7	stop accusing men of things they didn't do I think she was wise to add the disclaimer. It would have garnered a lot more comments accusing her of “misogyny” had she not done so. She knew what she was getting into by posting a hot topic on a shitty subreddit, and I’m impressed that she used her gender boldly as leverage to defend a men’s rights topic. 10	stop accusing men of things they didn't do She was probably just trying to cover her bases so that her easily-inflamed readers may be more inclined to give her message a chance. It’s sad that she has to do so- r/teenagers isn’t even a feminist subreddit (inherently)- but she knows how to command an infamously trigger-happy audience in favor of her message, which is a skill that too many people lack. I saw a dude getting flamed for saying something sensible there and I commented “Not sure why he’s getting downvoted, I stand by this” and woke up to 4 PMs from the lovely ladies there telling me I should be dead or raped.
