Are these people aware that you love kids and would enjoy seeing pictures of their children? I see no reason to make the leap to assuming they think you might be a kiddy-diddler when it's far more likely that they're just assuming that you probably wouldn't be all that interested in looking at pictures of their kids. Like most guys (or at least guys without kids of their own).

Because there are many women with whom I desire to have sex that I manage to avoid raping. I don't see why this couldn't be the case for most pedophiles.

Probably because most of us can empathize with someone who is repressing desires they have due to the repercussions that fulfilling those desires would have on our lives and the possible negative impact on others, since we generally do so in one way or another on a daily basis.

I don't really see why. There's enough evidence of closeted homosexuals who go their lives without acting upon their urges, some who even manage to carry on what appears to most to be a normal hetrosexual relationship. Why would you doubt that the same thing can happen to pedophiles?

Canadian Navy here. I don't see a problem with it. Of course, the two main points you brought up (no women in combat arms roles, culture of rape) really aren't as much of an issue up here. Ummmm... so? From the perspective of the insurance company, they're charging a rate per period of time (month, year), not per kilometre. Insurance companies use the statistics that accurately gauge which demographic is going to cost them more money, and charges accordingly. Agreed. This shall only become a men's rights issue if and when the draft is instituted that exempts women from being forced to serve in combat roles. More Brit dudes are dying in Afghanistan than Brit chicks because more Brit dudes make the choice to become a soldier. I don't see anything to get all riled up about there.
