SJW is a set of beliefs. They could be used for some social progress that is overall beneficial. For example, sjws at my school petitioned for relabelling the handicap single person bathroom as gender neutral bathrooms as well which could be helpful for trans students. However, like any set of beliefs, it can be used for bad. Often, it's used as a form of power. Perhaps not intentionally, but SJW beliefs are often used for moral superiority often on campus. For instance, at my uni, when SJWs cha…

That seems more a product of PC culture than anything. Which is a byproduct of academic gender studies, which would teach the ideology I mentioned. You can read the fundementals of gender studies pretty easily. it's on wikipedia.

I don't think this the black guy can't be racist or woman can't be sexist is a feminist thing or a gender studies thing. Actually it is. This ideology is taught in entry level gender studies courses.

If something can be objectively determined, then what is there to argue? You can say this about any phenomenon on the planet. For instance, it's an objective fact that light is either a particle, wave or both. It can be objectively determined in theory, but of course the proof is often not the clearest. This is what the argument is about... about what the data and research supports the most. Anyway, my point is that if it can be proven that only the minority of guys are having casual sex (and I'…

But it's not all ideology? For example: one thing purported is that the minority of men have the majority of casual sex. That can be objectively determined (or not), and argued for (or against) based on data that's out there.

Bloop - i found this study. Just from my experience, reds and blues post probably equal amounts of scientific studies... I think reds even more, but that could be due just to them being more populous. Terp - feminazi publication! Well if it was a publication and not a study that is a valid criticism. One reason I think is the crazy ideology that gets spouted in Gender Studies. Like, racism/sexism/ and ism can only happen when there's a "power dynamic". So a black guy can't be racist and a woman can't be sexist. It assumes that white males, being the most powerful in society, are the oppressors who bring about rape culture. ALL of this is just ideology. But they teach it as if it's proven fact (as if it could be tested empirically, which I doubt). And when they teach it, they usually use text…

Oh, sweet summer child You can try to be condescending all you want but that entire paragraph didn't address my comment. At the end of the day, those found non-guilty should be treated as innocent, until proven otherwise. You're trying to overcomplicate this because you don't want to admit you're being facetious.

Lol first of all this isn't really a slippery slope issue. Second of all, it's not a slippery slope. The slope is already slippery as this authoritarian law exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/16 12:37 AM

The conflation between not guilty and innocent is a layperson's misunderstanding. I'm pretty sure everyone who understands basic logic can infer this. Obviously the point is if someone is found not-guilty, they should be treated as an innocent person until innocence is proven otherwise. You're just being inflammatory or are actually very naive.

I would also say part of it is that while many men would like to participate in hookup culture, only a small percentage of those men actually are successful at it. Women usually tend to have "phases" where they explore the hookup culture (usually 18-24, after a big break up, or moving to uni/big city) and then realize they don't like sleeping around after the 6th guy or so. A small minority of men get to sleep with these women during this phase of the women's life.

Funny how feminists will agree men do most of the violent crime, only when convenient. I'm not mislabelling Betas here but I guess you could say that I omitted them. If we consider that the average person has ~5-6 lifetime sex partners, I would say most betas probably have had fewer than those. Omegas of course would not have any. Thus both Betas and Omegas make up the lower end up the spectrum of partner counts.

Yup. Look at the migrant crisis. It's pretty obvious that a subsection of the population that is: poorer, younger, mainly male, foreign (little in-country contacts), of a different language, educated in a different system, will tend to commit more crime. There's mountains of sociology data that examines those factors. But it's somehow taboo to state that problem? If we're too afraid of even declaring the current state of affairs, there's no chance we can implement interventions to help this subs…

Most of the time I've been insulted or belittled by a woman, she wasn't exactly a catch herself. Shaming also validates herself. In her mind, reaffirms that she is "above" you and that she is in a higher league shared by alpha guys. It's also why women aren't just apathetic when low-status guys ask them out; they're straight up offended. They can't believe that a guy at that lvl would consider him worthy of her. It rocks their boat on their own perceived self-worth.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/16 12:51 AM

Quick word about the “Friend Zone”. Read point number 2 again. Guys do not fall into the friend zone if they are actually okay just being platonic friends instead of acting like a desperate, backup boyfriend. YOU have control over the boundaries you set in your life, take ownership of yourself and your emotions. Seems at odds with: RP calls it “abundance mentality”. And if it was taken as evidence, then we would have to conclude that a very low percentage (<10%) of females actually employ that strategy. Just because the rate is currently low in society doesn't mean that it's not a legitimate sexual strategy considered by women. Also, we would expect the rate to be low in a relatively stable, family-unit centered society such as ours. It would be much higher many years ago. Also, just because there's a low number of "successful" conceptions doesn't rule out …

Yup. Those years of feeling special and wanted all of sudden evaporating can defintiely impact self esteem. They begin to realize that guys didn't find them interesting or cool, but just hit them up because they were young and pretty...and now that's gone.

But the rate and how much varies greatly per person. It doesn't make sense to try to determine a "post wall age". Which was the point of this thread... that the wall varies from person to person but it exists. It exists as a concept. Jesus how hard is it to understand. It's like saying it's senseless to define "menopause" because it happens at varying ages from even as low as early 40's to even as high as 60's. It happens, it's a concept, so it's useful/informative to discuss. You saying you kno…

. I don't think many people believe, "I am a doctor, I am now a 10" Except that this is true for men. being a hot guy = attractive, a 9. now being a hot doctor? that's a 10. Success, power and status = higher visceral, physical attractiveness, ie: tingles. For women, education, success, etc. for sure adds no visceral attractiveness. It's just something that's nice to have, but doesn't give guys tingles (ie boners)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/16 05:32 PM

you do also have to be physically attractive to the man YES. We all agree on that. What /u/PemBayliss is saying that they career driven women do not think agree with us and think that her successfulness adds attractive points.

Did she commit a crime she's being forgiven for because she's female? I don't think there is a law that specifically says if you like about something to do with a relationship, you can be sued, although there might be. One would imagine there must be. I know this case of a woman who pretended to be a man, and had sex with another woman was found guilty of sexual assault in the UK. If we treat age as serious as "gender" needed for informed consent then perhaps there would be a case. Do you think …

Yup a main principle of trp is that women want relationships and, in general, more than men. In that field, the scales are tipped more towards men. This is the whole AF/BB phenomena. All the Betas, who didn't have a flying chance hooking up with girls on the regular, are still able to be a "Beta bux" and find a mate. Here things are more square to 50/50. TRPers tend to be bitter about becoming a "beta bux" to a woman who's only willing to be in a relationship with him, and not willing to have hi…

more but more and more marriages have a higher earning female. Whatever happened to "watch what they do not what they say"? The confounding variable in that is that women are simply making more, so it's more difficult to find men that earn more than women. So it's hard to determine to what extent women dating lower-earning men is out of choice versus out of what's available in the dating pool.

....yes there are, but you were implying that age was the only important factor for determing a suitable mother that would pass on genes. Ie: a random 18 year old would be better than Serena Williams. 80/20 obviously describes hookup culture. Anyway, I've always found the 80/20 rule to be a bit ridiculous. Men are naturally more thirsty than women, so anywhere that's meant to be a place to hook up (bars, tinder, etc.) Lol wtf maybe you don't understand the 80/20 rule? Because the fact that men are thirstier than women is one of the explanations for the rule in the first place. Men being more thirsty means greater # of men willing to "hook up" than women. So more men than women looking to hook…

See my top level post on why TRP is useful. The fact is, all this advice you think is obvious isn't to most. There's a lot of noise in the world. If the average guy asked his female best friend if she values "physical attractiveness, success, and an alpha presonality", she'd play those down because it makes he seem shallow. Heck, every dating website would want to play them down, because the implication from saying women are attracted to those traits is that: they're shallow.

Latina men/woman who look european count in the normal category. For the rest, well they're all lumped together. East Asian woman probably on par with black men. They're still definitely below "normal", european woman. I mean most normal white guys don't really resort to marrying an asian woman. Dating, yeah. It's a lead-in question to the other thread I'm making. It's the only way to get the other side engaged these days. If I pointed out "yeah women are wary of a man that's been with 100's of women and you can't blame a guy for doing that too," then there'd just be upvoted posts of the few BPers who are "exceptions" that claim that they wouldn't care.

Problem is, you can never know for sure even with STD testing. If you've been with 100's of people, you probably have one STD or another even if you were as safe as can be.

and whether we should insult people like that is another story. I'm fine with insulting people that way if you are. You are perfectly free to call someone a "sexual loser" (aka virgin) and attach the societal negative connotations that come with it. But you just don't get to be offended if someone calls you or your partner a worthless slut or cum whore for sleeping with 10 guys. Dehumanizing and unnecessarily confrontational and aggressive. Ah I see. So you are uncomfortable with the possibility that humans, are at heart bad in some way -- if they, at heart, naturally tend to be a bit racist, discriminatory, vain, selfish, etc. So rather than entertain that possibility and go down that road, you would instead prefer to shut your ears and shut down that discussion?

Yeah the last set of questions I asked for two purposes: 1) to see if BPers on PPD would know TRP theory well (which they actually did a pretty good job of) and 2) to help illustrate what TRP recommends is pretty good advice for men and not as outlandish as the general population would think. And I did the latter by asking what BPers would do and showing how similar it was to what a TRP would do. The point is, if you asked a redditor not on a pill subreddit what a TRPer would do, they'd probably…

See it often with girls from hs to uni. There's a period where they haven't adjusted to the smv and they still hang out with their old friends of lower smv, where they still are nice and receptive to unpopular/ugly/mediocre guys, and where they may even date guys of their old SMV. But then, that girl catches on. She starts hanging out with the "pretty" girls and is only friendly/receptive to alpha guys. And all their old friends just assume that she's a "bitch now". Yeah in theory, but there's not much you can do in terms of guy's faces. I guess makeup in theory, but if anyone could tell you were wearing it, that'd be a social disaster. Plastic surgery is an option if it's a particular disfigurement. In 9/10 cases though, having a good body is more important for most cases of guys. Working out is less invasive, probably will give better results in terms of itnerest from the opposite sex, and makes you live longer.

The point is, virgin shaming is just as bad as slut shaming, so anyone who does either can't take the moral high ground. Both cases are just judging someone for the amount of sex they've had. Okay traits that make you "Alpha" weren't invented by TRP. People acted like alphas before TRP existed. If they see a man acting in a manner which is what TRP would advise, then yes, he's an alpha. Example: Leonardo Dicaprio. He's high status, high smv male, rich, and he dates 20 year old models half his age. And he couldn't care less what you thought about in terms of the age difference.

I don't really see that. But you do see threads about asians looking to get with non-asians (be it american, european, hispanic, etc). The reason why? From the asian guy perspective, it's pretty easy to get asian girls. If you are the top 10% of asian guys, you can get most asian girls. The thing is, despite being the top 10% of asian guys, they have trouble getting women of other races. That's why you see threads asking how to make themselves more appealing to non-asians. The prototypical chad is leonardo dicaprio by the way. Movie star, huge status, good looking, good body, rich, has sex with 18-20 year old models, doesn't settle down. Dread game Dread game is a sliding scale. Being social and good looking (even when you've landed your LTR) is actually a form of dread game. Plating TRP doesn't recommend plating. Well, considering most people are heterosexual, you should include slut-shaming to man sluts as well if you are worried about damaging society. The Church, in the past, looked down upon men AND women for sleeping around. I do think that if everyone was extremely slutty, it would lead to devolution of marriage and the family unit which is necessary for society to carry on. Saying that you are a feminist might win you approval by some women, but it won't make you more attractive. So no, a red piller probably wouldn't and in my opinion shouldn't do this. In the college community, I'm not sure if you realize, but the individuals with the most power these days on campus are those who display highly democratic values. We live in a PC culture. Almost every university student council across the country is full of very left-leaning individuals (at least with the Ivy leagu…

You are not understanding at all, but it's good that we can clarify this. MGTOWs and Roosh are not the people I am describing. TRP is very specific in the qualities that it says are ideal in a TRPer. In fact, any "TRP" spokesman who is in public about being in TRP is not in that "TRP ideal" by definition. TRP would say it is completely ludicrous to admit to being part of a much-hated subreddit, as it just needlessly damages your social proof. As I said earlier, the ideal TRPer would outwardly no…

The idea that the men get screwed is mostly hamstering by beta wanna be alphas. That sounds pretty sexist. I would still say that men lose out more, all else being equal. Assuming that men and women have the same propensity to "playing the game" to win out And also being aware of the fact that men still are the primary breadwinners for most families It's just a numbers game where men have more to lose than women on average. As women breadwinners come into existence, they'll realize that they sys…

One problem with the methodology is that the very highest of the posts that get upvoted might be just becaues of lurkers, who I wouldn't necessarily call RPers, who just hate the SMV so upvote any revenge fantasy/censorship they see, and not necessarily care for the theory or self-help. But this is still phenomenally better than the average BP post. I like how you try to quantify things. I would suggest a larger sample size of posts. The direct fault is Women and Alphas. Women are only satisfied with the "best" (ie hottest, most successful, highest social status) guy that she's ever been with (whether it was a hook up or a relationship or a fwb). She is unable to settle with a guy below what she had previously The alpha hooks up, has brief relationships, and fwb with women below his smv, out of convenience or variety, or just wanting company/affection/sex. He, of course, will not settle with any one women because the loose "…

I have literally never once heard a female friend or acquaintance gush over a man's income. Prob because you are in the middle class. In order to be fully impressed with/attracted to another man's income, he needs to be a full degree of wealth higher than the woman. For example, a woman who grew up in a 20k/year household will easily be impressed by a man who makes 100k. A woman who grew up in a middle class, 60k household will likely not see a 100k man as that impressive. A 250k man? Yeah, gett…

The thought of abusing someone who trusts you to get them to give up more sex is ghastly. I don't think anyone said that. Physical intimacy is important to a lot of relationships, but to completely destabilize your relationship, or make someone you love miserable and apprehensive with something as loathsome as dread game, just to get your dick wet? Okay is it abusive if one side doesn't want ANY physical intamacy and refuses to give it?

People have different libidos. Why is it unreasonable for a man or a woman to have a dealbreaker that they want a partner with a relatively similar level of libido? Would it make any difference in your perspective to you to imagine the position of a man who would just want sex once a month, but his (gay) male partner only wanted sex once a year?

I'm not saying you didn't fall in love with him, but the point is, pretending there was a version exactly the same as your husband who made more money, that X husband would be more desirable. The point of this survey is to see what people want ideally. In the real world, they'll probably not find all the traits that they want, and will settle for other traits that they like.

it's not unreasonable to think she might not want to share it or downgrade her lifestyle for someone right off the bat and/or for a long period of time LOL and you guys get all riled up when RPers talk the same way about why you should avoid marrying women who make less than you.

lol, there's no point in continuing. If your premise isn't airtight, Bloops are going to pretend that they don't understand it: simply that many women, who just simply aren't attracted to their spouses enough to have sex on many nights, give half-truthful reasons like "i'm tired". These studies are all about what people say they want not their actual actions in picking a mate. When I was single would I have said I wanted a man who made less money than me? No. Am I happily married to a man that makes less money than me? I think both questions are valuable. People are going to end up with the best that they can do (in your case a man that doesn't make as much as you would have ideally wanted). Responsibility makes you accountable for the consequences of your actions. This is why women are indirect and use powertalk as their default operandi. Ahh just realized this myself. Giving men and women freedoms could destroy society or weaken it. the traditional view that men cannot be abused by women existed LONG before feminism. I agree. why are we pointing to feminism as the root of the lack of support As I said before: feminism, at it's heart, is incompatible with male survivors of domestic abuse. “In Canada, they’re stuck with a Marxist gender model and that’s never going to change,” he said, explaining that the current system defines “male and female relationships where men are the bourgeois group with the power and women as the proletariat with no power.” And for that, feminists will rationalize that any funds spent on male…

For men is: 90% look like deformed chimpanzees and try everything to make themselves look as ugly as possible like shaving their heads or getting ghetto hair cuts and wearing ridiculously oversized clothes. For some reason they love wearing striped T-shirts with plaid shorts :/ 9% are nice smart men who know that looking good is important so they make an effort to look decent. 1% are naturally good looking. You are completely misunderstanding TRP if I am reading your point right. First of all: Of course TRPillers argue that this system "worked" because it made the betas work hard for society, but the thing is that just because it worked , it doesn't mean it was fair or just. Slavery also worked for several centuries but it doesn't mean it was a fair system . So is do you think TRP liked the days back then in Greece where "beta men" where kept in slavery, women had to work at the home, and only a fe…

I think that unattractive women/girls have more casual sex, because they need validation and affection. Having casual sex is an easy way for an unattractive woman to feel validation and affection. Yup and the explanation for this goes back to TRP. The most attractive women can bag an "alpha" in a commitment, so don't have to sleep around to be with an alpha. Below average or average women can try to compete for an alpha's attention, but she's only going to get casual sex - not commitment. But to…

The problem with arguments like this is that while you may think marriage is bad, there are other TBPers who think that marriage is good. Fine, you in particular do think that marriage is bad thing like TRP, but you don't represent all of TBP.

I have seen middle eastern guys who look white, but yeah not really Asians or Indian. But people here will definitely say it's your own fault, even if you could be a brown version of Brad Pit irl. They'll totally ignore the fact that it's not just one asian guy --- it's all asian guys that "have something wrong with them" in that they're undatable to sections of society like hot blondes.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/15 06:06 PM

Haha and it's ironic that you're probably the type to complain that white men don't recognize their own privilege, while ignoring your own.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/15 06:03 PM

Also interesting One in four said they would marry for money whilst 39 per cent would sleep with their boss for a promotion. And 27 per cent would have an affair with a married man, while 14 per cent would sleep with their best friend's partner. It'd be cool to see these same questions asked in a research setting, but this is not too terrible for now. The findings are similar to other research done on sex.

Is be wary about drawing conclusions about "the SMP in the US" from this though. The Brit SMP is very different. We don't have the Christian hangover in our SMP the us has. The prudishness/Puritanism. In college towns and major cities I would say it's about as liberal sex-wise as Britain.

So you have it easier than ANY other intersectionality of race and gender, aside from White Males. Please check your goddamn privelege. And don't "whitesplain" Affirmative action to me hun. Of course people believe in intersectionality, but it's great that as a feminist you agree that White Woman have it easiest! So why in the hell is there Affirmative action for White Women in physics, for professorships, for internships, for computer science, for computer engineering degrees when Asians and Arabs get none? And why don't you as a feminist call that out?

Could be technology, could also be a change in culture. The 80's promoted free sex, drugs, alcohol and risky culture. After rampant STDs, the ban of drugs, and the lack of "free-love" culture, it might make sense that this led to less sex.

I mean that in the scenarios that they investigated, perhaps all could have been too disorderly to have enacted any significant WCF. It's like if you tried to measure the effect of using bigger bait by fishing in a pond with no fish. You would conclude: the use of bigger bait did not correlate with the number of fish caught. In this scenario, the smart critiquer would have asked: well, was it possible to catch fish in the first place? In this scenario, we totally lack a positive control: that is…

This isn't the same as a "no true scotsman" because there is actually relative consensus on what an "ideal" rper would be. Of course many who are RPer could very well act different.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/15 07:07 AM
2

Pretty good. There is one part that does diverge. And that is because TRP is ultimately a practical guide - not a social justice movement. A pure TRPer wouldn't even bother arguing with a BPer or be on PPD. They'd ignore the moral criticism from the other side, and use the practical advice they've obtained to better their life.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/15 06:45 AM

You didn't read my reply at all. The study assumes that the ships that sank slower had enough order to enact an orderly evacuation in addition to WCF. And it's very possible that in all 16 evacuations of very large vessels, an orderly escape wasn't possible, nevermind WCF.

Haha yeah. I've always found it funny how TRP and rad sex are polar opposites in theory, yet practically arrived at the same conclusion: "fuck monogamy, and girls, go sleep with the hottest guys you can find."
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/15 05:20 AM
2

Yup. And TRP is UNCENSORED in the way that they can do this. A woman might instinctively know that dread turns her on, but of course she would never say that. She would focus in on "politically correct" things like "being nice" or having a good sense of humor.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/15 05:17 AM
2

To be fair, this marks a bit of a shift in culture. TRP is a changing thing. It's maturing and, with that comes a call for more objectivity and debate. 2 years ago, it was definitely more of an echo chamber.

The answer is no, since women's relative survivability appears to be independent of the level of panic. The problem with this study is that they simply might not have found a correlation because they didn't include any wrecks orderly enough. What's to say that of the 16 wrecks included in this study, they were all too chaotic to allow for men to have an orderly "women and children first mentality". Most wrecks aren't like the titanic: they are people running for their goddamn lives.

a girl is empowered to choose the guy who best satisfies her sexual urges, and sometimes, that happens to be the guy who is selfish, unpredictable, cunning, and aggressive. Similar experience to you. Yes, the more attractive asian you are the easier it is to get with those of other races. However, the girls of non-asian races that you can hook up are usually less attractive than an Asian girl that would have required the same amount of effort. I claim that we should not generalize from our personal experiences at all. I slightly disagree with this. We actually have a good intuition for sensing general patterns around us, including the behavior of others. Of course, it's much better to look at studies. After writing this up, I realized that what she's describing is being a plate. Yup. It sounds like she's an alpha widow, who has experienced a guy exactly as she's describing. She misses being a plate - rather than a partner in a relationship - because she recognizes that only in a dynamic of a plate, can she maximize her time with an alpha. Personally, this is no problem for me. But from a utilitarian point of view, the current setup that we're going for is leading to a net decrease in happiness for many people. Women can't marry men that make more than them Men and women are left unmarried But as I said, I don't care that much about society and this current trend benefits almost solely: Men who make good, decent money So I'm fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/15 04:50 AM

I would argue that it's a bit above social constructs as well. Money is power in our society, and "power" and "status" is a huge influence on a man's SMV. A millionaire women, who LTRed a 6-pack, unemployed hotty could still be dating down.

That kind of relationship happens orders of magnitude less often than TRP thinks it does. The fact that it happens at all is good enough reason to treat every gun as loaded.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 09:55 PM

I just think the comparison of women = gun is a little extreme. It's an analogy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 09:54 PM

It would if TRPers would gay. TRP would say, remember all men you date are human and have the possibility to betray you. This is something we reiterate a ton of times, and I'm pretty sure /u/Will_Im_Not, you were here for many of the times we did. TRP says everyone is human. TRP concentrates on women because that's who they're trying to attract.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 09:52 PM
5

Social dominance isn't necessarily attractive. Alpha can mean attractive or socially dominant Dude you're not familiar with TRP terms at all. Alpha isn't just "alpha as in the pack leader of dogs". An alpha male definitely includes being attractive, successful, socially successful, and having a certain frame.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 09:49 PM

The linked comment also talks about women fucking you over at some point. Is he talking about women breaking up with men? It could include that, yes. Especially if it's a LTR that you trust, that's you think is different than all other women in that she will love you no matter what, and never betray you ie: a unicorn.

They are assholes in your opinion, but not in the opinion of the woman that are being dated. And that's the one that matters. ex: priest saying that gays are okay with dating gays, but that doesn't mean I can't criticize sinners and f***.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 09:30 PM

They'd have to be really crazy not to get any dates though. I mean maybe they get a guy a a bit less attractive, or another crazy guy, but craziness doesn't seem to be that big of a deterrent if they're cute.

It's interesting that no one here so far has cast this as emotional abuse. Imagine if this was a stay at home mom whose husband cheated on her, and told her to accept it based on some ideology. Everyone would be up in arms about how this woman has been conditioned to accepting this abuse, and how she's forced in this position, given that she is a housewife.

Seem's you've missed the important part of my previous reply. No worries, I'll just repaste it for you. Anyways, if you read the article it doesn't matter if it was written by a man or a woman. It uses feminist theory to argue that women should be allowed to sexually express themselves, even if they were orignally in a monogomous marriage. It's because "feminism comes back to sex". Feminism always comes back to sex, even when we’re talking about everything else. The point isn’t that all women sh…

Except it only seems extreme in its application; not it's theory. The following is an excerpt that I've taken from the article, which is consistent to things taught at my intro to gender studies courses. Monogamy meant I controlled her sexual expression, and, not to get all women’s-studies major about it, patriarchal oppression essentially boils down to a man’s fear that a woman with sexual agency is a woman he can’t control. We aren’t afraid of their intellect or their spirit or their ability t…

I am pretty confident in saying that this is not what most feminists occupy their time campaigning for And I agree. But what the original article is arguing is that the ultimate form of feminism is allowing the woman to decide her sexual expression. Even if the man does not benefit from the open relationship, feminism is about allowing female freedom of sex, even at the expense of a husband who preferred monogomous sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 06:39 PM

Feminism always comes back to sex, even when we’re talking about everything else. The point isn’t that all women should be sexual adventurers. Celibacy is as valid an expression of sexuality as profligacy. The point is that it should be women who choose, not men — even the men they’re married to. It is an open relationship, but he's arguing that true feminism is letting the woman decide her sexual expression. Even if the man does not benefit from the open relationship, feminism is about allowing…

Do you think that growing up in a family where you had a shorter dad made you more open to being with a shorter man? You are very rare to have most of the guys that you've dated to be shorter. At least of all the women I've seen in my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 06:34 AM
1

This wasn't an attempt to be scientific and get accurate numbers. But just telling from the average height of men vs women (2 inches difference) we would expect women who have posted here at around an average height for a female, to have a decent selection of short guys. Probably a woman at 5'7 we'd expect at least 1 guy shorter to her to 3 guys taller. We definitely see a lower ratio than that here however.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 06:33 AM
1

No girls say they don't mind, but look at the numbers who have actually dated guys shorter than them. Look at what people do, not necessarily what they say. Ultimately, the most useful thing you can get out of this is the ratio between what women will say is okay (dating short men) and the fact that not many have actually done so, or to a large extent. That being said, that's not a reason to give up. Yes, you drew a bad hand. But that's part of life - making do with what you've got.

Also, people who identify as PPers generally see that that RP describes relationship dynamics more accurately than mostly anything else, but of course doesn't believe that men and women are literally "all like that". I'm not bothered but more confused. Being fat is unattractive regardless of the gender. It is. But I'm looking at one of the most common dealbreakers for each sex. For men, the thing that'll turn them off most is the woman being fat. For women, I would argue that women are open to dating someone overweight, rather than someone slightly shorter than them. You are still both about following a "formula" to get or to interact with women, even though the NG formula is different from the RP formula. I would disagree that TRP is a formula and would argue that you don't really have a grasp on this subreddit if you do. It's not a PUA site. I don't know how you can phrase this as curiosity when the author in retrospect relishes her acts by self-describing herself as a "sexual predator". This isn't an "innocent child" not knowing sexual boundaries. This sounds more closer to someone who knows exactly what they're doing, and abusing someone who doesn't.

Okay, this is our first diagreement so let's work this out: IF there were no external challenges, evolution would select for a low male:female ratio, because females take a long time to make babies You are assuming that evolution will act to maximize the reproductive output of the group here rather than the individual. Women are the main buyers of male-on-male erotic fiction on Amazon. Yup that's the part where TRP diverges. Remember that TRP's main goal is to maximize the success of the male in question, so obviously if you commit and devote to one woman, you're putting all your eggs in one basket. TRP tells you instead that the optimal solution is to maximize your status/attractiveness. This gives you the most amount of options and plates, if you're into that.

As for a biological reason for male disposability I can see that as a possibility: You are correct that we have evolutionarily selected for 50:50 ratio of men to women We should not that, in terms of reproduction, the rate determining step is female. all of the heroes in romance novels (aka female porn) are absolutely, 100% BESOTTED with the main character. Yeah, that happens after the main alpha hero shows little interest in the girl. It also happens after it's established that the alpha has many, many other options. The fantasy is a man having many options, but choosing girl x because she's special to him. For all of the things you listed to apply, you'd have to be that alpha first. And that's what trp is for.

no it doesn't. there are men who like neither. anyways the number is around 13% on fetlife (a fetish community site). the number would probably be lower in the regular community. That 13% is very generous btw as it counts users who identify as tops and bottoms, as well as includes a range of sexual identities (like masochists). http://imgur.com/a/tLcWL https://www.reddit.com/r/BDSMcommunity/comments/355ydi/is_there_any_survey_or_statistics_on_the_ratio_of/.compact

So you agree with all those points, but your objection is that it's some and not all men/women that are like that. That's fair. Because in different places, you'll get more or less of a hook up culture. But as long as there's a very strong one, who do you think all the girls are going to hook up with? Obviously the "alpha", good-looking, popular, smart, jock. Who do you think all those girls (that were part of the hook up culture) will marry? Probably all not the jock as polygamy is illegal. So …

It is worth noting that this discussion is happening in the context of broken women. True, but it's in the context of what to do after sexual trauma. Specifically, it's encouraging young women to find: The man you want to have sex with [and] go for it! Specifically with: the alarm blaring “bad boys” [that] excites you. And then later find a stable BB. She's not saying that this behaviour (of having and Alpha men and settling for a Beta Bux) is damaging in any way. Quite the opposite, as she sugg…

I think some BPers here don't believe that. Perhaps some promiscious women as well. You can often find blogs/forums/reddit discussions where (when this is mentioned) a circlejerk breaks out where men claim they don't care about how many guys women slept with previously. /r/PurplePillDebate13/07/15 08:28 PM

Because "people who are nice and have a personality" goes hand in hand with being popular, which are generally both attractive to women. The test you can do to see if "popularity" has any effect is to try and compare in your mind a guy who was nice, but that niceness didn't end up making him that popular. While he still might be attractive for his personality, he's just not as attractive than the popular guy.

This study is very flawed at worst, or very limited at best. If you accidentally kill someone, it's not like no one's gonna charge you for a crime. Outcomes still matter. So you get a manslaughter charge. But following your logic, if only intentions mattered, than you can state that anyone who acted TRP naturally (but did not have bad intentions) shouldn't be judged in any way.

Obviously, yes. It's astonishing to me that this is even being discussed. Adults deal with intentions, not just outcomes. If you push someone down a flight of stairs with the intention of injuring them, it's assault. If you do the same action with the intention of getting them out of the path of an oncoming bullet, you're likely a hero. What it just boils down to is that men are hornier than women. They want less of sex, and more of relationship. Men want more sex, with a large variety. There really isn't that strong of an element of "revenge fantasy" for me. TRP actually said the other day not to bother having revenge fantasies. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/3bgy37/you_might_never_get_your_revenge/

Yup. Sorry to plug in a previous thread that I started, but it's simply because women hate men who are deemed "fake" and use "guides" to self-improve and attract women. It impedes their ability to discern "natural" alphas. https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/3bvlik/question_for_women_imagine_if_you_found_out_your/ https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/3bw06k/the_thread_on_imagine_if_you_found_out_your_so/

True, but there isn't a "BP", anti-rap group by feminists on Reddit, dedicated to making fun of every new rap song by rap artists. One would expect those who claim to hate TRP because it is "sexist" to also hate and be even more passionate about an art form (rap) which contains widespread misogyny and has enjoyed widespred popularity.

Well you need to take in account that women rate other women generally more attractive then they do rate men too. Not really, if all we're concerned with is specifically female perception of male attractiveness. Sure, the fact that females think most males are average or below average might have something to do with the way females rate attractiveness, but that doesn't matter practically, at the end of the day. The conclusion, any man should take from this, is that: be the top 6%. For whatever r…

when it omits the fact that users get notified if they rate someone 4 or 5 rendering the data worthless because women don't like to initiate and thus are much less likely to rate men 4 or 5 as the data shows. actually you're mistaken. that feature of autonotification when someone was rated 4 or 5 was implemented in ~2012. this study was published 2009 and the data was from before that.

I think the conclusion is wrong. I think the women are judging themselves too and finding flaws in themselves. Then they message men they think are about the same in attractivnrss compared to themselves and not to other men. Your statement doesn't conflict with the conclusion. At the end of the day, women rate most men as not very attractive, but still mesage them despite that. Of course they might take into account their own relative attractiveness, but it's short-sighted to assume they're not …

Actually, the OKC study showed that women only find the top 6% of men above average. The remaining 13% that separated the cream of the crop from the 81% uggos were merely average. Or rather, "average" Yeah this is correct. Edited my original comment. The point is, a very small % of men are actually "physically attractive" to women. Women, of course, will still message men. But everyone should look at the curve from the site's page and look at the shape of it compared to the men's ratings. Women …

Let's say one gets laid and fails to provide for his offspring and it dies Okay. But in your scenario you're saying that this man's offspring dies? In that case, the woman's dna wouldn't be represented either.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/15 05:55 AM

But you can't know how many were getting laid If I understand your problem with the study, you think that some of 16/17 men, who do not pass on progeny were getting laid. But, the thing is, it's very unlikely that if they were getting laid that they never got any females pregnant. Sure, there might a small percentage of males that don't end up getting their female partners pregnent. But that seems an unlikely explanation, given it's 16/17 men who are not reproducing.

This is a very relevant article from OKCupid. OP, please post in your original text if you find it helpful Basically: In male ratings of female attractiveness, the curve is relatively symmetrical - the majority of women are average, and an equal number of women are either attractive or unattractive In female ratings of male attractiveness, the curve is not symmetrical. Women rate 80% of men as worse than medium attractiveness and 13% as average attractiveness. Now this is huge. It, in itself sho…

this study suggests men agree on what's females are attractive more (smaller standard deviation in ratings) than women do lol you and your sources...no it doesnt. It doesn't have data on men's and female's hotness ratings for males vs females -- so there's no way you can determine whether men and women agree on which females are the most attractive. All it has is average user's opinion on males and females. Also, the author admits this study is very limited. It would of course be a bad idea to d…

only y chromosomes from men who had unbroken genetic lines from then to now would still be represented. well, yeah of course. that's the whole point of the methodology. by seeing the amount of genetic variation, theyre determining the number of represented genetic lines (and by extension unbroken genetic lines) in that period.

Not trying to build a straw man. You said that we know how many men reproduced, not how many were getting laid. So you're suggesting that the 16/17 other men, who were not reproducing were getting laid? And that somehow never led to children in their lifetime?

Reading at the least the main article would have saved you this comment. First of all: the only way to track male ancestry is y chromosomes but if a man has only daughters his genetic line ends as he passes on zero y chromosomes. Is obviously accounted for. This is relatively easy to do, due to the law of large number. If you examine many samples, on average it will be a 50:50 male vs female birth rate ratio. If you want the Red Pill answer, it's harassment because the girl finds the guy creepy. Any contact from a male below her desired SMV is considered unwanted as it personally offends her. In her mind, if she responded to that positive contact, it would mean that the man was "in her SMV range". If it's Channing Tatum and he randomly said "Hi" to a girl on the street, what would the reaction be? It wouldn't be: wow what a creep. It definitely would be positive as Tatum as a huge SMV.

The loss of frame point was just to demonstrate how completely incompatible beating women was to a core TRP philosophy. Frame isn't about "discipline" or "teaching women a lesson". You didn't read any of the post, and don't understand the original post. I simply asked if your perfect man had used a guide (which was non-sexist and non-selfish) what people's reaction would be. The point of this is to prove that even if TRP caved into TBP's thinking, and changed everything so that it was no longer sexist, TBP and women will still hate it.

The post specifically said "inspired by/based on". The fact is, our entire personality, no matter what, is based on one media or the other. Whether it's from the bible, Charles dickens books, or even an internet guide, all of those things influence our personality and moral values. THe point of the question was to see your reaction to realize that your loved one, used one particular guide in shaping his own personality. In theory, why should that matter?

It's not about prestige. It's about relative prestige. Your BU girl will only date Harvard guys. Perhaps your local community college girl will only date BU guys. But, speaking broadly, prestige is part of a wider arena of traits that include social standing, salary, fame, etc. etc. that all contribute to a man's attractiveness.

I would say ~60% it is her who ends it for whatever reason, ie: she decides that fwb is not her thing, she starts to get feelings that i do not share, or she enters a relationship with another person. Okay let me simplify things so you can understand. The study found that attractiveness = more orgasm. It also found masculinity = more orgasm. Both attractiveness and masculinity = more orgasm, with attractiveness having a greater effect. Was metrosexuality studied? No. Masculinity was studied. Postive correlation with attractivness. Thus based on this data, the best route for a man would be to become attractive and masculine. Done. Period. Finito.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/15 11:18 PM

lol you're not understanding your own stats. no one's trying to argue whether masculinity or attractiveness is more conducive to orgasming. we're debating if masculinity, at all, relates to female attraction (ie: orgasming in this context) You're trying to argue that masculinity is not correlated with orgasming and that male femininity is. Your data shows that masculinity as well as attractiveness both lead to more orgasm. ie the opposite of what you're saying.

Yes, yes I'm all about the personal choice brah. People out there still smoke. There'll be people that still have uprotected sex. Everyone makes their own decision about acceptable risk. Just want to make sure that people are informed properly about the risk. It's one thing to say that you are fine with the increase in cancer risk, but it's another thing to deny it exists or say that it's extremely minuscule.

Lol, don't read below if you want to be able to sleep at night. The number of oropharyngeal cancers linked to HPV has risen dramatically over the past few decades. HPV DNA (a sign of HPV infection) is now found in about 2 out of 3 oropharyngeal cancers and in a much smaller fraction of oral cavity cancers. The reason for the rising rate of HPV-linked cancers is unclear, although some think that it could be because of changes in sexual practices in recent decades, in particular an increase in ora…

Very easy solution to all of this. Police handle everything Campus works with police and students to encourage a safe environment for reporting Encourage reporting as soon as incident occurs Sexual assault education to all freshmen on day one, that makes it clear what sexual assault is, and makes it clear what resources are available should something horrendous like that happens (who to contact, support services, etc) Police meets with campus groups to encourage better sensitivity of sex assault…

Your past experiences have nothing to do with this particular case, I think that's an important thing to remember when dealing with crimes as bad as sexual assault. Unfortunately, many people have had personal experiences, similar to this, whether as an accused or as a victim. It's important to put those feelings aside and look at the facts objectively.

That's not the point. We know that a lot of men would not do that. Whoosh He just answered your question. Some men do. yeah, probably some men do have those urges. Not most, but definitely some. And probably even some women. If by "natural" you mean does it exist in everyone? That's a pretty stupid question, but the answer is no. The vast majority of women cannot cum from purely P in V sex. I never said that. Yeah most women need clitoral stimulation to cum. You can do that by rubbing her out while fucking or while giving oral. Unless you mean by "satisfied" that an orgasm isn't necessarily as satisfying mentally as the actual act of sex is, which I suppose could be true. Unlike men, who are satisfied and KOed after cuming, just because a woman came doesn't mean she's fully satisfied. Or that women who are insecure about…

I have had girls that were down for anal and gave me blowjobs, but were genuinely afraid of being eaten out. Some of them had really nice pussies too. Agreed. I would say its because girls get self conscious about being eaten out? Also, unlike how oral might be better than sex for some guys, getting a dick often feels better than getting eaten out for girls. 9/10 if you eat out a girl,…

yes, we can spot negging, dread, etc The thing about negging though is that all relationships do it.. It's just a dumb word for teasing. And it can be fun, if it comes out of humour and playfulness. "Dread" happens a lot in many relationships too, and it occurs on a range. If it happens too much, it's usually in an unhealthy relationship. But if it's Dread as in staying attractive enough to passively garner interests from outside parties, then I think it could be a healthy way to keep interest u…

You are being overly dramatic with negging. Negging is basically a term for social introverts to understand basic banter and teasing. It's something that almost everyone does, but it's hard for those without social acuity to understand. I mean from an outsider perspective, it's true: why would teasing each other when we're adults be considered fun banter? Tell me you've never teased your partner before? That is negging. Just because you do it unconsciously doesn't change that fact. Just because …

It's not because OK Cupid says so. It's because there's a statistically significant number of people who rate asian men and black women as less attractive on average than others. On a micro level, it is very likely that it has no effect on you. If you are very attractive (asian man/black woman) of course you will attract people of all races. On a macro level, this is important as it is one means by which systemic racism can occur (if you believe this stuff). This, in turn, stems from cultural de…

Interesting, yeah. What I would argue against that is these results hold true for Tinder as well which is hard to gauge one's income from. It's statistically impossible for that to occur. Depending on the disease, if condoms are worn completely successfully, the success rate for each infection is around 95%. Multiple that by many partners (~30) and the number of possible disease they have, and take into account that those who sleep around also tend to have many diseases themselves, it's extremely likely that these persons will have a STD.
