well i am late to the party, but 1 in 4 stats are absolute dogshit stat, coz one in the us is done in a college town with weird metrics and the one done in india considers strangers talking to you on public transport as sexual assult and guess who is a stranger bus conductor.

It's reduce, reuse and recycle in that order for a reason. Reduce the waste generation in this case dirty dishes, reuse instead of throwing in sink and at last step you do the cleaning.
