, stompers creepers or whatever with a couple inch platforms wouldn't be out of the ordinary at all. I've been friends with guys like that, they love the style. Plus you can go at it from completely different angles depending on how you like to dress and present yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 11:53 AM

If ya earn it, might as well enjoy it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 09:59 AM

This really cut velvet and lace black maxi dress with two high slits for my legs, set of black doc marten boots, my blanket collared leather jacket with burgundy inlays, my hair was slicked back so the blonde and black meshed nicely, some long gold and dark green earrings, a few necklaces of mine, my silver bracelet on one hand and my black, pink and copper beaded bracelet on the other. One hand for copper rings and the other for silver. People around where I live go crazy for when I slick back …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 05:26 AM

Hallo
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:41 AM

I mean, always good to be informed. I think its pretty important to always be upfront with traumas, issues, illnesses and just general goals and lifestyle. What's the point in dating and wasting each other's time if you're not aligned?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:31 AM

I had such a fun outfit last Saturday. I don't think it's the record for compliments I've gotten but wow did I get a lot. This one gal gave me a bracelet she made because she thought it'd fit and would look nice with me. I got some people who were just so shy complimenting me, it was cute, haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:14 AM

It'd be pretty goofy of me to not date bi people if I, myself, am bi. You can definitely satisfy bi guys though, and they're a lot more willing to let me run the show than most straight guys would ever be haha. If you don't trust someone to be tested then just ask to see the results yourself or just don't have sex with them until you're sure you can trust them.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:01 AM

I wore whatever I thought made me look nice and look a bit more classy and sweet. I don't really let other people dictate how I dress, it's up to me how I feel like presenting myself. Only time my partner ever asked me to dress a bit more on the modest side was when we visited extended family and I was already planning on doing that anyways.

Tulips are my personal favourite, they love roses. Which is great because roses aren't toxic to cats, so that's usually what I go with. Our cat doesn't eat flowers but I'd rather not just assume that it'll never happen and buy something that could make her really sick.

I usually just do my own, but it depends a lot on what you're aiming to do. A manicure and a solid colour? Acrylics? Full designs? It depends.

Remember, if someone gives you the reputation, you might as well use it. If people think you're gonna be a troublemaker anyways, sometimes its great to just stir up some trouble to make their life harder. Is it at all beneficial? Not really, but it is fun. Play into the way people perceive you if you want to, it can be helpful, and then learn how to best immediately defy expectation when you want to turn it around on someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 03:19 PM

WHEEZE. Bruh, that's so fuck ass. I can't even imagine pulling out "oh you want to learn self defence? Well what if a guy pulls his cock out (and that guy is me)? Hmm??"

Naaaah. If I got in trouble, it was definitely my fault with no way to deny or cause plausible doubt haha. Since I was a really good student with good grades and questions and played well at being kind, usually people just assumed I wasn't the problem if something happened. It meant I got away with a lot of really nasty things I definitely shouldn't have.

Ooo you know what, maybe I'll get my partner flowers again this month. Wonder where to take them to dinner.. there is a nice ice cream place we wanted to try so maybe something near there. Or the really fancy sushi place they've been telling me about.

Thanks. They're a very thoughtful person. I can't wait until we're engaged later this year. I'm planning and taking us out on a little three day vacation to a place they've been really wanting to go and they plan on proposing then.

Well if its a bunch of money on something that doesn't fit, they're just silly, they can literally just check my clothes for the right sizes in advance. I'd poke fun at them more than I would be angry with them. Why would I be mad? They were being thoughtful and I know they'd be a little down it didn't fit so doing anything other than a little teasing and then thanking them and giving them a kiss is just cruel. If it isn't in my style, I'll indulge them a bit with it but I won't really touch it …

You forget that my partner both knows how I like to dress and is also pretty fashionable and cutesy themself. They know well enough how to tell what works well on me and what colours and styles I typically enjoy wearing. Just like I know the general themes they like and colours. They usually go for either a classy femme look or more of a comfy androgynous look and they like white, cream, tan, brown, minor black (that's kinda my influence on them lol), light greys, occasionally natural green tone…

I always go and buy new clothes whenever I want a nice respite haha. Or a game I want. This next month I've got a couple dresses planned out and a pair of doc marten Mary Janes with my name on them.

Tiktok is so weird, I swear. No, I do not need videos from my ex. My partner and I were watching some over dinner and one of my ex just popped up and I just skipped past it from disinterest and was like "Oh, that was one of my exes. Wonder why tiktok even thought to send me that." And my partner was like "That was one of your exes? Oh, I was about to say she looked cute." And I just replied. "Eh. You're way cuter. I didn't read too many superhero comics growing up but my favourites were always Captain Marvel (Shazam), Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl and Superman. I guess if I had to pick a Marvel one instead while I was growing up.. hmm.. the Fantastic Four. I like Magik a lot nowadays too. Spiderman was always really fun, I think his morals, background and goofiness really just sticks well with people.

I'm 5'10, I am being a little exaggerated but they are pretty long. I have pretty high arches so I have to buy sizes that don't always fit that best for boots and sometimes they end up hurting if I don't go in and modify them. They're fine for awhile, but I'd bring backups for sure, just in case. Even if they're just flats or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 12:19 AM

Yeah!! Those are great, I love them. They're a ton of fun with the right outfit. I'd say mine don't fix exactly so they get a bit uncomfortable to wear for too long but that's just a me problem.

Oh absolutely. I just find their sweetness very cute and attention grabbing whenever they try to be playful mean or dry. That stuff is my bread and butter. If they're especially cute doing it and playing it up, it just activates every bit of my cuteness aggression lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:46 PM

Once you find someone who matches your bullshit, you're in good. I corrupted my partner and now they make the same stupidly bad jokes I do. Too bad they're too sweet sounding and expressive to pull off the same dryness, haha. It just makes it cuter.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:34 PM

Ehhh. I'm not really the type who is into having sex with someone early on. It will take awhile for me to be at that step. I just don't feel desire like that without love. If it's been long enough though, I mean, I'd honestly prefer we finish the movie first. Or at the very least pause it. I'd want all our focus to be on each other, regardless of if I'm the one running the show or they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:30 PM

You should hear about the ways she and her boss talk about some guys and the occasional comments about other comments out of her mouth about gals with figures like mine. It's outright raunchy sometimes. I feel like maybe I'm just too prudish, but work definitely doesn't feel like the right place for that sort of thing. The one off absentminded joke or something is whatever but full blown creepy discussions that just sound like sexual harassment are just weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:26 PM

I did. Never heard a thing back. This job is always a whole lot of "it has been addressed" with no further signs that anything actually happened.

I don't? The assumptions some people make are wild. I want to enjoy my own body. I worked for it. I work out, I lost weight, I did it all because I wanted to be proud of my health. Now I'm enjoying that outcome for myself. I pick the clothes I do because I like those clothes not because I want weirdos staring at me. I've even stated here before that I don't care if people glance. That's human. People look at pretty people. But there's a difference in a peek and in full on slack jaw staring. Its …

Well that particular comment was said to someone else and then that person told me about it because they thought it was fucked up. She didn't have the gall to say it to my face. She did decide to say that she stares at my boobs to my face before. Multiple times. Like, I'm sorry, what? That is not a straight thing to do, boss, and also why? Ew? Why are you even telling me you do it?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 12:33 PM

Always fun knowing my boss thinks that I "deserve" if something happens to me because of what I like to wear. It aggravates me that so many people think that that is just like an acceptable line of thought.

I mean the way you're expressing his point makes it sound a bit vindictive, not sure if that's actually how it was written. I don't really think you need that argument to make the point that everyone is entitled to talk about or not talk about anyone they've been with in the past. If guys don't feel like bringing up their ex boyfriends, go ahead. If you do want to mention that you're bi, also totally fair.

I have like the world's worst habit ever of completely losing track of time while I'm doing my hair. I'll finish, look over and realise I've been at it for like an hour. Especially since I have thick curls, so if I'm styling them it takes ages to make them cooperate perfectly.

I don't really think dating is all that bad. Sure you gotta sift around and you'll always deal with creeps or random people shooting their shot, but honestly there's a lot of diamonds out there. And if you look around long enough you'll end up finding your perfect person eventually. Most people I actually dated were pretty good folks, we just ended up being incompatible in some way.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:37 PM

I've had a couple people DM me and just start laying on sexual questions. Like, why?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:44 PM

It's funny, my mom's side of the family all are the inverse for voices. My grandma, mom and I are all pretty loud people but my uncle and grandpa were all whisper quiet and you had to make them repeat themselves constantly. My uncle is pitch quiet talking but still moves around like he's the hulk, I am pretty loud talking but I always end up sneaking up on people because my movement is so quiet lol. OH MY GOSH THOUGH some guys I know I swear they just stomp everywhere and everything around them …
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 12:33 PM

I dunno how some people do it. The basement dweller truly is an enigma. I think I'd go fucking crazy not socialising enough and going out enough. Dunno how some parents just allow it either. If I ever have children, they sure aren't getting away with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 12:27 PM

If anyone ever says they're a "vibe catcher" to me, I might need to shoot them or myself on the spot to end the interaction permanently. Wow that's a horrid profile. I don't know how it kept just getting worse the longer I looked. Goddess, couldn't be me realising that I've only ever been in one relationship where I was the older one. I don't think I've ever actively selected for that or anything, it just sorta happened. The largest age gap is like 3 years though. I don't think I'd go more than.. 4 years down and 4 years up, currently. I'd rather not date anyone who can't legally drink and I don't really wanna date someone who is 30 and likely in a different stage of life than I am, or at the least should be in another st…

Let's go team introverts, let's go. I mean you can be an introvert and be sociable. You just tire yourself out doing it and need "me time" breaks to recharge. It comes with its boons, but like anything, it's flaws you need to learn how to overcome.

Parent visiting: complete. Its always stressful dealing with family, I swear, but at least this went really well and we had a lot of fun outside of the general stress. I barely ever introduced anyone I was in a relationship with to family but it was way past due at this point. Thank the goddess I don't talk to my dad anymore. I can only wonder how he'd try sabotaging this just like he does everything.

I think it's everyone's right to know. No one should have ignorance chosen for them, especially when it'll waste their life away on someone when they could be using that time to find someone who isn't a traitor.

Honestly. In my opinion the most stable place one can be is to admit we all do need a little bit of external validation, and learning how to seek it out in healthy ways from our friends, partner, etcetera. You don't want to be a people pleaser, you don't want to be living your life constantly for others, you want self worth and internal validation but its a good thing to get some from those who matter to you too.

I can't even get words out, let alone trying to piece my thoughts together well enough to say their name. I have no idea how some people can have like dialogues. I normally trail off if I even try. I've never been with anyone who's bellowed out my name or anything. Sometimes words, but never my name or anything. Then again my name is a bit long winded so who knows.

I mean, I'm not into very masculine dudes and most trans guys tend to lean more in that direction by the end of their transition. So probably not, but not a guaranteed no. Second part, yes, I have no problem with that. I'd be pretty hypocritical if I did since I've dated trans people before. My partner is non-binary, lol. My brother is trans, I have a few trans friends since I'm involved in a handful of queer things in my area, so its not like I'm not accustomed to it being around me in my life.…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 03:42 PM

Everyone has to eventually move on with life somehow, even you. But the impact will always be there. In memories. In how they act and who they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 01:26 PM

Are we really surprised? Whenever I mention that my partner is non-binary I get huffy responses. If I mention my brother being trans I get reddit help messages.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 01:19 PM

Everyone wants to feel like they'll be grieved when they're gone. Nothing wrong with that, so long as you do hope that ultimately those you left behind will be able to find happiness in your absence.

If I lost my partner, I know I wouldn't be the same person after. I'd be rough already trying to find somewhere to live and trying to go through all our things, but trying to keep up with work on top of it and handling the funeral and everything, I'm not sure how well I'd cope. We're attached at the hip. It wouldn't be pretty. It'd be years before I'd be stable, let alone be ready to date. I can't really fathom an exact timeline but it wouldn't be quick.

Well. He is talking in fallacies. The only reason that someone would fall into that line of thought is puritan culture, and religion tends to be the basis of that. If you take out the religious reasoning then what's left doesn't really make a lot of sense. He might be stuck in that line of thought for life, he might figure it out as he gets older, but you never know. Some people never get past what they were taught as a child.

Its pretty normal in healthy relationships that the two parties will mess with each other a little. I like to pick up my partner because they get sheepish about it and flail around a little and I think it's cute. My partner likes to put their freezing cold feet and hands on me to make me jump in the air, or blow the hair dryer at me to mess with my hair lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 02:40 PM

I don't even know what that is meant to convey lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 03:39 AM

Fine in my opinion so long as the person giving the compliment isn't being freaky about it. Or doesn't have a reputation for being freaky already. Just like a simple "Oh, I like your shoes." Ought to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 03:33 AM

I just let people offer it up. I treat it the same way as people voicing the things they want. I might ask clarifying questions after, and I'll offer up what I'm comfortable with, but I let them say what they want and don't want freely.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 10:04 PM
3

I remember having something in my bio when I used dating apps that was like.. "Monogamous. Only looking for something long-term." With how I dress a lot of people tend to assume I'm going to be casual. Or I'd get a lot of people liking whose profiles indicated that's what they wanted so I figured putting that on would stop at least some of them. Worked okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 07:50 PM
3

I've never asked anyone their history before. Some people offer it up, some people make it obvious with self doubt and awkwardness. But you can just not talk about it and most of the time, it just won't really matter. If someone likes you, they'll assume what they want to assume about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 06:27 PM

Mhm. I mean, it's only my mom, so it's not THAT crazy. I'm going to have to be on watch duty though. My mom's always been a little bit off about the types I date.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 01:32 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 04:54 PM

Sounds like a bad idea tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 04:51 PM

Ehhhh. I can agree with some aspects of the sentiment. Never feel entitled to someone, never think its just a given that someone will be with you forever, put in the same effort you did when you first fell in love, yada yada. But I hate the phrasing. I am my partner's. They're mine. They're still their own first and foremost but when it comes to love I've laid my claim and vice versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 03:44 PM

My father was kinda obsessive with me so.. I'm not sure, really. He let my brother run loose and I got the eyes of a hawk on my back. I think there's a pretty decent spread of different kinds of dads. My partner's sister is and was very well loved by their dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 03:56 AM

If you want to actually be taken seriously and respected in most lines of work as a woman your options get pretty limited too, so don't worry.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 02:12 AM

I love all the fashion choices out there, its so great. Guys do have options though, I mean you could very much pick to go for different types of looks. Biker, alt or goth have lots of looks, gym rat or athletic, dude bro, suit and tie, lumberjack, millennial hipster, lots of different looks you can shoot for.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:51 AM

Could be like an ex of mine where the family just doesn't even do anything about it. She has two older brothers, all raised on a farm, and she just got their hand-me-downs growing up. World's biggest tomboy in terms of fashion sense haha. I dunno how that whole family grew like weeds. Everyone had muscle and a strong frame and all of them were over 6'0 tall, her included.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:43 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 12:54 AM

That's even funnier. It's wild when I hear about people throwing out questionnaires like.. they could just ask them normally? Like in conversation? You'd probably learn more that way anyways because the person would be more relaxed and more prone to over sharing details.

That's literally just not what the word means. You can say you want it to mean that or that it should mean that, but is literally not what it means. Your type is what you're into. It says nothing about how successful you are in actually getting that. You could get the biggest dating failure and still love tall, fit tomboys with short messy hair. That's still your type. What you want versus what you get. You want it, your type. You get it, your experiences. You don't want, not your type. You don'…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 05:15 PM

WHEEEZEE but they're so cute!! I love cute kitties. Ours is such a little shit and I adore her. If you have stuff on a table, she'll ignore it entirely but if the table is empty that MUST mean its her new perch.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 05:11 PM

They're non-binary.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 05:10 PM

My partner would cave SO FAST. Like a day. First picture. Maybe second.

I mean your type is who you like and the traits you like. That's just what the word means. Doesn't mean you'll actually get that, you're right that no one is entitled to what they want and you actually have to be worth what you're asking for, but that doesn't stop something from being your type even if you can't attain it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 04:31 PM

I did say I love fashion. It's fun to talk about.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 04:30 AM

Too bad I like my anonymity too much haha
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 12:02 AM

Lol literally. It's annoying sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 12:01 AM

I have such a fun outfit today. I've got my hair up in pigtails so the blonde and black mix and these super cute long earrings that are a mix of stars with swords dangling under them. I've got this super cute bralette that's solid black with fishnet leading up to a turtleneck, a cute silver pentacle necklace and a silver spider one with obsidian at its centre. Dark grey denim short shorts that look like a skirt with zipper pockets, black docs, and a long collared leather jacket.

Bruuuhh and here I thought guys wanted their pals to be more positive and supportive too. Be the love songs and positive reinforcement your homies need in this world

Someone doesn't know how to dress for the lesbian gaze instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 12:43 PM

You know the cost of maintaining that hair sure isn't cheap. Or the clothes. I'm already at like the edge where lots of clothes are just slightly too short, she'd have to buy specialized sizes for everything.

Does he have mashed yams and potatoes?? And uh.. some sort of breaded thing.

What's up everyone! It's Slut Sunday, make sure to disgrace the gods with your outfit today.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 11:25 AM

It's peaceful. It puts life and the universe into a nice perspective. It isn't hateful. I wish I could practice more but I just don't have a room for an altar right now.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 04:30 AM

He used to beat me for folding clothes wrong and threw me down the stairs, threatened me with houselessness, screamed and berated me unless I was perfect, tried destroying any close friendships and relationships I had, and actively treated me like some wife to abuse and started dating people my age as soon as I escaped and moved out.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 04:26 AM

My father is a piece of shit so he gets to rot alone. Otherwise with the in-laws, I prefer peace at home without spontaneous company.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 04:19 AM

I'm a subsect of wiccan so "goddess" is an analogue to "universe" in a way. The goddess is everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 04:16 AM

That's why you just have pretty of all three and then you can show off all of the above.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 03:59 AM

Thank the goddess I do not speak to my dad and my father-in-law lives two thousand miles away. I think I'd pull out my hair if parental figures good or bad just kept showing up at random to my house.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 03:58 AM

I cannot count on my hands how often this has happened and other gals will just get completely glossed over in the same clothes as me while I get told to cover up because of my chest and hips like what the hell 😭
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 10:10 PM

Awww I think its pretty. Some gals pull off the cutest bobs and pixies I've ever seen. I have an ex who had one that was SO cute.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 10:06 PM

I dated three people all with the same name back to back and I have like ZERO recollection of which was which and in what order I dated them anymore lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 04:29 PM

What, fr?? I swear some dudes have to have terrible taste to not think it's cool. Dudes' tastes will never cease to amaze me in the strangest of ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 02:23 PM

Oh I know just the style, that one is one of the best. I love people who do like two tone jellyfish cuts. Those are SO cute. I am like a moth to a flame every time I ever see anyone with that lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 02:13 PM

Lol my pattern recognition is terrible. Whoops. Did you do like a natural tone red or something more stand out? I always love talking what people do with their hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 02:05 PM

Pink is such a fun colour! It always looks so good once the natural tone comes in under it too. I do mine with the bottom layers light blonde and the upper layers black. It's so fun. Dyeing your hair is such a fun way to express yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:58 PM

He is entitled to bad taste, I suppose, lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:55 PM

If he looks like that we wouldn't have been on a date to begin with haha. Not my type. Assuming this is a blind date, the dickpiller thing will just make it even worse lol.

House smell? Goddess, I hope their houses didn't smell like that. That sounds awful day to day.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 03:19 PM

I thought they were pretty decent. I was popular on tinder and on HER. Sure you had to run some filtering but it took like less than a minute to figure out if someone was worth your time or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 02:40 PM
2

I've definitely gone on a couple dates where the person just.. smelled a bit off. Like, maybe I just didn't like whatever conditioner they used or deodorant or it was au naturel, but either way I just wasn't a fan and that was that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 02:33 PM

I honestly felt like I was trying to read some sort of hieroglyphics with how little sense this thing made to me lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 01:02 PM

There's so many random words and weird sentiments that it feels like satire
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 12:54 PM

Both. I do a lot to make myself happy, but its undeniable that my partner also lights up my day in ways I couldn't do for myself. Having lots of friends to occupy the time does help though.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 11:27 PM

They're thoughtful and always seem to notice how I'm feeling before I even do, they always give up the last of snacks for me if I ask for them, they're very funny and they take on the same sense of humour as me and all the dumb shit we do, if they ever make mistakes then they're quick to take ownership and apologise and they actually do better in the future. They do a lot for me, and if I'm ever in need they'll be there at the drop of a hat to help me. They listen to me, they remember everything…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:49 PM

Up and down the west coast! My partner has never actually been all the way to the pacific before and I wanna show them all my favourite stops like they did for me when they took me out east.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 03:57 AM

I've always really liked to give my partner experiences and things to brighten their day and show how much I care and listen. I love to see the smile on their face. It just brings me a kind of tranquility I never thought I'd have. They cried the first time I got them flowers and a little plushy just out of the blue, they kept asking why and just seemed so touched when I said just because I wanted to. They were so excited when I planned a fancy date for them just for fun, bought them an outfit, w…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:07 AM

And here I thought everyone but sticks in the mud liked a nice bikini
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 08:50 PM

I mean, some things don't always carry the same meaning to everyone anyways. I like the act of taking on your partner's name if you're doing it for the right reasons. I hate my father and I hate his family. I'm more than happy to no longer be part of it and wiping away the last traces of it in exchange for my partner's thoughtful, kind and loving family's name. It's just a symbol that I'm happy to be part of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 07:15 PM

I think the orange one is a small brand they got on a vacation. The other one is called Sakura Snow. I love that one. Its my favourite of theirs, I always wear it whenever they're away on trips.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 05:24 PM

Lolol. I only own like two of my own, and if I want anything else I usually steal my partners' since they have a bunch of nice ones. They have this orange one that's so nice and a cherry blossom one that's refreshing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 05:11 PM

Goddess I'm so bad about this. I have like.. 40 dresses. I always end up spending money on clothes lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:30 PM

Choice one has absolutely ruined any chance you're going to get any women on that app. I know I'm way more willing to jump the fence first than other gals, but like.. that just sounds awful even if you generally are more often passive. I like reaching out to people and I like having some control and some means of influencing things more directly and expressing my own interest. This would just kill me ever going to this app when the competition is still far better. Ignoring weirdos on dating apps…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:04 PM

Mmmm. I do love me a guy who is a feminist and appreciates fighting for women's and men's rights and shows it every day by dressing like a little cutie. Sounds pretty high value to me. Well minus the boyfriend beating thing and the poly thing, those aren't my kinda rhythm.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 01:42 PM

16, in college I worked on campus because it paid nice and it was easy to get to. It was a peaceful job most of the time. Especially during the summer.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 07:41 PM
2

I.. dunno why you thought I was being defensive? I guess I could have denoted tone better, lol, whoops. I just thought it was weird to try and point at it like it's rare for women to have kinks too so I was countering that. Like, its the people you engage with, no? That's all the point I was trying to make. I feel like we're both reading a bit too much into each other here if that's what was gathered from what I wrote.

Seconding Vietnam. Such a gorgeous place.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 01:56 PM

I think we're pointlessly gendering things and then trying to retroactively come up with a reason for it since you don't really have any. Its DEFINITELY not just a guy thing. I'm into a handful of things, I have a couple exes and they both REALLY had some things they were into.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 01:28 PM
1

Ehh. If you don't know the guy well, or know them well enough to know it is insecurity.but I know my partner well enough to know it's them being protective and laying their claim so to speak is just a side benefit. I think people just assume the worst sometimes but unless your partner proves they deserve it, you should listen to their own reasoning.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 12:48 PM
2

I haven't seen my partner get so protective in a while like they did today. We were standing in line at a grocery store and a guy in the next line over kept looking over at me and staring while he checked me out and my partner just so quickly and gently pulled me around their other side and put an arm around me. Normally they don't act that much. Maybe it was because I was wearing something particularly revealing today. Whatever. In retrospect, it was pretty hot. Cute and ferocious.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 05:37 AM

Ewww. Unless you actively know you're just not interested in that sort of thing. Doesn't work for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 04:15 PM

Fair enough. Though if I've met enough divorced people in my life it definitely doesn't need to end with a lifetime of misery or jadedness after the fact. There's always someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 03:07 PM

Yeah, haha, I'm 25 now. I guess I was always a little ahead of folks, I graduated high school at 16 and got my associates at 18 but I haven't been able to afford college since. Just waiting for my partner to pass the bar exam and get a job and then I'm going back to school.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 02:51 PM

I dunno how folks have such a big problem with this sort of thing. I've found plenty of pretty people with good mindsets about love. Maybe I'm just lucky or particularly privileged but I feel like you can pretty easily filter these types out?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 02:29 PM

The realest statement I've ever heard
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 01:11 PM

Damn. Might as well have taken his girlfriend out on a date yourself, probably would have been more fun for her than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 12:48 PM
8

I don't think I've ever heard that complaint before. I've heard that some people can be boring but that's got nothing really to do with that, its more just that their messages are disinteresting and you just aren't really much of a match interest or personality wise. Or the particular person just doesn't like the typical dates people come up with and wants someone who suggests something unique. As for the later unrelated thing you mentioned, I mean a lot of us have dealt with a guy saying they'v…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 12:01 PM

Lolol, no I don't work at a hot topic or anything like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 02:49 AM

Depends on if they did it in the same sweet way and where they're looking. The devil is in the details and all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 02:49 AM

One gal was so sheepish. She was staring at me for like five minutes before she came over and in the most shy and wispy voice she was just like "you're really beautiful". It was very sweet, haha. Her hair was really cool, I love that blonde look with pink ends.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 01:58 AM

Good goddess, working overtime sucks. I hate pulling 12 hour shifts. Oh well. Brightside is I've gotten SO many compliments today haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 01:56 AM

I think I'd rather gut myself like a fish than accept someone hitting me with an open relationship suggestion. Yucky.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 10:01 PM

The universe is such a beautiful thing. It's so exciting we ended up here, and so lifting to know we have so much more to reach out to and learn, and its peaceful finding your own place within it that makes you happy. Life gives no goals of its own for humanity, we must learn them for ourselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 05:58 PM

I wouldn't know about a particular area, haha. Around here folks tend to like all kinds of people. I prefer someone engaging, but tends to give me the reins to the conversation. A good handful of my guy friends are more of the quiet and thoughtful or just the bubbly and goofy. Both do great around here.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 05:50 PM

Yeah if anyone ever brought up their exes on the first date, I'd probably consider that a road not worth travelling lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 04:36 PM

Everyone is different. Some people like a chatty kathy who builds off their bubbliness, some people like a quiet listener or a teaser who follows along but doesn't always make the most obvious, some like types who will lead and run the conversation, some people just like being the listener themselves. That's why its better to be yourself for that sort of thing rather than trying to play a part. You'll never know if the person you're talking to even likes the part to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 04:35 PM

You're talking to one, lolol. I'm not a fan of a guy who can go five rounds in a ring or anything either. I think it's important people at least learn basic self defence but I don't need a guy who can beef with a black belt or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 12:57 PM

Bruh don't ask the question if you ain't gonna listen to the answer
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 12:35 PM

I mean, yeah. There are. I've known gals who don't get much, I've known gals who don't get anything, I've known gals who only get things they don't want. The whole spectrum is out there. Same with men. Plenty of dudes do okay, some do great, some do poorly, some only do good in things they don't really want, so on and so forth.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 12:23 PM

Get you a gal who likes to do the protecting

I think it's pretty obvious I'm pretty far from a conservative. I'm always going to poke fun at xenophobes, homophobes, misogynists, racists and dogmatic fundamentalists in just the same way I'm gonna make fun of misandrists, mega hippies, and victim olympians. You're gonna be hard pressed finding a bi woman who is going to agree with half the takes people make fun of in that sub. And I'd be concerned if you weren't also weirded out by the Pragmata stuff and all the dudes calling it "cunny" or w…

Lol that was me a few years back when I decided one day I just didn't want to dress like a tomboy anymore and got a whole new wardrobe
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 05:57 PM

Hahah. Yeah between the tall goth woman with a monotone voice and on command angry face and the golden retriever for a human being that is my partner, it's easy to tell which one of us is the scarier looking lol. Also my several years of martial arts training and learning how to puff out my chest help too lol. Hahaha. Brigid is indeed prettier than she gives herself credit for! And thank you for the indirect compliment.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 04:03 PM

I'm more intimidating than my partner is lolol. I don't trust people to not mess with us and the city proper is notorious for meth addled, fent sniffing psychopaths. In the day they'll usually leave you alone, but that guarantee kinda goes out the window once it's dark. Haha. There's a couple of us here. Not sure if the actual professional model is still around. I've been asked to do a couple small gigs here or there but I'm more of a goth fashion person just as a hobby.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:46 PM

REAL
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:24 PM

I got this really cute mesh top and these jeans with scorpions embroidered on the pockets. I can't wait to try them out this weekend. Maybe my partner and I can go out and get a nice dinner or something on the safe side of town. Don't trust wearing something like that in the city proper.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:19 PM

Damn what she's barely five feet and she's making fun of short people. SHE'S SHORT lol. Not that making fun of her back is going to solve anything really but stones in glass houses and all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:10 PM

I don't think I've ever seen any friends of mine short or tall start bickering over the heights of the guys that each other is dating lol. That sounds like some weird subgroup or regional mentality.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:08 PM

I feel like every human is like biologically programmed to be into that haha. Just some people don't like to admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 03:06 PM

Laaaame! Everyone whines about it until they get picked up and carried away by someone they're into and suddenly all the reservations and huffiness are gone!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 02:09 PM

WHEEEZEEE. But its so cute when you can scoop them up and carry them around!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 01:35 PM

Some guys definitely don't like being the shorter one, especially because other guys and gals tend to tease over it. I've had some people be self conscious over it when I was the taller one, others liked it a lot lol.

I definitely saw some flakiness myself too. I wouldn't say it was ubiquitous or even THAT common honestly, if you picked your matches right it was rare that people would be flaky with initial conversation or times for the first date. More common than any other way I've met people though.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 12:46 PM

I like the second outfit. Its more flattering on him.

My best is obviously my partner. I've never met anyone sweeter, funnier, prettier, more thoughtful. Honestly I just can't imagine my life without them and everyone around us is always rooting for us. Most people have.. more than one thing to do in a day. You don't always get lucky to have a full free day available, and letting the other party know when you'll have time and actively working to carve out what you can for them is all good stuff. Seemed like good communication to me. It'd have worked in her favour with me haha.

Sex sells. Tons of people are swayed into seeing movies because of the sex in them or the sexual themes in them. Fifty Shades is evidence enough of that. Game of Thrones too. Rape scenes are the ones I always have a hard time with. I can't imagine being able to handle acting that out and committing it to video, editing it, finalizing it, screen testing it, just.. Ew.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/26 04:49 PM

What about Erik?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/26 04:46 PM

My partner is so cute, haha. When I tried to get out of bed they curled into me, laid their head on my lap and wrapped their arms around my leg so I wouldn't move. I had to bargain with them and agree to another thirty minutes before they'd let me get up.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:09 PM

Thanks, haha! Yeah I've always figured I might as well use every wheel in the wheelhouse if I'm interested in someone. No reason to play the passive game most of the time, life's not long enough to tip toe around things unless I really think it's the best avenue. A lot of people don't mind a friendly chat but you've usually gotta fish around a little if you're trying to hit on someone in a place you frequent as well. Don't want to make it uncomfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 01:58 PM

In college when I'd take the bus to my classes I used to ride at the same time as this other gal that I thought was really cute. I shifted over seats to talk to her once when I noticed her without earbuds in and sketching the inside of the bus. Took two times talking for me to finally fish out of her that she was gay.. but taken. Lol, by then though we already were already pretty interested in being friends. We ended up talking all the way up until I graduated. Like the most passive I've ever be…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 01:40 PM

Like.. he went to the doctor's originally but now he's starting to have headaches and all his doctor told him is that's normal? Sounds more like a bad doctor in that scenario. I'd advocate for him to see a second person at an urgent care, and if the headaches get worse or if he gets disoriented or starts feeling confused to immediately go to an ER.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 01:22 PM
6

Lol my boss was trying to hide from someone today and hung out next to me to talk while he did it and I just had to turn to him like "you know I'm like one of the most easily recognisable and stand out people in this building, right?" He just laughed about it and said "yeah, doesn't help, does it?" He just wanted to talk to me about the laptop he bought that bad haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:21 AM

I'd just assume we don't jive much and try to be friendly and civil but otherwise focus elsewhere. Not everyone needs to be my best friend or anything, I'm not going to be offended to stir up trouble or anything if that's what you're thinking about with this post.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:03 PM

I'm glad to be back in action! Mostly, anyways, still really hard to be too active / up and down. But I'm making good food again and that's nice. I did venison burgers recently and today I'm doing a breaded mac and cheese bake.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 04:31 AM

Unrest and anxiety from sitting around home too long recovering from this concussion. I just want to get back into my workouts goddamnit. Also I hate feeling stagnant. It gives me too much time to self loathe and drudge up the stuff I usually have learned to ignore. Plus side, I've also felt very happy and attended to by my partner while I've been recovering. They've done a really good job taking care of me. It's nice to feel loved.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 04:25 AM

Definitely subjective. My type certainly renders that point moot pretty fast lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 03:17 AM

Sous vides are SPECTACULAR. I have one too. For those who don't know, you vacuum seal the steaks, boil them in the sous vide at the exact perfect temperature to get them as rare as you want, and it is designed to never go over that temperature, and then you can quickly sear them on a grill or pan and voilà! Perfect steaks every time.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 11:51 PM

One thing is true: bad takes will be bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 10:25 PM

I mean. I understand having a preference for partners having specific traits or enjoying someone who does or doesn't do specific things. I'd be the opposite of her. I like to be the one who cooks, I don't mind my partner being a little sous chef, but I mostly just like to be the one handling the kitchen and making our meals. It makes me happy being able to have that role. So I pick people who don't really cook much. Just like I hate bugs and I can't handle them, so I pick someone who can take ca…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 10:04 PM

True. Where I'm at now, I'd have never gotten this far without all the lessons I learned and people who came and went from my life. I'm grateful for where I am now and who I am now. Ugh. Doesn't make me feel any better about how awful I used to be back then. Nothing makes me feel grosser than remembering I used to act like my dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 09:55 PM

I just read a story with a character that reminded me of how I used to be back in middle school / high school and bleugh good goddess I'm glad I'm not like that anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 09:11 PM

Just follow the stuff you like, the algorithm will do the rest. On almost all my stuff online I just get gaming things, fashion, romance comics. I get some stuff but its only really every so often. Just search up a few things you want to see and you'll start to see a lot more the more you engage with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 09:06 PM

I remember a group project I had to do in one of my bio courses in college, and it drove me up a wall how obvious it became that I was the only one among us that had actually paid attention at all in our labs.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 02:00 PM

You'd be surprised. I've definitely been called out for it before for takes like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 01:32 PM

REAAAALL. It's so hard for me to keep my hands off my partner, I swear. Soft skin, squishy face, nice butt, cute hair, goddess what am I supposed to do but get handsy? I've definitely been told off for going a little hard on the PDA before lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 01:31 PM

At the risk of sounding like a pick me to some, I think it's horse shit how little actual empathy and support people really have for male victims of sexual assault. It's not fun, no one's "lucky". You can get therapy, you can have years go by, but you'll never be exactly the same again. Some part of you will die. And then imagine that no one even bothers taking you seriously? The insult.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 01:19 PM

I swear my partner has the softest, smoothest skin I've ever seen in my life. It's so good, so nice to touch and cuddle into. I can't keep my hands off my partner because of it lolol. There's no way guys don't cherish that as much as I do, right? You'd be crazy to not like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 01:14 PM
2

Not just the mouth. You'll crave plenty more too. Definitely true.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 05:40 AM
2

I'm more of a 1 enjoyer honestly. I like em soft and boney lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 04:15 AM

I'm bi with a preference for women and feminine guys. I've only ever dated like one guy that looked like a dude lol and I was not into it. And he'll even if I want the target of someone's ire, my brother definitely was. And I'm not gonna just fence sit. He stood up for me plenty and I wouldn't ever leave him out to dry.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 03:28 AM

What can you expect? Most people only love their idea of you, not actually you. Family is no different. And when you're different, you can expect to really see that in full. Most out of the closet folks are like me and my brother. We don't really get to have much family. We have to make our own.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 03:08 AM

See that's what I was thinking. Maybe my brother would be willing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 02:56 AM

No, most of them decided that we shouldn't be family anymore after my brother and I both came out. The couple that didn't have problems I either lost contact with or I'm just not close to.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 02:55 AM

Ehh not really. Any that I did have were all not really the greatest people and I'd rather just not have there at all. Or they've already passed. Maybe my brother, if he's interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 02:54 AM

Given that I don't talk to my dad, I wonder who I should have walk me down the aisle. I know I'm a ways off of being able to afford a wedding, but I know I'll be engaged soon, and its had me thinking about it. Maybe my best friend? Or my mom? I don't know.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 02:40 AM

I've definitely been friends with very nerdy video game dudes who looked like that haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 02:32 AM
1

What do you call those like delusional imaginary friend things. Tulpas? Just gotta get yourself one of those.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 10:09 PM

My brother is trans. He's been out since he was 13. He told me bits and pieces about it before even then. My favourite part about reading stuff like this is how often people forget about most actual FtM dudes and what monkey's paw they're actually asking for when they demand people use the sex they are to pick things like bathrooms rather than what they come across as. He looks like a fucking lumberjack type, muscular, hairy, brawny. I mean the minute he goes somewhere that forces him into a wom…

22lbs is enough that I doubt my partner would end up being the first person to mention it. I've always been pretty tight with myself on my weight since I gained and lost some during COVID. If my partner was going to bring it up to me, I imagine the way they'd do it is just asking about my diet since I would have started eating differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 09:29 PM
2

I love cooking so much. Its one of the best practical skills one could have. I use it as an expression of love, because it makes me happy seeing my partner enjoy my food.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 03:48 PM
2

Second this. It's a really bad idea to get back together with someone. If it failed once, its incredibly likely to fail again, even if the original circumstances for the failure are now gone.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 03:45 PM
2

Why would he say that though, oof-- I've had people at work before just assume something is wrong with me when I say I want to adopt in the future instead or try to convince me otherwise, its weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 03:39 PM

Being a cannibal or a pedophile hurts others. Being poly doesn't. I mean nuclear families can certainly hurt some people when the patriarch of the family is an abusive cunt but people still push for it regardless or push for you to continue talking to your parent if you ghosted them for it. It's more like comparing judging someone for being poly is like judging someone for being a man or being black. Are we really gonna agree with the same logic that some people use to say "all men bad".
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 01:40 PM

Not really all that morally superior to judge and belittle everyone around you for being different lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 01:34 PM

World's judgiest man. Good goddess.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 01:31 PM

You'd be astounded how much abuse some people can take before they cave entirely. I'm not surprised she is both skeptical of and entirely dependent on other people though if that's the case. My father both tried making me his emotional labour tool and abused me verbally and violently whenever he didn't get his way. I lasted a whole 20 years under him before I finally went "I have to get out or I'm going to kill myself". It's gonna be a real uphill battle for the rest of your lives, but if your f…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 01:16 PM

I've got some poly friends, and all the power to them, but I just can't fathom it haha. The idea of sharing my partner makes me sick to my stomach. Let alone just dating more than one person at a time. I'm really surprised to learn there's a bunch of poly folks here though.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 01:03 PM

That sounds like more than just depression and anxiety, haha. That sounds like full on paranoia as well, maybe a developmental disorder to boot. It definitely sounds like more than what she's got already on her plate. I mean I'm not psych but it does sound like more.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:47 PM

I guess it'll be more practical in other tools, and maybe it'll be easier some ways in the future for home construction and design if you don't have to wire up the house but we're talking likely hundreds of years from now. And mobility, if you're using them on the go, but that'd require whole regions to be reliably powered wirelessly and that's also a whole lot of infrastructure that'd need to happen on top of the actual science and engineering we'd need to do first. We still don't even reliably…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:29 PM

Not really my thing. You lost me at the beard. Well and 30 years old. Style is fine, so long as that's not the only style they ever do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:18 PM

That's literally so useless-- what am I doing that would require this? Do I need to blend it and just randomly move it around on the counter at the same time? Maybe you could argue it saves you two seconds of convenience for swapping the cords out if you don't have a dedicated plug in for it or empty plug available. But that's so not worth it lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:16 PM

The unfortunate thing about people who need meds is they either have to want to get better and use them, or have to be so off their rocker that they're committed and someone makes them use them. Ugh but I've seen some messed up stuff before from people who go off medications or very much needed them but never got them. What conditions does she have?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:12 PM

Oh. Damn. Oh well then, guess it isn't as exciting then. I'll still look out of curiosity now that I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:09 PM

Waaait you have a girlfriend and a husband? I did not expect to see a poly person here. I'm gonna have to pay more attention to your opinions on things here out of curiosity for the perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 06:06 AM

Someone doesn't need to not be pretty to be nice, haha. I've always dated very kind and very pretty types. I mean maybe the bi part has something to do with it since the type I like look like women. I moreso made friends into the same type as me because we liked the same thing more than I suddenly liked the same things because they liked them. This whole thing is riddled with assumptions hell, good goddess, I'm slow with sexual things out of comfort not because of someone's "pretty level". It's …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 06:05 AM

I swear some people just have the worst taste if that's all they ever manage to grab from a boyfriend. You can get some really stupid partners, but if ALL of them are like that you either live somewhere shitty or you suck at picking lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 05:17 AM

Pretty much on the money, at least for me. I don't care how much someone makes and outside of specific things I don't care too much what their career is so long as they have something and some ambition to do something with their life. Doesn't need to be something that makes a lot of money, just something with some passion behind it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 12:13 AM

Skill issue. I dunno, my partner is the best I've ever had. They're all the right sorts of match up for me lol and I get them for a lifetime.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/26 05:56 PM

Real answer: both are good, I have no idea why so many people are so concerned with "us versus them" on everything all the time, as if life and history haven't all shown us that that kind of thought rarely ever helps. Fake answer: Men are only good when they're being pegged.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/26 04:06 PM

I don't think I've.. ever actually dated anyone that I wouldn't have also picked on a dating app. Maybe this question just isn't really for me but I guess it's possible anyone I dated I wouldn't have picked if their profile sucked butt at expressing who they are as a person and didn't show off the same flattering elements to their personality and looks that I saw in them in person.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/26 03:51 AM

If it's that bad you probably wanna tell an actual trained therapist. And at that, one that actually works well for you. I've had bad therapists before, sometimes you've gotta vet them a bit
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/26 12:08 AM

I think if my partner did something like that I would just give the most dead pan ass stare lolol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/26 04:30 PM

Bruhhh
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 11:44 PM

Fallout 3 and 4 are my Bethesda babies haha. I love those games. I'd never be able to pick out a singularly favourite game though. Too many I like too much. Dead Space, Signalis, Control, Dishonored 1-2, Deathloop, ODST, Stellaris, Silent Hill 3,Va-11 Hall-A, Indiana Jones, Parasite Eve, Fatal Frame, Fear, Doom 3. The list goes on. Haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 11:41 PM

Hating your dad isn't inherently what makes up daddy issues. It's like, the most likely cause of the symptoms, but not really a symptom itself. I mean a lot of people get into kinky shit because of childhood traumas, or get really disrespectful and unstable around authority, or shrink into themselves a lot under duress. It all depends honestly. Or that dumbass who thinks being gay is somehow caused by having a bad parental figure lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 11:31 PM

Not yet. The neurologist I was referred to is waiting word from my insurance. I guess they'll do it then? I'm really not sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 06:23 PM

Thank you. It's been giving me the worst nightmares lately. I can barely sleep for more than a few hours at a time now. Bleh.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 06:02 PM

I'm finding myself wondering just what made me faint when I got my concussion. It's completely demolished my equilibrium whenever I'm active and I get so sick now when I'm out and about. I really hope this isn't permanent.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 05:51 PM

One of my favourite old shows is a pretty campy one from the 90s called Renegade. Or if you want something that's genuinely good, Columbo is probably the best mystery show ever written. It really catches its stride in episode 3 and maintains it all the way through all the episodes it released in the 70s.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 11:41 PM

I've always really preferred practical effects and cheesiness. That's why I love older 70s-80s action movies and horror. Its always a spectacle and the effort from the practical effects and illusions are always so fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 11:23 PM

I have a handful of movies like that. Usually old action and horror films haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 11:17 PM

For 300 dollars? Goddess, no. I can buy full dresses that are much nicer at like half that price
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 10:57 PM

I mean its been getting progressively harder time after time, at this point "up by your boot straps" doesn't really work anymore. Most people will never afford a home, most will never be able to afford college or a trade, the job market is recession levels of bad, homelessness is huge now, it's only getting worse and worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 10:54 PM

I mean I can't imagine I'd be much different than I already am. Only thing that changes is I get five inches shorter. As it currently stands, I'm 5'10 and I prefer men and women around 5'8-6'0, I imagine that number would just dip with my height to more like 5'4-5'6ish since I like being a similar height to who I date. Otherwise all my asks would probably be the same, honestly. I like more feminine people in terms of appearance and style. I like committed and kindhearted folks with a passion for…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 09:56 PM

I'm just going to make sure my future kid participates in some kind of extracurricular. I don't care if it's sports, just something. I made a lot of friends through clubs I was in, even got to run one in college, it's always worth it to do something enriching.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 07:11 PM

That's WAAAY too much for me then haha
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 06:27 PM

It literally is! That's like normal work out gains lolol. There's literally abs and big ass pecs. Just not my thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 06:13 PM

Awwee, thank you. That means a lot. I went through abuse as a kid, I know what that pain is like, and I know I was real lucky that I always at least had a shoulder to cry on. No one should have to face that alone, and I'm grateful that I've built up the reputation with my friends that they always feel like they can come to me when they need help. I'm glad whenever I can help people here too. It's nice knowing I made someone's day better in the same way people made mine better when I was younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 05:51 PM

Ugh. Also fair and true. I've had guy friends go through abuse and I wish they had had more people in their camp trying to help them like I did.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 05:38 PM

A little too muscular.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 05:28 PM

Both genders have a lot of double standards pushed onto them. Couples examples for both are like.. Women: Expected to give out early in a relationship but called a whore if she had given out to anyone else, whereas guys are seen as conquerors. Or expected to be the gentler gender and called hysterical whenever discussing points whereas guys are seen as innately logical unless proven otherwise. Or you might think like if a guy is bad at games, most men will think he's just bad, but if a woman is …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 05:26 PM

Weird. Almost all the guys I know and all the guys my partner has known since long before me are all pretty happy. And the ones that aren't in happy relationships are either single, casual, or have actively expressed why they aren't happy and shared it with one of us. It's half the reason why I've helped some of my guy friends with dating before, or splitting off from bad relationships that were hurting them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 05:13 PM

My mom is identical to me with our sleep schedules so it's pretty obvious where I get it from, lolol. It drives everyone I've ever dated crazy that I'm always up so early. When I first met my partner, they'd be up at like 11am when they had stuff to do and like noon if they didn't. Nowadays they're up at like 8am. I've slowly moved them in my direction mwahahahahah. 10am is late to me. By then I've already been up for six hours. I think last time I was up that late was.. hmmmm.. I think it's whe…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 01:15 PM

Around 9-9:30, usually, haha. Sometimes I'm up later but then I tend to wake up more around 5-5:30 if that's the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 01:06 PM

I am forever reminded that me waking up naturally at like 4am is not normal for most people lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 01:04 PM
1

Seems fair to me. I dunno, I only just turned 25 and I was raised being taught it wasn't wise to trust people who immediately just start giving you things. They always want something. See who someone is as a person before they start trying to make you owe them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 02:59 AM
4

Oof. That's a rough one, goddess even I would have swiped her away after the first sentence and I'm not even the target audience getting bashed. I'd almost expect that out of an immature 20 year old, not someone who is literally 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 11:51 PM
5

Some people have the weirdest advice. You come across dudes like this, sure, but you don't need some roster or something. Just dump them and move on if someone gets pushy with your boundaries, it's a sign of worse things to come.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:30 PM
3

But they're always so pretty whenever they do pull it off well swooooon
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:27 PM

I mean I said up above what some of them are. And how I ramp it up as time goes on.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:03 PM

Ahhh so at the very least homoromantic, that's for sure. Nicotine can definitely cause that. Are there any other substances you use or medicines you take? It depends on the body but those can have a big influence
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:00 PM

I mean.. if you couldn't get into it you might not be into him, into guys in general, or you just have too many negative thoughts and feelings swimming around in there for you to get into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 06:36 AM

Oh that's a cute outfit, I have one like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 06:32 AM

Rudeness, no, not really. I've never had anyone think that before. But certainly it can be very forward and not everyone is into that. But if that's the case, they should have taken initiative when I was playing signals rather than waiting for me to ramp it up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 05:29 AM

I've always been pretty blunt. Usually I start with just feelers, where I'm trying to assess and confirm their interest. I'll make more plans with them, suggest time one on one, get more touchy than I normally am. From there I tend to give it a go with both my sweet side and my seductive side to see which they react best to, I'll still use both sides, but I'll focus one more if I see they like it more. By then usually they'll end up asking me out, but if that doesn't happen, then I suggest it in…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 12:56 AM

Hey if 35 dollars is lavish then what we got each other was pretty average lol. We both spent like 15 bucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 10:10 PM

My partner and I got each other little gifts we thrifted and had to cancel our plans out for a nicer pizza place we could order in. I'm still barely able to handle screens for a couple hours, being active isn't much better. Ughhh.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 09:57 PM

Oh I'm sure if a lot of the guys around here could see how I dress I'd get labelled a slut so fast lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 03:30 PM

How many people you've slept with and how easy you are to sleep with are what ultimately actually make someone a slut. My standards don't really vary between men or women for that. Since I tend to be on the slower end of things, most of those types aren't very compatible with me anyways. There are clothes and personality traits associated with "sluttiness" but they don't really make you an actual slut if you don't follow through with it. A tease, maybe, but not really a slut.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 03:10 PM

Because of my concussion my partner and I had to cancel our original plans for our little dinner date. Now we're just ordering in something nice. Why must the goddess punish me so.

So why is it so much more common for women to dislike it? Seems silly. Smh.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 08:42 PM

Thinking about all the gay dudes who got breastfed as a kid and how it had literally no bearing lol

I filtered for a lot when I used dating apps and it worked out well for me. I don't think very many people are good at it, but I'd say the fact I was so picky on every aspect of someone played a strong part in why my relationship has gone so well. I'll open by saying that looks mattered, but I disdain how often people here think that guys all have to look the same or have the same jawline or muscles or something to get anywhere. I like tom girls, femboys, whatever you want to call it. That's jus…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 07:23 PM

I think once you get old enough, you'll probably find most people less willing to work with dating apps haha. You're looking at the age range that still considered things like bars and clubs and stuff as more de facto meetup spots.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 01:29 PM

Doesn't that just make a worthwhile and healthy relationship even more valuable?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 07:37 PM

Well it's not usually quite that spontaneous. There has to be a trigger, and I usually have a couple seconds so I can have someone catch me. Normally for me, phobias trigger it, specifically needles or flying insects or a lot of my own blood. I'm sure something set it off again, or maybe it was just some kind of perfect storm, but who knows. I don't remember so I have no idea. But yeah, I just have to live with it. The most common animal I can think of that has it besides humans are horses. That…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 01:57 PM

I have something called vasovagal, it basically means under certain circumstances the blood vessel to my brain expands and I lose all blood flow up there until I faint or lay down flat. It usually rushes on pretty fast so it's hard to react to. Basically I woke up, went over to our bathroom, some unknown amount of minutes passed with me doing stuff, and then I came to on the floor in pain since I cracked my jaw really hard into it from falling full speed. I mean thank the goddess I didn't hit th…

My concussion keeps getting in the way of me making money and I'm gonna lose my mind if it doesn't get better.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 01:09 PM

Lolol it's a good thing that I like being the one who can pick up anyone I'm dating. Now my partner gets to enjoy being the one I scoop up.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 08:54 PM

And you don't have to be a woman to do that UGH COME ON PEOPLE
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 08:47 PM

Y'know you don't have to be a man to do that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 08:22 PM

Hmmm I typically like to be the idea maker when it comes to date plans. I just have a lot of fun doing it and I like showing off my planning skills and local knowledge. Paying is usually a splitsies thing for me on the first date. I'm not footing the whole bill for someone I don't know that well and I'm not going to trust that them offering it won't come with a catch.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 05:26 PM

Eh, not necessarily. Lies tend to come out eventually and if you ask early and ask a lot, its much easier to catch someone on a lie. Learning that someone is dishonest or untrustworthy is worthwhile. You might not catch them, and that's fine, but you might so why not? When I start dating someone I ask them a lot about themself and their goals, because it's good to learn about someone you're interested in, I just like knowing about them, and it's good to have information to catch them in dishones…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 03:17 PM

Lol then you can't really get upset that people ask the questions to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 02:32 PM

So if I just told you what the answer is then you'd answer all these questions no fuss?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 02:16 PM

If you're pretty enough or charismatic enough you can get people to do a lot for you, even without asking. A lot of folks are very easily swayed lol.

I feel like I must live in a particularly progressive area because I almost never see even close to the volume of biphobia I hear about here. Its so rare and whenever it crops up usually the person gets ostracized pretty hard for it regardless of the angle they're coming at it from unless you're in like a generally homophobic area or you're dealing with the half hearted liberal types who don't actually practice what they preach and are still very much more passively homophobic.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 08:03 PM

I swear. They already have my card information, they don't need my dang face too. Bleh.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 07:50 PM

It was her again. Emily is back. You ruined her chances with that guy and now she's here to get her revenge.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 01:58 PM

Gasp. You have to track down your Dopple-hannah and kill her before she steals your identity.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 01:50 PM

Allure. You've gotta have something that stands out. Something eye-catching.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 01:44 PM

Oh, yeah. I'm an introvert by nature but I figured my way out through social situations. Its not so bad to get over the more tedious hurdles once you get some more practice with it. Is there any advice in particular you're looking for? Why would you say your face is intimidating? Do you have more of a serious resting expression or a mad one? There are absolutely ways to play into that to turn it into a boon rather than a bane.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/26 06:43 PM

Her in particular or just people in general? Most people I've dated I met in person. I met her through college, some others I've dated were through friends, clubs, hobbies. And a couple were through dating apps, like my partner. I met them on a dating app. I've dated a good split of guys, gals. My partner is non-binary and femme. The guys I've dated were all very femme too haha. Are you looking for advice or anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/26 06:22 PM

What in the goddamn, lol. Goddess am I glad I found the love of my life young. No more filtering dudes who act like this. Some folks have the strangest perceptions of things.

Some people think the strangest things about women, I swear. You know most people don't experience these weird stratifications you're talking about. Its like a specific kind of person who gets involved with that type of gal. I certainly don't see love and relationships with this weird "settle and hookup" stuff. I found my partner and they reached out first, I happily (bubbly, as you put it) talked back and we had a great time but I'm always slow and it took awhile to take that to the next steps …

Honestly unless your finances are entirely mixed, the only say I think you both have in each other's finances is in whatever you've come to an agreement on. So if you promised to save together at some rate, then that money is no longer just yours. If you're paying bills together, that money is for that and no longer just yours to use wildly.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 05:56 PM

Sometimes. My standard expression is pretty serious looking and I've been told a decent amount to smile more, especially when I was a kid.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 12:08 PM

It worked out well enough for her. Last I heard a couple years back, she was doing really well with her new girlfriend. Maybe the new gal was able to finally get her into a dress lolol. She always wore her brothers' hand-me-downs when we were together, just who she was. The few times I got her to put on something nice she was very shy, haha. Here on the west coast lots of people are super passive aggressive so meeting sincere kindness is always refreshing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 06:18 AM

The powers of being a hot bi woman, so long as they're not biphobic, I'll do fine. As I understood from her she liked my personality, my willingness to be "on the attack", my sweet and responsible looking style and my serious expression. She was a farm girl from the Midwest, definitely outside my usual type. But she was so honest, sweet and sincere. We ended up breaking up because we weren't so compatible in bed.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 06:06 AM

Easy enough. Half the people I've dated have been women and they've all been 5'8-6'1.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 05:53 AM
1

5'8-6'0 I'm bi. My presence doesn't change between genders. I've dated once below that and once above that, but its almost always been somewhere in that range.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 05:33 AM

It just depends on how someone was raised and how that intersects with their personality. I'm very solutions-based and that's how I give out help to others when they come to me looking to vent. Sometimes I know I have to curtail that and you get a feel for people who won't handle the advice well and when / when not to say it. Plenty of my dude friends can't take help like that and just need to vent. Plenty like when I offer out help and try to come up with an answer with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 04:24 PM

Haha. Well the benefit to knowing my own worth and being pretty worthwhile is that I don't find it hard to make people wait, and if they won't, not very hard to move on. But yeah, it is important to take some time and evaluate if the person you're with is honest with what they want, who they are and what they think of you. I don't really just do that with guys though. Even with gals, you should really make sure that someone is trustworthy before you leap over big steps with them like that. Plus …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 04:17 PM

Hey same! My family had some old stuff around though even for my age. I had a rotary phone lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 03:51 PM

Damn I guess I'm not worth it to anyone since I've always made people wait. Smarter to wait to have sex until you at least know someone a bit. Even if you like them already, its the safer bet to let time do it's thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 03:49 PM

Living together, vacations, dates, sex, meeting family, career goals and livelihoods, so many things play a part in learning compatibility. Honestly I'm not surprised here. If I learned someone was disproportionately rude to staff or to locals during a vacation, I would also break up with them. And if someone is gonna get pissed I wake them up really early every day then they'll do as they please too. I go on vacation to do stuff and see stuff, not to mill around in a hotel room.

Every so often I'll think about a couple exes, mostly just ones I was friends with long before we dated. Its sad to lose friends like that. But I've never thought about how different my life would be like with them, nor ever wished on us still being together.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/26 02:54 PM

Ehhh. Taking away the forced push culturally for monogamy will more likely just create more of a distribution between those who are innately monogamous and those who are innately poly. You'll just see more variety in things. Gals with a harem, guys with a harem, big polycules that'll work for several guys and gals, and those who still ascribe to and prefer something more one on one and monogamous. It'll balance itself out well enough. Not everyone will get what they want, but there'll be options…

I mean if you're not single, I would just bring it up to your partner and see what they think. If it makes them uncomfortable or they think it's flirting, then just go off what they want you to do. Then you keep them informed, build good trust, and you let them have a say in things. All pluses.

I wouldn't go on a date with someone if I wasn't interested in them, and if I'm interested in them then I'm going to be interested in the things they like and wanting to soak up any subject they end up talking about. On my first date with my partner, they brought up basketball, and in spite of me not being much of a sports person I was happily engaged with the conversation and learning about something they were passionate about. Hell, the passion was honestly a bigger plus, I'm into that sorta t…

Funny. I just had a guy who was super friendly with me at work and I damn well know what that was about. Above and beyond for the friendliness I'd expect out of a customer. Especially when he wraps around from behind me and I catch him looking up only once he thinks he's in my peripheral. I'll say that I'm usually friendly with folks so if I'm interested in someone I tend to be a bit more blunt about it and either play into my sheepish side or into my seductive side depending on what I think the…

I definitely have a type. Almost everyone I've dated has had a very similar face and body type, most also had pretty similar fashion senses with only a couple standouts haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/26 02:03 AM

Well you should have some knowledge of it coming. You want to know the other person is ready and roughly what they want. Like they asked me if I was okay with something public and generally what I wanted from a ring. But it still leaves in a lot of windows for planning. You could make sure friends are there, or where exactly you'll do it and if you've got a little speech ready or anything. Plus the event itself is really the core of it, not the surprise.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 03:08 PM

I was always raised being taught to be courteous and respond politely until it's obvious there is an ulterior motive. Then be miffed all you want and shut it down. Like one time I had someone pull up in a van to the transit station I was at and he asked me how to get to the nearby highway. I told him. Then he stared at me for a moment and put on his whole schtick like "Oh woooww you look so familiar! Did we go to high school together? Where did you go?" Like that isn't obvious, guy, we obviously…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 02:53 PM

My partner has started saving for an engagement ring. Back in December they asked me what I wanted generally from a ring and now they're adamant about saving money. Their goal must be our anniversary, that's the best time I can think of and we already had a trip planned out for it that'd give some of the best places you could propose at.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 02:00 PM

Themed bar. They've even got all kinds of horror attractions set up, like a haunted room and fake bodies in the dungeon below the bar.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:27 PM

What a fun bar. Horror attractions are so neat and they had these very cool ones in test tubes and beakers. Lots of ghouls and stuff too. I liked it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 06:36 AM

With how far that can go, it isn't fun. People get stalkerish. Handsy. Forceful. Rapey.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 03:01 AM

For real! There's no reason to be self conscious about something like that. Its a very cute type of outfit.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 02:20 AM

Its a fun combo! A look I love a lot is to do tights with a mini dress and usually some sort of cardigan, bolero or an oversized hoodie or leather jacket. Its a tried and true and always gets compliments.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:25 AM

Usually you just say "thank you" or "thanks" for compliments lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:23 AM

Ah. Like that'll work. Most people who only select for long term aren't going to be quick.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:19 AM

Oh, Brigid. You're gonna have people sexualize you no matter what you wear, a skirt isn't going to change that. If you want to wear it, then work your way up to it. Start with some maxi dresses or skirts that don't show too much and let you do something cute without feeling too showy then work your way up as you get more confident and comfortable with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:13 AM

Some folks do like long term things. When I was single and looking on apps, if I didn't see an avid "looking for long term" I just moved on without reading anything else.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:05 AM

You feel embarrassed in a skirt?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 01:04 AM

Its fun! Its getting a little too pricey to do as consistently as I'd like, but oh well. Life goes on.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 11:20 PM

Fun filled day. Played Deadlock and Rivals with my partner, going out with some friends tonight for a big dinner bash at a local Paramount-esk horror themed bar.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 09:46 PM

I mean if someone is a slow person who takes a while to be ready for things, that's fine by me. But not someone who can't commit to monogamy. If they're going to play around, I can find better.

Oh hey we're the same height. Its funny, I've never understood the appeal of dating someone like a half foot taller than me. Its harder to kiss, its way harder to pick them up, and its hard for me to shift around the dynamic with heels if I want to be the taller one for any reason. Like, my ideal has always been 5'8-6'0. Just a couple inches within my height either way.

People are often a lot easier and more open to talking than one realises. Don't get me wrong, not everyone is going to be nice. But you'll find plenty of people who are. I remember talking here with a red pill, right wing type of guy about pretty similar familial abuse we both faced growing up and talked about how I manage with it and ways that might help him. People seemed so surprised we were so able to be empathetic with one another and just have a good conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 02:12 PM

It all just depends on the culture of an area to see what ideas, wants and so on will be more commonplace. Just like if you go somewhere like San Francisco, you'll have a disproportionately high volume of LGBT people. Why? Because the area is more accepting, and thus more people like that will all flock to the space and the people born there are less likely to remain closeted.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 01:50 PM

That's wild. I'm surprised its been every single gal you've come across. Might be more of a red state thing, since a lot of those states have worse sex ed, they tend to have more things like teenage pregnancy, STDs, and I'd imagine a desire for motherhood even if you're not at all actually ready for the responsibility. I definitely did not want children. My partner had to convince me otherwise, and even then my middle ground was adopting. Most gals I'm friends with where I live have zero desire …

Honestly. I don't even really have a problem with people shooting their shot at me when I'm just out and about, just take no for an answer and move on and all is good. But at my job? Ugh. Or being creepy and like staring at my body? Uck. Gross. What the hell. Like if I'm working yeah I definitely want to feel pressured to give this person attention back and have to be at best firm but kind with them while they're being creepy.

Sometimes I hate my job, I swear. They introduced a bunch of new computer systems this week, and outside of what they, my bosses, had to do themselves, saddled the entire rest of it onto me. No instruction outside of a handful of manuals I just had to read myself, no assistance. I just had to train everyone, figure out how things worked on my own, and rearrange my schedule so they didn't just fuck over the tech illiterate co-managers and leave them high and dry without any training. I get paid t…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 04:52 PM

Honestly a lot of reasons to not date or fuck around your workplace. When I was single, I still had a hard no on anyone I worked with. Didn't matter if they were cute or not or whatever. I just have the foresight to know that the conflict of interest will come up eventually and end up causing problems and the principle to know I'd have to do what's fair and right over what benefits me or them personally the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 03:52 PM

Yoai supremacist ..and you want to remove prostates? Something isn't computing here.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 03:47 PM

Thankfully I'm a good cook so my partner more than enjoys anything I make, haha. It's rare I ever make something middling. Though sometimes I run out of ideas on what to make in our oppressively limited food budget. I wish grocery prices hadn't sky rocketed so damn much.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 03:31 PM

Well I definitely believe everyone should be able to and be responsible for taking care of themselves.. but I'll be the first one to admit that even when I say that I do most of our cooking in the relationship and if I don't do it my partner eats really bad lol. But I usually just leave them to their own devices for lunch. I just make sure what they're having has some nutritional value.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 01:35 PM

Yeah, whenever I'm sick my body attacks my legs nervous system and I tend to lose control of my legs and voice entirely and just get super weak everywhere else. Its horrid. I woke up one morning from illness years ago as a kid and I couldn't call for help, I couldn't get up, it hurt so bad and I just decided the only option I had was to crawl.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 05:59 PM

Goddess I'm glad the craziest things I have for exes are a gal who never got over me and a dude who harangued me online after the fact and got bored after a couple years
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 05:33 PM

Honestly. Some people take for granted how good their immune systems can be, especially if it doesn't come with allergies as a side effect. My mom never gets sick but she's allergic to fucking everything. My body adapts to things well but if something gets past my immune system I get sick BAD. Whenever I get sick I'm down for like a week or two. Its awful haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 05:26 PM

I mean smiling and talking and being open and friendly are just social 101. They're going to help, yeah. A lot of gals like a fat ass. But if you feel like it's not helping, then yeah, working out might help resolve some of those things. Honestly though some people love that sort of thing. Same with beards. So long as it's like.. actually well groomed and full, plenty of gals like a good beard. Others prefer clean shaven or just mustaches. It all depends. Never bleach your skin. Whoever told you…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 02:59 PM

Can you imagine if the person you're dating is like "Babe.. I need to know I have the biggest feet you've ever been with. Tell me that or it'll destroy me."
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/26 05:04 AM

Path of least resistance. Most people are cowards when it comes to being themselves when it's against societal expectation
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/26 04:31 AM

I think a lot of guys like feeling like they're the biggest and bestest you've ever had. Or that some are taught that their dick doesn't stink and will get them anywhere like a skeleton key. Reminds me of the lesbian phrase "magic dick" which refers to dudes who think that their dick has mystic powers and that they'll be the one who's good enough to "turn her straight".
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/26 04:02 AM

A lot of guys can and are often very sweet and have very endearing and warm sides to them. Everyone knows the memes about the dads and the dogs they didn't want. A lot of guys are also very willing to make use of their strength or their intimidation factor to protect those they care about and do the right thing. I can appreciate when it's helped me, and always admire the guys I've known who are always there to help.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/26 05:12 PM

For eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/26 05:07 PM

Regrets? No. It sucked, sure, but the journey somehow ultimately brought me here. That's worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/26 12:07 PM

Oh goddess well drinking has never made me start getting kissy with friends or anything. Touchy, yeah, but definitely not romantic or anything haha. I just bubble up a bunch and get super friendly and giggly haha. Well I guess for people I actually like I'll get much more flirty and dominant than I normally am. My partner was really surprised the first time we got tipsy together and I very much went down the "dommy mommy" and aggressive flirting skill trees during that haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 08:25 PM

No, I just get really giggly and cling a lot to my partner and need a lot of attention from them. Basically I just laugh at everything and get needy haha. If my partner isn't around then I'm just loud and giggly with friends. If they aren't around, and I've got no one to bounce off of, I imagine I'll just get sad and probably start messaging a bunch of people lolol
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 06:34 PM

True!! They always appreciate my cooking. I like making things for them. I wish I had more time to make more exciting things.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 05:51 PM

Oh goddess yeah. I never drink alone. I get so clingy when I'm drunk I'd probably just start crying lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 05:45 PM

I've got soju and sprite at home haha. My partner and I haven't cracked into it yet though, maybe next week or something. I don't like to drink too often.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 05:38 PM

Reminds me of my partner getting clearly bored whenever I watch any cooking things because I pause a bunch or rewatch to catch the things they brush over or don't go into too much detail so you just have to observe it well or infer well enough from experience and from everything else going on. They just want to look at the yummy food and I want to know how to make it haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 05:35 PM

What happened?

Good! Fixed a commercial SVHS recorder earlier and sold it to someone who's involved in media preservation so they can digitize old SVHS tapes. That was fun. Poor thing clearly just got banged around in a truck or dropped or something. A few gears fell out and the door was misaligned so it jammed. Wasn't too hard to get everything back in place. Had everything already on hand I needed.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 05:33 PM

Homie really said he wants to put people in prison for liking dominant women. If that's considered part of the "too far" then man you must be boring as hell in bed. Don't get me wrong I'm not a leather person or whatever the hell brainwashing actually entails in person but really? Masturbation and femdom? Next thing you know people are gonna bash biting and doggystyle and calling it degenerate.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 05:24 PM

I'm friendly with one ex and that's just us catching up every so often. I'm nearly engaged and she's been going strong with her girlfriend for a couple years. And I put up with another every so often because we shared one of my oldest friend groups, though I mostly avoid them. But being friends, having a frequently open communication channel with an ex goes beyond what I would ever do or what I'm comfortable with.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 01:14 PM

I mean, yeah. I get my partner surprise gifts, flowers and fancy dates. I always cook / bake for them and will happily make whatever they want so long as we've got the money to make it happen. I do a lot of the cleaning around the house. I'll always make sure they're up on time and prepare things to help make it easier and faster to get ready. I always dress up for them and if they ever have any specific outfit requests when we go out, I do them. I always set time aside and work extra to make it…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 06:12 PM

Does everyone nice not do this? I open the door for my partner too. Princess treatment Bare Minimum I don't really care? I mean, I guess nowadays since we live together it's nice to get them whenever one of us is on a trip to know the other is safe and how they're enjoying themself. So I'm that regard I guess bare minimum? I dunno. Princess treatment but it only really works if they don't accidentally destroy or shrink something.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 05:11 PM

Probably. I was pretty popular in college so I wouldn't be surprised if they did. But I mean, oh well, life is life. I remember other people from college I dated for longer. It was all just about what space I had to commit those moments to memory among all the college classes.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:45 PM

That's wild. I've gotten so many compliments I couldn't even come close to remembering that many people, especially in any sort of detail.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:34 PM

I mean when you dated them all back to back and none of them even lasted a month, what can you expect? Lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:11 PM

I dated three people for such a short time back to back with all the same name and honestly I could not tell you which one was which. They all blend into one amorphous "John" in my memory.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 02:21 PM

If it was entirely free of judgement or any real cultural persistence of hatred or anything you'd probably just see a more diverse spread of everything. I think people being bi would be much more commonplace with straight probably still having the lead, though that share would be smaller. You'd find a lot more poly couples, a lot more of a spread of casual versus long term, probably a big spread of big families with lots of kids, commune-esk / village-esk children raising, some people who prefer…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 02:18 PM

No. My partner is sleeping and I didn't want to disturb them so early.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:03 PM

What's up everyone! It's ya girl, back again from a nightmare that was so bad she refuses to sleep but it's too early for me to justify getting out of bed and being active.

I mean.. it depends on what we consider high value. If it's the usual red pill bullish way where's the only one possibility.. then yes. It genuinely isn't my type. If it is someone worthwhile who is my type, I'm single and they're looking for the same things as I am, then absolutely, I'm game. Same with another worthwhile gal. A movie star doesn't really matter to me if they aren't my type and don't mesh well with me emotionally lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 04:54 AM

Who'd have thought that gay art would be gay. Crazy. Lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 01:25 PM

Well it's certainly pretty gay when I like it but I don't think I'm the audience they're referring to lolol.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 01:17 PM

I just answer whatever is asked of me. There's not much of a reason to just start giving things out unless it's relevant in some way or funny or I was specifically asked to.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 10:14 PM

Depends on how obtrusive and frequent it is, and what other behaviours may be expressed simultaneously with that. Like.. almost everyone peeps. That's just kinda human nature. Especially if you look nice. I don't really see a reason to call it out if it's just a big fat nothing burger like that. But if its CONSTANT or if its alongside weirdly controlling behaviour or flirting or just uncomfortable proximity or other sorts of leering, then it's best to cut it off and tell the person to knock it o…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 07:39 PM

I think my profile was.. hmm.. like 3 pictures that were the same selfie pose, two photos of me without makeup in a different style, one of me in a cosplay I did, I think one from a convention I went to, a couple out with friends and one with me pretending like I was drowning in a sea of oversized stuffed animals lol. It worked pretty well! People like variety.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 07:24 PM

Dang. I get that. I used to be so anxious and would crumble so fast under screaming and pressure from someone. I just got it a lot in childhood and it was so hard to handle. As I got older I guess my freeze response just slowly shifted into a fight response as I started to get sick of just "sucking it up". Maybe you'll get there eventually too, maybe you'll have to practice it to achieve that and it'll be less of a natural thing. But you can certainly attain that some day.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 05:52 PM

Based? Too bad the uniforms are so boring nowadays. If I didn't have much of a home to come back to it'd be a fun job.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 04:43 PM

skill issue if you need someone downright stupid for them to be impressed by your ability and knowledge. My partner and I have our respective areas of expertise and whenever I see them flex their knowledge or ability for those things its always impressive. Like they're really skilled with animals, people, history, and with things like legal debate, legalese, and writing to a conclusion, presentation and adapting language to an audience, eloquence. While I have my own expertise that my partner fi…

True enough. I mostly mean that its one hell of a mood killer even to creeps when you just lay it on thick. I've had creeps before get clearly and visibly upset when I just ignored their advance or more subtly rejected it by pretending like I don't understand and then just yammering on about my partner and I and what we did last week or our plans for our anniversary and my guesses on how they'll propose to me and they are so cute last week they did this and yap yay yap. It obviously doesn't alwa…

Gross. I'm glad I never shut up about my partner at work. It usually prevents people from getting TOO creepy. People usually find it hard to creep when I just talked about my partner. Thankfully where I live most people don't get actively handsy because that shit doesn't really fly in my state. They sure do still get creepy though.

Damn. I don't think I could do that haha. I love to go for groceries or for little shopping trips. I only ever use websites if that's the only way to get something or if it's like one thing and going to get it would be a huge pain in the ass. Losing out on the Internet entirely would SUUUUCK though.

We don't really have any corporate officials where I work like that, thank the goddess. The customers are freaky enough half the time, and I already have to deal with pretending to be friendly with people who stare at my boobs or keep trying to call me pretty while looking me over. If they get weird enough I usually just toss them out. Or the occasional new employee we hire that acts weird. Bleh. Gross. Ugh and my boss. I feel like a lot of people don't think about how notably worse their life would be if they went back in time 50 years. You don't even have to be any sort of minority, just having the our 2025 sense of bad social skills would fuck you over so hard. And then on top of that if you're a minority in any way, good luck. I'm bi, and with the type I date, I already know how much more shit my life would be. Hell move back just 10 more years and I'd be thrown into an asylum for it.

You're always gonna get hit on my older dudes BUT if you're looking for what younger folks tend to like more.. I mean, I'm goth and I've always been really popular with guys and gals. Trad goth, just lighter alt, vampy goth, tomboy are all styles I've done that did well with people my age. My perspective on what I like is probably different from guys but I've always liked gals who wear lots of lighter pastels, whites, light browns. Just bright and peppy colours and outfits. I mean.. I don't really care if the person I'm dating buys their clothes from a thrift store or from a Nordstrom or some way high end boutique brand. That does not matter to me. You don't need to be rich to be worthwhile and interesting. You do need to have some real employment, show some sense of economic stability and financial responsibility though. Those are important traits in life and the long-term. I don't care if you're making 1.5k a month or 5k a month. Whatever. But showing you actuall…

Tequila, grand marnier, fresh squeezed yuzu and lime. It was good! Very fresh tasting and the citrus gave it a good semi sweet / semi sour kind of taste.

I swear, I am such a lightweight. I wasn't even a fifth of the way through the margarita I had yesterday before I was proper sloshed. I have no idea how my partner got through the whole thing without even getting tipsy at all. Thank the goddess I'm just a giggly drunk, pfft. But if we hadn't had food with it, I don't think I'd have been able to handle finishing off that drink haha.

I don't know why anyone puts up with stuff like that. When I was single, I made it really clear what I was looking for and if the person didn't match that, then I dumped them and moved on.

Most dudes don't make me cringe. This doesn't make me cringe either. It'd be sad and cringe if someone just tossed that out randomly and angrily in public but in a relevant context it's just a big can of nothing, tbh. Or in your previous examples, why would I just hate dudes in general or not value the attention and friendship of my male friends? This just sounds silly.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 02:10 PM

Oh yeah it's busy out there sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/26 03:18 PM

Not really, no. It's about who I'm dating, not their family. So if their family sucks but who I'm dating sticks up for me then fine. If not, then it's over. But whoever I've dated has always been willing to stand up for me if their family sucked.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/26 02:46 PM

It's a great way to express love, that's for sure. Seeing their face, watching and listening to their enjoyment, just swells up so many feelings of love and desire and happiness in me. Like I said, it's something you'll never see any other way, not to the same extent or in the same way. And then giving it all back when they want to do the same, letting go and following their rhythm and feeling them express their love to you. Ah. Same camp, I also had a narcissistic and violent father. At least to me, it gave me the benefit of being able to easily sus out genuine and good people from scumbags hiding behind a veneer. Nice! My partner has one of a character they like, my ex had a bunch of flowers, my mom has a ton from her favourite horror movie icons and slashers, my dad has a bunch of comic book ones in a sleeve like Galactus and Scrooge McDuck. Tattoos are a great way to express yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/26 05:46 PM

Now I'm just thinking of this statement juxtaposed with all the nerdy types who get their favourite comic or game characters or symbols tattooed on them lol. Mmm, yes, violent.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/26 03:51 PM

Honestly. I only like the staring if I'm the one doing the acting, I hate it if I'm the one being acted upon. I'm more into them being focused on their work and being so attentive to the actions they're performing than just locked on to my eyeballs.

The longest I intended for was a year. The longest I didn't intend for was like a month? But I guess that is intent in some way since I definitely got interest, I just wasn't interested back. I've always been a bit of the popular type though haha. As for empathy, I've known and seen what larger dating gaps can do in my friends and I know other kinds of relationship pain. /r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 05:13 PM

This feels like one of those times where you really just have to find a way to move on. Whether it's cutting contact or actively looking elsewhere, but its just gonna keep hurting her the longer she sits in it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 05:12 PM

Some people are so weird. How do you even notice anyone else like that, let alone get all antsy over it too, when you already have a partner? Like I can't even think of or recognise people romantically like that if I'm already taken because the person who already has my heart.. well already has my heart
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 04:00 PM

Just because it was already happening doesn't mean it is any better. It just further convinces me of why I never bothered with having any public profiles lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 03:50 PM

This is why I don't use social media. People suddenly think you're not allowed common decency and privacy anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 02:50 PM

Oh cute! Congrats for when you guys do finally do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 11:57 AM

I can't imagine those thoughts even crossing my mind. I just don't even see anyone in a romantic mindset if I'm already taken. Its wild how varied and fascinating the human mind can be.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 03:18 PM

That's a bit much for me. I wouldn't say it's cheating unless they're acting on it, but just having it is.. a lot. When I'm into and committed to someone, I just don't and can't develop feelings for anyone else and I'm expecting a partner who is the same way. Thankfully, there are others out there who are very much the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 02:46 PM

The joys of having almost no social media. Its always fun surprising people. Can't wait to just casually say in some of my older groups that I'm engaged soon lol. That'll be funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 02:43 PM

My principal when I'm managing has always been just to direct to what work needs to be done, give the person the tools to make it happen, and then let them loose. There's no reason for me to hover over every step of the process of the job is getting done.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 01:34 PM
2

I don't see any issue with it. I'd imagine the process would be similar to already existing care, so you'd probably be seeing a therapist for awhile before getting a letter of recommendation and then you'd have to take that to a doctor to get a proper referral and start treatments. I know my brother's care, I think he was going to two therapists for like 2 years before they let him proceed with anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 12:50 PM

No kidding. You got busy. Was it all the same person? Must have been if it lasted over a year.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:50 AM

Why does it all start with driving?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:45 AM

I guess I oughta answer too huh. Fair's fair. 14 13 14 13 16 8, I think. 15 First boyfriend did not last long, but the first girlfriend sure did haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:39 AM

How'd you meet your first girlfriend, out of curiosity
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:29 AM

You're either real casual or things did not last long
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:21 AM

First time tends to mean sex here in the US when in this context, sorry should have been more blunt haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:20 AM

Thought of a fun series of questions. How old was everyone here when they: 1. Had their first kiss 2. First held hands romantically 3. First date 4. First boyfriend/ girlfriend 5. First time 6. First crush 7. First relationship over a year Maybe share fun story about one of them, if you've got a particularly funny or interesting story!
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 04:11 AM

Yeah. Always. Sorry, there aren't exceptions. Even if the person you're cheating on is a scumbag or the relationship is new or boring to you. It still makes you a bad person.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 03:10 AM

Being a cheater inherently makes you a bad and selfish person haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 03:05 AM

Ew. You really hang around some stellar kinds of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 02:53 AM

Oooo that sounds fun! What inspired the tattoo? I've been thinking of a full sleeve of flowers, like lotuses. But it's so expensive for something I think I'm just as happy without haha. Might just call it at piercings.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 02:50 AM

Doesn't really work in school. You get fucked the moment they mess up and they can easily choose to fuck you over.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 02:13 AM

What tattoo did you get?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 02:12 AM

Eh. I mean, you'll still want a lot of that base knowledge that helps to make informed decisions. Otherwise you're just operating off of others' words and assuming it's correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 02:11 AM

Why would she do your homework for you? Kinda defeats the purpose of the work if you just have others do everything for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 02:05 AM

Hahahaha! You've got the power in you! Don't be afraid to do a little flirting too.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:36 PM

BRUH. Just message him, good goddess! Its really not as scary as some people make it out to be. You're gonna be super anxious about it all the way up until you hit send and then it's out in the aether. There's no reason to be afraid anymore at that point, what will happen will happen. The last person I asked out was my ex girlfriend in college, I'll say her name was uh.. Madison. So Madison was this 6'1 somewhat innocent seeming farm gal tomboy type from the Midwest. And I put out feelers first.…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:25 PM

I can get that! Hahah. Some people are real easy to approach and talk to and are just amicable by nature. Guess that means you have a softer resting expression. My partner is a lot like that; and, also is very introverted. Has off spells where they stop talking to almost everyone save me, our mutual bestie and family. I kinda have to encourage them out of it, but they're not very good at the "fake it til you make it" strategy like I am haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:16 PM

I'm just thinking about the lesbian joke about sheep. When female sheep see an attractive male, they freeze in place. So lesbian sheep would just both freeze up at each other and no one would make a move. I always say just make your move. If you're interested, you'll only regret it if you never give it a run for your money. I've always hit on people I've liked, usually after a little fishing to see if they're interested haha. It's worth it! I've had some really cute girlfriends I've gotten that …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:05 PM

I've always found it pretty easy to meet and get along with others, men and women alike. I mean, I kinda have to play up my faux extroverted bubbly side to really make friends but that drains me pretty fast. Its a bit hard to meet people who are very introverted though. I'm already fairly bad if I'm later in the day or just on an off day and if someone is always like that it'll be rough.

Hell just showing off half your leg in shorts is enough for some people to think you're "advertising". Some people consider showing your hair is "advertising". What am I supposed to wear a hijab? Or giant oversized t-shirts? Hell when I dressed as a tomboy I wasn't showing off much but goddess did that not change men still hitting on me, and a lot more women hit on me. You're always "advertising" by virtue of being who you are and what you look like. If your goal isn't to attract others and you'…

Hahaha! The joys of being a goth woman. I fit in pretty much anywhere there's a big city with any sort of alt scene. PNW, LA, the Southwest, Denver, New York, Vermont or really anywhere in New England. Just keep me anywhere other than the Midwest or the Bible Belt and we're golden lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 12:19 AM

I had gaps of singledom about that wide or a bit longer a couple times. Most of my closer friends are pretty similar, usually by choice but not always. Once you get into people I'm not as close to then it fluctuates a lot more or I just don't know them well enough to say. Like 1/3, 1/2 maybe? I'm from a BIG city in the southwest US originally. Moved to a another city later on elsewhere in the country. When I'm saying this, I'm referring to people I know from both places and just family I know fr…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 12:06 AM

You can find plenty of people looking to be a good spouse! Put your best foot forward in romance and someone is bound to come along and like what they see and want to be their best too.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 10:47 PM

Sometimes I'll find the coolest shirt or sweater at a thrift store and it's so fucking oversized that it is straight up useless for anything other than cute PJs. And I'm tall! Somehow it'll still look like a trash bag on me.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 10:12 PM

Possibly. Though I've heard more than a handful of stories like this and some of them outright admit that the person had said they were ace from the start.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 08:32 PM

Thanks. I'm sorry you had to go through the ringer too. Some people should never have been allowed to be parents. But I guess the bright side of it all is that I made it out and all the lessons I learned from that scumbag taught me exactly what NOT to be and exactly who I want to be. Life's too short to let others step on you. I got help and I left my father's grasp. Then the sick weirdo started dating people my age when I left. Eventually I cut him out for good when he threatened suicide like a…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 08:29 PM

Haha. I don't think our environment played too much into it. I always somewhat knew since I was really young, like I said. I mean I had one of those silly little kid relationships with another gal when I was very young. I never understood why it always had to be some masc dude and the pretty girl together in the end. I didn't like that, and I knew I definitely didn't want that. I always hid it because, well, I just never met any adult or really almost anyone who felt the same way I did so I thou…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 08:22 PM

My brother had it fine when he came out but my father was always.. much more keen on me being flawless than my brother. I had to be exactly the image my father wanted me to be. Perfect grades, perfect attitude, perfect skills, perfect interests and hobbies. If he didn't like it, I wasn't allowed to either. If there was the slightest misstep in me reading him, I'd be punished. He was a violent man. And an obsessive, narcissistic one too. Why my brother was spared more often than I was, I don't kn…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 08:10 PM

I.. legitimately cannot understand why you would agree to date an ace person if you yourself are in no way ace. Unless it is an open relationship or something, you're just depriving yourself of an aspect of love you need and you'll always feel unfulfilled by the person you love most. Its a foolish move.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 07:57 PM

I remember coming out to my family. Goddess that was so awkward. I was already in the thick of it with my first girlfriend and I knew at some point they'd figure it out. Hell I'd kinda always known I seemed to like women in a different way than my other gal friends seemed to. At that point my friends pretty much all already knew since we'd talk back and forth about crushes and stuff. I told my brother in advance at a park while we were walking our dog. We just sat in silence for a while. I tried…

I think it's just a leftover of what our culture has been like for ages. Its changing, but it's a slow going process. You'll find plenty of gals out there, myself included, who don't really give a shit about who does what ultimately. Or who have "atypical" preferences for these sorts of things. But you have to remember that its still a very shunned thing for us to be the ones doing these things. A lot of us get called skanks just for showing some leg, and if we actively hit on people then we get…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 05:44 PM

Ah. Well yeah. I mean if someone's gonna have heroin needle marks in their arms then I'm gonna be pretty unhappy. With those types you just have to play along until it's safe to get help or you have to fight back.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 09:14 PM

I wouldn't really say I innately hate them. So long as people don't cross my boundaries and they're respectful, I think it's perfectly fine for people to shoot their shot. No harm, no foul. I will be apprehensive just because of the safety things you've mentioned, but I'll try to be polite until someone stops being polite to me. If you won't take no for an answer, I'm gonna start getting mean, basically.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 07:53 PM

Hahaha. I definitely don't look like that! That's a bit much for me. If I could think of someone famous I kinda look like.. hmm Gillian Anderson is the best I can think up. I don't really pay attention to actors much.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 07:48 PM

We've all got to simp every now and then.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 05:43 PM

WHEEZE. No! Not that time, but I've had that before. Equally as wild. That wasn't even a dude, hahaha. People can be wild sometimes. At least in those cases it's more funny than creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 04:02 PM

That's not how the dress worked haha. Its a choker dress, it covers all of that entirely.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 03:56 PM

Nothing even all that flashy for my typical standards haha. A dress that showed some bare ankle and my arms, through mesh sleeves haha. It didn't even show off my figure that much. I dunno, I just had on my normal makeup. I guess my hair is inherently flashy since it's black on the top layers and blonde underneath.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 03:46 PM

I'm used to people gawking or staring at me, but like.. I had a guy do like the full Looney Tunes slackjaw look while I passed him yesterday and that is just wild. I'm surprised I didn't see steam come out of his ears or something. What in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 03:28 PM

For real. Honestly I think it's important that everyone has lived alone once. You have got to learn how to take care of yourself and manage things responsibly and most people cannot figure that shit out without being forced to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 02:07 PM

Ah the addict's defence. "It doesn't matter if I do heroin, we all die anyways!" We all die anyways, and we all have the responsibility to ourselves and to others to live what we're given well. I could have sat around and wallowed away my years under my abusive father and then coked myself out until I died, but that's a mentally ill response to life's woes. We've a duty unto ourselves and others to live our best life. Eat well, dress well, explore hobbies, be social, clean up, take care of our r…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 01:30 PM

Ugh. People shouldn't need a damn relationship for motivation to clean up and take care of their responsibilities, home and self.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 01:09 PM

Euck. Boring or not, we're adults and we've got to be responsible. Its like the people who are like 30 and still only eat fucking Mac & Cheese and instant ramen like it won't kill them in a few years from a heart attack. Doesn't matter if you don't like the other stuff, you still have to actually eat properly. When my partner is looking to make me pleased with a surprise, chores wouldn't accomplish that. That's just the base expectation. Above your responsibilities and the call of duty is where …

I'll definitely say that I'm not exactly the world's biggest fan when a bunch of my guy and occasional gal friends decide to start hitting on me or swoop in to confess to me because I'm taken and at the moment they tell me out of respect for my partner I have to distance myself from them. But I recognise that it isn't their fault either and I'm not gonna be hostile about it, or cruel. Love is a strange thing and no one controls which way the wind carries their heart. Its just a circumstance of l…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 12:49 PM

People legitimately just do chores to get laid? What. Why. Just clean your damn house please. (Not you just the folks like this). I have no idea how people can live in extreme filth or without just keeping their living space clean and tidy. It sounds so mentally exhausting to just get up and look around at a giant mess every day.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 12:41 PM

What's the relationship with his family like? If he has any siblings? What sorts of hobbies does he like? What kinds of food does he enjoy the most or hate the most? Does he like pineapple on pizza? What are his goals for the future?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 12:32 PM

Ooo have fun! My partner and I have a friend who has been thinking of dating. She's looking to date a nerdy type of gal like her. Hope it works out, it'd be fun to do double dates together.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 03:11 AM

Hahah. Everyone I've dated has always been into a ton of the same things as me. Never exactly, because some variance keeps things fun, but it is nice to have someone invested in a lot of the same stuff as you because then you can have a ton of fun sharing those things together. I've always turned people down for not really being into enough of the same things as me. Like my partner and I both love to talk about various games or characters and shows we like a lot, and our own little collector hob…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 02:58 AM

Oh she's pretty!
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 02:45 AM

Hahaha. The fun part of being pretty and nerdy means that I was definitely popular at whatever clubs I went to or groups I participated in. Which was great in some cases, since it got me into leadership pretty often in those things or at least very well liked by most of the veteran members of the group. But also it tended to come at the cost of unwanted and unsolicited attention that could get very creepy sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 02:28 AM

I always liked Liliana from Magic, haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 02:17 AM

Damn, Yu-Gi-Oh? I'd rather date a Magic player.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 02:10 AM

I mean. Doesn't it make sense to be upfront with what you want? I've always made it very apparent in every relationship I've been or date I've been on that I only look for something long term. Then its easy to weed out people who aren't looking for the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/26 08:33 PM

Oh yeah. Silver, copper, rose gold. I tend to go with those sorts of things. Haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/26 03:56 AM

<image> Dang I'm really racking up these bingos. I got two. Does that mean I get double the prizes??
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/26 03:31 AM

It's really expensive to eat out and if you don't have the time to cook consistently then fast food becomes the only affordable option for meals out. Some people adapt well to needing to meal prep or cook faster and cheap meals at home, some people don't because they were never taught.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/26 12:01 AM

I mean.. people who decided to continue to be friends with someone they like and pour their emotional and monetary energy into that person are just kinda stupid if they keep it up indefinitely knowing its only gonna keep hurting them and hasn't led somewhere. Like you have the choice to go find another gal to talk to, or to move on and stop talking to her at the very least.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/26 03:35 AM

My favourite thing is always asking "Well.. why would God care? Why does he hate it? Where's the reasoning? Are you going to agree with a powerful deity just because it tells you to or are you going to ask why?" It shows up plenty in nature, we've got good theories as to why it occurs and how, it causes no harm to others, it just doesn't do anything. Also being gay didn't even mean the same thing ages ago, hell the Romans thought that the gay person was only the dude taking it and not the one gi…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/26 12:00 AM

The ol' ball and chain, am I right? Har har har har
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/26 09:41 PM

I don't think many folks here are into the lighter sides of those sorts of things, let alone the hardcore kinda thing or going to some sort of club or something for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/26 09:38 PM

You kinda have to have a lot of both for a good relationship to last long term. Its important to know when and how to make use of both of those attributes
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/26 09:37 PM

Pretty! Her eye makeup is also really good for her, oooo. Come to think of it, I think almost everyone I've dated has had a face pretty similar to hers-- huh. I guess some folks have real particular types.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/26 06:51 PM

I can't imagine thinking all people out of a group of billions would be the same. It takes a special kind of delusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 11:08 PM

Well you know me, I've got no reason to care about my partner being masculine. Not my thing to begin with. I'm just noting from all the failed relationships I've seen in my life time that that was a big part. Although honestly I never thought "cleaning the toilet and vacuuming routinely" were masculine things. Usually dudes seem to bawk that it's the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 09:49 PM

...huh? I mean most people who I've known to resent their partner is that their partner isn't pulling any weight. They act more like a child than a cohort. Like, I tend to be the one who does a lot of the planning and problem solving in my relationship and I'm happy with that, I like taking the lead but I also like that my partner is actually involved, puts in work towards our goals and is invested in ideas and expressing their opinions as well. They are active, they will do their part. What peo…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 09:20 PM

Some people have interesting types
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 09:14 PM

It can be pretty important to know how to put someone down, especially since some situations can be pretty dangerous and hostile. So learning how to navigate that is a good skill. As a safety thing, it makes sense why it would be a big point.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 09:13 PM

That's gotta be satire. That's no way that's not satire. Its too stupid to be real.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 04:37 AM

Yeah selling clothes is a pain and is rarely worth it unless the particular clothes are very worthwhile or of a good brand / niche. Like I'd sell any of the dresses I've bought from goth brands but that's because I know they're runs that don't exist anymore and people from my niche will spend good money on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 10:24 PM

Now is the time to take a six year spirit journey and train under tibetan monks like Batman or something. This is the path that lies ahead for you, young Brigid.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 10:21 PM

Ah but different dresses or full ensembles may serve different purposes. One dress may be better served at a fancy restaurant with friends, or another might be something good for a picnic, or another for a family get together.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 10:10 PM

Yeahhhh but taking gambles on people with antisocial tendencies can also lead you down a lot of worse and far more ruinous roads too. It's just a fantasy to expect that all introduced adversity will result in a positive growth.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 09:54 PM

Ehhh to me its a hobby. Kinda like someone who works on a dream car or like someone who collects old movies or something. Its fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 09:51 PM

Oh the cold, stoic types can definitely be good people. But sitting there trying to crack a shell for goddess knows how long when the chance of them being as cold and rude as their exterior lets you believe just doesn't seem worth it haha. But that's coming from someone who always prefers the golden retriever types haha so I'm a bit biased
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 09:25 PM

Buying more clothes because you enjoy having options to play around with every day 😀
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 09:23 PM

Save more, get myself a fiancé, finish up the piercings I want, go back to college.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 08:53 PM

My friend, he'd been growing his out for five years. He just donated it a couple months back. Even if you find it cumbersome, that might be a good motivation for you to want to try it out more.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 03:49 PM

Some folks like the dynamic where the submissive one is unruly. So they'll be annoying and daring and difficult to control because it excites them but also it excites the domme to "conquer" the brat and get them to be uhh.. obedient? I dunno, that seems like the best word.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 02:51 PM

I mean it's reserved for specific scenarios in bed. You don't just do it 24/7, that's not very healthy. Its like a kink thing, think of it the same way as like couples who like to dress up or who use handcuffs. There are a lot of people who are into the "control" dynamic. Be it rough or gentle or maybe they're the bratty type who specifically disobeys. Stuff like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 02:33 PM

I've always really liked the nature inspired branch designs. They're really cute, a little more free flowing and not huge or tacky looking. Making something pop doesn't mean it needs to look bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 09:19 PM

Dang is your city just bad for the infrastructure on those things? When we get snow usually the sidewalks never get touched so we all get snowed in unless we walk on the streets since those get cleared. I live right on a hill though so I've slid down the hill before trying to get up to go out and about haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 01:59 PM

My partner got me these really cute sets of earrings. I like asymmetric earring designs and these ones are both so fun. I bought a couple dresses during the last couple days of a goth website's Christmas sale to pair well with them and surprise my partner. They spoiled me so much this year haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 01:57 PM

I love being the one who cooks in my family. It always feels rewarding to make new things or refine the various foods I make. And the enjoyment and smile on my partner's face when I make their day with a good meal brings me so much joy. And it's so fun to cook for our guests whenever we invite people over. Our parents included.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 01:50 PM

Awww I love winter. I run really hot temperature wise and so the cold here feels really nice and lets me dress a lot more freely than the summer where I have to be practically half naked if I don't want to melt from over heating. Plus the winter has all the fun stuff. Warm fires, blankets, snuggles, hot chocolate, all the best holidays, grey skies and fresh snow or rain.
