Agree about the advice here! For me if I want to include girly details, I usually include lace or ruffles on skirts since they draw the eye away from my shoulders and also fill out the lower half of my body. One thing I’ve also found extremely helpful in learning to dress myself is to take photos of myself in the mirror wearing different kinds of clothes, be it clothes you already have in your closet or in the dressing rooms - this helps me to go back and see whether certain styles fit me better…

(Sorry this got really long) Imo, doormat behaviour is an unhealthy kind of submission - from what I understand, doormat behaviour is generally characterised by lacking boundaries relating to yourself and not standing up for yourself, letting those around you influence or use you if you will. Submission does not require that of you at all; in fact, it’s discouraged in submission in the RPW sense. On RPW, submission is the cart that comes after the horse - which is vetting. So you don’t submit to…

And by not ending well, what is usually depicted in RPW books is that the two people in a relationship are just endlessly locked in a battle for power or dominance over the other to feel in control because they don’t think the other person will consider or can adequately cater to their needs and even wants. This causes relationships to either stagnate or degrade over time, as any meaningful interaction between the two people is lost in a power tussle over any and all issues. This prevents there …

You could also just do a search on the sub! Think I’ve seen many many amazing posts on here with field reports from different users.

For me, silky smooth and shiny hair and clothes that fit well - meaning clothes as they look on celebrities (who tailor almost all their clothes). It’s an expensive and potentially difficult look to achieve but when people do so, I am genuinely awed!

I don’t think it’s so much that he’s “responsible”, but more of the sentiment that he wants to jump in to help, whether or not its fully feasible for him to or not. I’m kinda like you and had to learn how to let my guard down and let my boyfriend help me more with things that I knew I was fully capable of accomplishing on my own. Now he still jumps in and wants to help me and protect me from doing difficult work, but sometimes I manage to convince him that it’s better for him not to ;) seems lik…

I’m gonna say the number one tip I have is to be proactive - both in talking to guys first (a simple hey! Followed by something from their profile is usually enough since I’ve heard guys get approach-fatigue after a while), and also in ruthlessly crossing guys out once you realise they aren’t what you’re looking for. But at the same time, remember to remain polite but firm (not friendly, since that could lead to a wrong reading of your intentions). One thing I’ve found after these two proactive …

I think this commenter’s advice is really spot on. Being extremely forward and no nonsense about what I wanted when on a dating app helped me to filter out the pussyfooted guys and those that were there for hookups.

Do you think you could expand on what good communication but without mutual respect looks like? That concept seems interesting but I have difficulty imagining how it might play out.

Thank you for writing this out. The reframing part of your reply has really helped to solidify my understanding of things that my SO does, and to ensure that I don’t brush off or overlook the trust that he has placed in me when he opens up. Thank you :)

Seconding this! It helped a lot for me too, and had the added benefit of giving me an escape plan if the date didn’t turn out too well/a way for me to cut the date short. As I read somewhere some time ago, if it’s a good date and you both feel it, you’ll definitely have another one, so don’t worry too much about dates where you’re enjoying it and don’t want it to end just because you stuck to the above advice and scheduled something after. Good luck!

I’m not entirely sure, but I think some advice I’ve seen here is that running in the top corporate jobs / Ivy League circles will give you the advantage of being able to meet these high value men easily since that is where some/most of them may be at. However, I think the most important thing is still to cultivate your personality, demeanour, hobbies and other RPW approved skills for now - AKA working on yourself, since that ultimately is what draws men in, rather than your credentials per se. A…

I’m not sure how helpful this is...but it may be your vibe? I had a bit of that going for me when I was in high school too, and only the very brave guys dared to approach me. Of course, this was unless they knew me very well and could see how soft, playful and silly I was underneath. (I’m also from a relatively liberal Asian city!) When I went to college, I focused on changing how I came across to people while in different settings - such as while doing school work, in public social spaces etc -…

I found this post by u/kittxxn particularly helpful! I identified strongly with all the points she made mention of in her main post and refer to it regularly. Some comments are helpful as well! https://www.reddit.com/r/RedPillWomen/comments/9e4x9d/what_i_look_for_in_a_man_husband_material/?st=JOXZAEPA&sh=16e3e59c

I would recommend the book Marry Him by Lori Gottlieb. Even though she wrote it in the perspective of an older woman trying to find a man and the difficulties she faced and had to come to terms with regarding her perspectives and assumptions, I think quite a few points she makes in the book might be relevant to your situation. Namely, how important is the fact that you have to feel the tingles with him right from the start and for the first month or two, and the fact that he compliments you mayb…

Although this doesn't respond to your main question directly, I've also experienced what you have, as described in the second last paragraph of your post. This doesn't relate to online dating exclusively, more to everyday life, but what I've found that works for me is to come across as softer in my interactions with everyone, not just men but family, fellow girlfriends etc. Usually guys respond in the yes maam way because you may come across as very commandeering and authoritative and it takes t…

I'm not too sure about this, but I think maybe you could try talking to your boyfriend to see what he thinks about this and whether further action on your part is warranted? Since they are his sisters, and he knows about how important a close knit and supportive family is to you, perhaps he could provide you with the solution to this problem, or what he thinks is the best approach to starting to tackle this problem. If anyone else can shed more insight and guidance, please do. Good luck OP and s…

Thanks for the tips raised above! I'm from somewhere more conservative - where the usual college lifestyle is participated in by the minority rather than the majority. As such, I'm really curious as to what traits you saw in your SO, and how they factored in your vetting process. Are you able to provide some insight on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
