A modern view would just be every contributes 50/50 (ish), everything is shared equally, if the relationship ends everything is split equally. | 1 | 50/50 assets splitting is not a fair policy.Because contribution to a marriage and relationship isn’t purely financial, but at the end of it, assets are the only remnant available to divide up. You can’t split past housework, or childcare, or every other contribution to a relationship. I mean you could - you could say that the higher earner keeps 80% of the money and the stay at home person has to keep going round their house to do some equivalent amount of house work - but obviously that’s ridiculous.
