For men to have sex for the sake of it they have to take the woman out. Men are able to look at a woman who doesn’t check every physical boxes and even be a tad bit awkward and odd, and still take them out for a date. Yes, male and female sexualities are very different but no one still can have it all.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 08:19 PM

Can’t argue with that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 07:22 PM

Yeah, but the problem is the less people engaging in relationships the less children there will be. Which will eventually slow down future job markets and production due to less young people. Which will affect programs such as social security when we hit our golden years. We are looking at a future where a lot of people are literally going to work until their 80s, and it’s not going to be pretty.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 07:13 PM

Off topic, why are you paying a man let alone a straight man to rate your looks? I’m glad you’re content, but man I think the whole Wheat Waffle rating services is kind of weird.

Aesthetic industries that are set up by other women, to improve solely physical attractiveness. I literally hang out with socially awkward (some are even autistic) nerdy alternative girls where all it took was a physical glow up to get noticed and chosen by men. Not once were they told, maybe their personality are off-putting and needed changed. Meanwhile, men are not only told to do the same (especially these days) but they also have to be social savants, have money, be handy, be intelligent an…

It sounds like we need to dismantle and rebuild our dating and sexual dynamics. The problem isn’t women nor men, but the unwillingness to put away the archaic gender standards and norms such as male provision. You’re correct we are in 2023, women are more than capable of taking care of themselves and are self-sufficient. Why are we still asking men for provision? No seriously, this whole rising standards issue can be fix if we were to just to throw away outdated cultural artifacts and start dati…

I have close female friends and two sisters, and I can say there is some truth to it beyond the hyperbole. Its less to do with looking for perfection, and a lot to do with introspection and self improving. Women are usually told that they should embrace their personalities “never change for anyone” in the name of self-love, while men are told to jump on the self-improvement treadmill and they’re need fix themselves. There’s a reason the self improvement culture is mostly dominated by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 06:10 PM

Dating sucks for both genders, but the reasons and circumstances are completely different. For women, they go through rough shit with their exes which creates a steel exterior to protect themselves from getting hurt again. For men, they’re either asking why won’t women date them or how can I attract women. I think most of the men who falls into the Red Pill antics are those who asks the latter while the capital “I” men asks the former. I agree that people should pursue whoever they’re attracted …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 05:58 PM

Men are indiscriminate with who they’re taking out for a date but are strict with who they want to stay steady with. Basically a man can look at a girl who doesn’t fit every physical preference, but will take her out and give it a shot. Only PUAs and redpillers play they numbers game, most guys don’t have the emotional capacity to ask out and get rejected by dozens of women just for one to say yes. Very rarely will you meet a man in real life who asked out double digit amount of women, especiall…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 05:46 PM

There’s a difference, men are more willing to compromise or tweak their standards and preference for women than women. Women tend to be inflexible with their preferences which explains why some women have a string of terrible exes and aren’t attracted to men who outside that box.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 05:32 PM

I think one of the problems is that a lot women who came to the conclusion staying single and refusing to “settle down” do so to compensate for getting heartbroken, abused, and mindfucked. To be fair everyone wants to date the perfect person who checks every box, but we cannot have it all. I think women especially the average ones, have a harder time accepting that than most men.

I was responding to this: But men don't need safe spaces in the same way that women and LGBTQIA+ people do. I would argue there is a level of oppression men face related to gender norms and expectations (even the patriarchy negatively affects men). For example, I know this subreddit mostly focuses on dating/sex but the fact that we're seeing a growing number of men realizing that we're holding up archaic gender dynamics that we know isn't working, trickling down into other aspects of our lives s…

But communities, hobbies, interests, and social clubs that are dominated by a particular group of people implement elements of a safe space for those groups of people. Regardless how we feel about incel forums and the manosphere, they are examples of safe spaces. They are a place where men are able to freely express and validate themselves without the fear of facing discrimination, criticism, and emotional harm.

Totally dude, men having fun with card games is truly an example of how much men hate each other. But we should ignore the beauty industry that’s mostly made up of women has a history of creating toxic and self-hating culture in so many women, to the point teenage girls go on dangerous diets and surgeries to appease it.

The MRA was probably the closest movement to hit the mainstream before it imploded for various of reasons. That being said, if we look at any group that ever struggled POC, women, and LGBT you’ll see that it wasn’t JUST those members of those groups that supported their causes. For example, those 3 groups civil rights movements and activists had prior connections to either class, leftist, and/or religious groups. Men’s groups never had those connections, they got tossed into the looney far-right…

At a certain age, you begin to see a slow drift. At first, your friends found steady girlfriends and are locking down their career paths. Then they start becoming spotty and busy, and the suddenly you’re seeing a lot of engagement announcements. Couple months to a year, you start attending a bunch of weddings. Then finally, children starts cropping out of nowhere. One day you ask Joseph to come out to hang out just like the old days, and he says he can’t cause he has a hectic schedule with work …

Women break their bodies with pregnancy, childbirth, and childreading for 18+ years, and also work overtime around the holidays to pay for presents. I agree, so both men and women break their bodies for their children, we call that a compromise. You know, where two people decide to make a fair and selfless sacrifice for a good outcome. Nah, they weren't "blindsided", they knew how overtaxed and disgusted their wives were. They just ignored her discomfort because their needs were being met by the…

Yes, to an extent. People are generally drawn to those with ambition and drive because they're the ones who get shit done regardless of gender. Not to mention that I don't think men would want to be with a woman with crazy debt, terrible spending habits, and completely lethargic in multiple aspect in her life in the long term. There's a reason rich and wealthy men never marries a poor or working class woman, it's because they're looking for someone with experience and competence to support and m…

That’s interesting, I used to work with middle age men too in my late-teens and what I’ve observed were men breaking their bodies and taking multiple overtimes for their families especially around holiday seasons. I knew men who got blindsided because their partners after a couple of decades of marriage and raising their children into adulthood, decided in their 40s that never wanted that life and moonwalks into the divorce. I’m convinced that has been a deliberate narrative-shift about the aver…

No shot. I have female friends, sisters, and coworkers who lets me look at their dating app messages, and what you’re describing almost never happens. The worst initial messages they received are dry ones like “hey” or “how are you?” I see dudes who writes a paragraph, throw out pickup lines, and asking questions related to their bio. Not to mention that most of those men were average looking at best. Maybe it’s your area or something, because I’m not seeing what you’re seeing.

I would grant the pickiness if you’re extremely attractive and lives an extravagant lifestyle that you want to upkeep. There’s a reason men should be advised to know and stay in their lane. But if you’re average/mediocre to below not just in terms of looks but lifestyle, career, and finance. Basically, you have not to much going on in your life. You’re asking for way too much with very little to offer. No disrespect to the majority of women I see on the apps they aren’t terrible people, but they…

I figured that was the case. I keep hearing this notion that men be walking outside looking like crackheads, and I’m sitting here like there’s like “barbershops are booming, there are lines in front of Foot Locker for midnight sneaker launches, and we used the word drip all the time.” Hell, I remember wanting waves (hairstyle) so bad as a little kid lol.

Never met a guy in my life who thinks their appearance doesn’t matter, but maybe it’s due to the culture and environment I came from. I grew up in a black and Hispanic inner city, where we had dudes roasting each other for poor fashion choices, we had dudes who’ll never dare to step outside if they didn’t have a haircut in over two weeks, and don’t get me started with sneaker and watch culture. I mean that’s like asking if traditional dating broken, why don’t men back then seemingly complain about it? It’s because of leverage and dynamics. The reason women don’t have a large voice in todays dating culture is because they all the leverage in both romantic and casual relationships. Compare the biggest issues between men and women in dating, for a lot women all their options are inadequate/undesirable while for a lot of men it’s a matter of getting your foot in the door. A

For men, there's a unique social pressure for them to have asexual experience by a certain age because a lot of women don't have patience for inexperienced men. After 25, if you're a man with no sexual or romantic experiences... you're going to have a rough time. So what happens is that men internalize it into "I need to start sleeping around, so I can be good enough to be considered." Also despite contrary belief, men who are known to sleep around have better sexual and romantic success than th…

Attraction goes beyond the physical and initial meeting, like how many times have we heard from older generations about how they met their partners: "When I first met my husband I thought he was repulsive and obnoxious, but after awhile I started finding him attractive." It’s so unfortunate and absurd that we continue to play with these outdated roles and dynamics, we’re in a day and age where women are earning more degrees than men and are balancing out gender earnings in high end careers. How can I provide for someone who more than capable and okay with provide for themselves?

As for my ex, she has a few more unmarried friends (living with one) but the biggest difference is she has men at work and around her eager to, well ‘simp’ as well as going on frequent vacations where local men are more than eager to show her a fun weekend This is one of the reasons women are a lot more comfortable being single it's because they're "simp", desired and sought out for regardless if they're looking or not. As someone with a supportive family and a healthy outgoing social circle, those things don't last forever. Sooner or later, people move on. Parents pass away, siblings and friends start raising families and buckling down on stable careers. And if you don't find a partner by then, you might have to prepare for a life of loneliness.

With the exception of the social pressure to raise children, our society has been on the right track rectifying the former things women are put through. We had a giant international movement dedicated to unveiling the nature sexual assault that women go through. Resulting in powerful men getting arrested, shamed, and documented. Men who’re looking for long-term relationships tend to afford women with sexual hang ups grace, as long as the relationship is fulfilling and intimate. I'm calling his way of life mediocre in terms of most people today would view it, me personally I think his life is something to respect and view as "winning." I didn't claim Hank Hill's life as something to be improved, but something respectable for young men to aspire to be. Ofc those internet guru would kill to have what Hank has because he was capable of finding inner peace and content with the little he has.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:24 PM

Effort is relative, in order to not be mediocre and reach the top you need an abundance. And to have an abundance we need have-nots, without them what makes a person not mediocre if everyone can or will reach it? But I'm going off tangent.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:55 PM

This is very true.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:43 PM

I think there is such a thing as "done enough" in terms of meeting basic necessities and standards of independent adult. But I don't think there's a "done enough" when it comes to refining yourself and having personal goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:42 PM

But how do know if you're either not trying hard enough or you're participating in almost impossible to win rat race? Most people aren't that special.

I choose Hank Hill in particular because KotH is still fresh in my mind lol. There's a lot of happiness to be had and found in being average, I just wish we didn't look down upon it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:32 PM

Yeah, but the problem is that those who are openly not determined to become something beyond average are viewed as unambitious, stagnant, and boring. Despite, having goals more intuitive and personal.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:30 PM

Most men are average by default, but they don't view themselves that way because they see that as losing.

Same here, my father was working class immigrant who gave a shit about his job and his purpose within it despite it not being the most extravagant career in the world, but he was satisfied. I always respected those who has the kind of honor you're describing.

I totally agree, that you should always strive to be a better person and have personal goals. But for most people their best is mediocre in the grander scheme of things. Which I have no problems with.

When you meet the basic standards of an well-adjusted adult and capable of taking care of yourself, but nothing works. Self-improvement in that context, is basically telling an individual to push up Sisyphus rock to distract ourselves from examining broad issue concerning our socialization and community building.

I agree that we should hold sexists and rapists accountable. I’m not asking for women to drop their precautions or guard around men, but we shouldn’t also demand decent regular men to pick up the pieces from an terrible person. If I find out someone I know is a rapist or has raped someone in the past, I’ll demand him to to turn himself in or I’m reporting him, either way I’m cutting that person out my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 06:24 PM

I agree that our society doesn’t have a good modern hardline legal definition of rape, if anything our current laws are still archaic. Without going much into the weeds of how morals vs law, rape cases are incredibly difficult and delicate to solve.

How so? The point is that a minority of the population make up majority of a crime.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 05:24 PM

Nope, in the study 6.5% are self-identified rapists not just convicted. In that same study in a room of 100 men there were more men who’re victims of rape than perpetrators.

I'm confident that it's not a larger pool of men, one because our entire civilization literally cannot properly function if almost half the population of men are rapists or SA'ers. Two, most rapists and sexual assaulters are repeated offenders. Those who commit those crimes as adults has definitely done it before in the past. Let's put 100 rapists in a room, I'm willing to bet that those 100 rapists collectively make up at least 1-2k of rapes. Same goes with sexual assault.

Anyone who dismisses this issue to just "Yeah, life isn't fair" or "why should be fair" are apart of the problem. We will campaign and cause uproar for the injustices and unfair treatment for many groups, but when it comes to straight men... it's always be better or stop complaining and figure it out on your own. I think it's complete bullshit for ANYONE regardless of gender, to be held responsible for the crimes and sins of a POS who happens to be in the same gender. It's one thing to be empath…

But why should the majority of decent normal men be burdened with dealing with the minority scums of our society? Why should I go out of my way and deal with those scum's sins, when I'm already through the hardships of life as an responsible individual. Most rapists and sexual assaulters don't give a fuck. They're moving through life without a CARE or REMORSE about how they're effecting their victims and others, while innocent men are expected to pick up the pieces. Isn't that some bullshit? Sex…

There's a study "2002 Lisak study" that claims that only 6.5% of men are rapists. Which makes sense since those who commit those crimes tend to be repeated offenders, they make up a larger proportion than one-time offenders. Our civilization cannot function if almost half the male population are rapists.

I mean I'm already living alone, but I don't how long I keep it up. I'm at the age where most of my peers and friends are either getting married, raising a family, or moving up the career ladder. They have so little time to hang out with me, which isn't their fault. Most social events that cater to my age group are usually occupied by people with their families and kids. Well it sounds like girls who don't know what they want aren't your type then? So move on when you encounter them. Easier said than done, due to the problem clearly not being in the individual level. Most women just cannot articulate their "spark" nor "connection" compared to men. I would love to be with a woman who not only knows what she wants but is able to stay consistent to it. I do know what I want, but it wouldn't matter if I'm dealing with someone who doesn't know what they want. Without getting to personal, let's just say that I'm not struggling to take care of myself and doing pretty well. I'm in a situation where "dates" don't very easy for me and that I don't have a lot options in line.

Withholding sex is a good litmus test to vet out men who are looking for pump and dump/ONS, however it is also important acknowledge that in today's dating climate sex is considered one of the staples of going steady. I didn't make the rules. If women want to secure commitment without having sex after a few dates, they would have to follow the advice men are always given verbatim which is to think about what do you have to offer to that man that'll improve both your lives in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:04 AM

It is a tragedy but our current dating culture have shown men that having sex is one of priorities of going steady. I don't mind waiting for sex, I don't crave it BUT if it doesn't happen in a certain period of time women tend to ghost on me. Safety and reassurance are by far not the only or most boundaries. Most problems don't arise from this even. Emotional safety and reassurance are the top 3 reasons for divorces. For example, lack of commitment is the number one reason for divorce which is a part of reassurance. Men would accept outright abusing behavior because they're expected to endure. That highly depends on one's definition of "flirty." This is why calling something a boundary shouldn't automatically mean it's above scrutiny or criticism. They're always next to each other, very touchy, the majority of tone of the conversation is suggestive, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 04:19 PM

Men are afraid to break the deal, because most women will never tolerate a man who scrutinizes or criticizes their boundaries regarding to their safety and reassurance. Don't we call those people creeps?

/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 04:12 PM

Yes. You're more likely to constantly experience those horrible stuff if you don't put your foot down. We should able to assert and enforce our boundaries if someone crosses the line, and if that keep doing THEN you should leave the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 04:07 PM
2

Technically, boundaries are when you're setting rules and limits regardless of imposition. You're arguing semantics, everything is a choice. I can choose to never pay rent, but I can face eviction which isn't in my best interest. Usually, when someone tells their partner especially in a marriage that "I will not stay with you if you choose to flirt with other women" what they're trying to say is to cut it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 04:00 PM

You forgot to include the part of the quote where I mention those boundaries needing to be enforced. If I don't feel comfortable and get disrespected in both professional and personal spaces I will call it out and no tolerate it. Or else those boundaries means nothing. For example, if a woman sees her husband getting too flirty with another woman, and she tells him cut contact or tone it down that is her cont…

I agree with this on theoretical level, but practical? Nah, when it comes to boundaries we tend to treat it differently depending on gender. I know you mean well, but I get the feeling that you might not feel the same way about women's boundaries, especially regarding emotional safety and reassurance. We will never question or scrutinize a woman's boundary related to anxiety and fear by telling them to confront the heart of the issue instead of enforcing them, people will be put off.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 03:26 PM
7

I disagree, you set boundaries for yourself to have other people respect it. What's the point of asserting, enforcing, or having a set of boundaries if you're not setting it for others? I would not like to be manipulated, a doormat or abused, but in order to not be those things I have to enforce it onto other people. The essence of boundaries is technically controlling other people's behaviors for reassurance.

Nope, because what’s going to happen is that a lot of younger men in their late teens and college are going be out of luck due to women their age dating older men.

It’s funny because I’m actually on the feminist/progressive side. They have successfully shown throughout their history that gender expressions and norms aren’t concrete and roles can be switched around when necessary, for women but to came to men they took away the ladder. The best way to combat TRP is to eliminate masculine expectations and make it a choice. But they want to don’t want to do that because they’re current at a really good and comfortable spot culturally.

At its core the RedPill is the “understanding of human nature, more specifically women’s behaviors.” Through various of terrible data and study collecting methods. The OG Redpill around a decade or so ago, was closely tied with the PUA and seduction community. The idea was that ANY guy could be an “alpha male” if he put in the work, self improve, and learn “Game.” It was really popular with the older millennial generation that were college ages at the time. Lately, they’ve made a slow shift towar…

I disagree, when I see someone like Tate especially now with the whole court case… I think there are some levels of consciousness and awareness in what they’re preaching and lecturing. I don’t think RedPiller cares about relationships in general as long as they get theirs, to them it’s conquering over maintaining healthy relationships.

I did a quick lurk of the subreddit. Read a bit of the sidebar content, and holy shit does it reminds me of the old school RedPill and seduction subreddit a decade back. Now I'm really starting to notice the cadence and tonality from that subreddit in a lots of places.

Where was any of that mentioned or implied?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 06:11 AM

But that's not what a pick me is... A pick me is a woman who throws other women under the bus to appease men, for example women who says they're not to be like other women or say they like hanging out with men better cause they don't cause drama.

How is being attentive and kind pick-me behavior? I thought pick-mes were women who throws other women under the bus to appease men. Imagine living life in tutorial mode where you can treat dating like a challenge, where all you need to do to keep a partner is to be mutually attentive, kind, and considerate. Hell, you didn't have to do #6.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 04:19 AM

Usually when people cheat on each other, it's because they're missing something in the relationship. Long-term relationships and marriages isn't about constant excitement and spontaneity, hell the average couple "fall out love" with each other after 7 years. Which is why companionship and routine are crucial in maintaining a relationship. Propinquity describes the reason people become friends or partners, and not what maintains it.

I don't know what incels you've been running into, but the ones I know come off too shy, anxious, and depressed to be creepy, annoying and obnoxious. But that's just my observation. Hell, when I hear about men spiking drinks to take advantage of women, raging out on a women's rejection, and stalking 2/3 of those are mostly exhibited by fuckboys. But hey... if you find them interesting that's your prerogative.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 12:59 AM

Because being annoying and boring is a trait very aligned with being an incel / creep. Boring yes, annoying ehh. Incels tend to be on the quieter social anxiety side of things. Maybe that's just my experience, because I hangout with a lot of nerds. While fuckboys, as you correctly stated, may be entertaining, and that’s what women tend to fall for Aren't Fuckboys notoriously known for being annoying and obnoxious? Also, when I say "women do tend to entertain fuckboys" I'm talking about level of …

Sorry for going slightly off-topic but conversion therapy is a tough one, because we've not figured out whether if sexual orientation is mostly genetic or environmentally influenced.

This might be controversial but I think most of that stuff are mentally and socially conditioned, and has been amplify up to 1000 by the internet. There's a social psychology term called propinquity, which reveals that the longer you share a space with someone the more likely you're form a relationship with them whether if it's friendship, dating, or hooking up regardless of the initial meeting. /r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 11:58 PM

There's social psychology term called propinquity, where the longer you're around a person the more likely you'll either be friends, develop a crush, or start dating. For example, there used to be a coworker at my job who if I were to see her photos on a dating app I would've swiped left, but for some sociological reason the longer I was around her and got to know each other better I suddenly found her physically attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 11:55 PM
1

There are hardline built-in attractions and soft tweakable attractions, but what's important is if those attractions are reasonable and attainable to the person. Sexual orientation is what I would consider to be mostly hardline built-in, while facial and body appearances are mostly tweakable. In my honest opinion, I don't think most people (both men and women) have a lot of hardline untweakable attraction and a lot of our attraction is mostly mental and social conditioning that can be broken out…

Have you ever heard that one Chris Rock quote "When you meet somebody for the first time, you're not meeting them, you're meeting their representative." Regardless of who that person is, when we meet anyone for the first time they're putting on what they think is a "I want to make a good first impression" face on. Very rarely have I ever met a decent or horrible person who advertise their entire personality right away, it's very natural for people to slowly expose their true selves over time. It…

They can have pull, but if they don’t have more than others specifically for being drug dealers, then the theory is incorrect. Where I'm from they definitely had more pull than others. To the point when I was a kid/teenager wannabe gangsters was a thing. The romanticization and glorification of gang culture is a popular theme in many urban fiction books that mostly women read. I’ve never seen a woman like drug dealers unless they into drugs to begin with. And while many women indeed ignore red flags when the guy is attractive, they usually also do not think he is boring if he is attractive even if the guy is dull and goody two shoes. You'll be surprised on the amount of pull drug dealers/gangbangers have on so many women especially in the inner cities. You're somewhat correct on the attractive part, but if you're attractive and a badboy... you got it lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 04:22 PM

I came from a inner city background where I had to learn how to read people very early to avoid being a sucker. Reading people isn't about detecting whether if they're good or bad. It's about recognizing patterns of behaviors/social decorum/intentions, levels of consistency, and how much you know about the individual's past. My tactics of reading charismatic or rhetorically gifted people are watching their actions, ignoring flattery, and learning about their past from other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 04:00 PM

If you're a child/teenager I'll grant you that, but if you're a grown ass adult you should know better. People are not that hard to figure and vet out regardless of social skills and charisma. Unless you're dealing with a sociopath or pathological liar.

Redpillers are completely aware of how abusive men lie and manipulate people, it's literally one of their core tactics in attracting women. I think the biggest problem isn’t that nice guys are lazy, but how men and women are raised to believe that women are the prize. Most people are boring, average, doing the bare minimum by winging it. You mentioned things do to be physically attractive to men, when we even do it too. Men also shave, get haircuts, workout, buy and take of nice clothes, and take care of their faces/skins to attract women. Older women are a lot more socially adjusted, confident, and straight forward because they came from a different era and have experience, the same could be said about older men. It's the fault of the app developers, not men who use them. 99% of the men on apps are just boring, not creepy or gross. To be fair most people are boring and painfully average. The algorithms also actively encourage gross fuck boys. Women respond to creepy proposals because they inspire a reaction, even if it's just to say "Fuck off". You're being dishonest. I know you wouldn't never ask for stats or research to know how much women are in risk of being SA, you can see it through observation and pattern recognition. Also, you're putting your close male friends against multiple people on this thread (both men and women) and current online trends who knows what's going on. Exceptions don't make the rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 08:31 PM

Nope, It's about challenging liberals who are picking and choosing which groups get to benefit from the fruit of progressivism and which gets left behind. For the past 100 years, women have fought to climb to ladder of social progress and freedom from restrictive gender roles, and when it got to men we pulled the ladder away and pressure them to keep playing along to archaic roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 08:16 PM

Your ability to generalize is limited? I know numerous of men IRL who been SA. But, I know that both of us would have no problem generalizing SA as something that mostly affects women. Whenever we hear about "icks" whether if it's real life or online, it's mostly done by women. Men are a lot more lenient unless you're hanging out with the very small top echelon of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 08:00 PM

The problem is the level of discernment. Human beings are not perfect logical creatures, we all have flaws and blunders that will be exposed the longer you around the person. flaws and icks are being treated as red flags, when they're not. There are women who will cut off all contact and lose interest if a man voice cracks. There's a video of a woman who ended a date because the man didn't want to put cheese on his burger to save money.

Other than changing a flat tire, what other work do men do for their wife or girlfriend? What responsibilities do men take on for their wives/girlfriends? That's a trick question that indicates whether or not you're in a healthy relationship. It's not about what a man can for his wives nor what a wife can do for her man, it's taking roles that plays on the individuals strength and availability. Oh, the wife is good at and knows a lot about ______? Okay, we'll ask turn to her for this. Oh, the hu…

I disagree, I live in one of the most progressive cities in America... probably in the world. Majority of my peers, friends, and the community I hang around with are VERY left leaning. I know women who went to college with me that wrote papers and articles about how destructive and oppressing gender roles are in a systemic and articulate fashion, citing famous feminist thinkers and gender theorists. But when I ask them (cis hetero women) what do they want and expect from a partner, like what kin…

Of course if you don't have a cover or a "sales pitch" you will fail, that was not what I talking about. I was speaking more on a nuance level, like if the book has a average/subpar cover but the contents are decent. A book can have a nice cover but you're eventually going to have to read it.

Men were expected to be the breadwinners because for the vast majority of human history, women were not allowed in professional and leadership roles. You know who set that system up? Men. Nope. The system was setup by a minority of powerful men on the top of hierarchy. Throughout the vast majority of the human history, the average man was expected to throw their lives away to fight wars and battles instigated by those at the top. If you go further back if you came from a poor family, you were se…

Every marital artists, arms instructor, and self defense coach that are worth their salt will strongly advise you to avoid conflict and get the fuck away, words exchange are not required. I don't owe a creepy ass stranger my time or energy. If my partner has a problem with it it's all good, I didn't sign up to become someone's personal meatshield.

A better partner is someone who's able to complement your life regardless of the quality of their initial "sales pitch." Action and time speaks louder than a book cover.

Holy shit, give me a break. "Men finally have to add value outside of having a job." "They can't handle doing the things women have always done for their partners/families" What kind of broken/dysfunctional homes did most of you people come from? Men were always expected to be more than breadwinners. Men are usually expected to take on roles that require leadership, handiness, and protection even to this day. A healthy relationship and marriage is one where the man and woman complement each othe…

You're correct on the broke part lol. But height and looks, ehh it depends. I'm an average looking black dude I don't have piercings or tattoos but I've dressed the part and dyed my hair... only one time. I've been to numerous of metal/metalcore/punk rock/hardcore shows in my city and even other states since I was a teenager. To this day I still love and embodied the music, ethos, and attitude those scenes and subcultures offered, because I relate more to the weird and eccentric crowd. Yeah, the…

The scale is different, but the scenario is the same. Group A are the top remarkable minority that could have it all, and Group B are the unremarkable that either have little or nothing. You’re telling Group B to participate in a rat race in hopes to be in Group A, the difference between this and wanting to be a millionaire is that the unremarkable people are being told to go on numerous trials just be with another unremarkable person.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 07:38 PM

You see this as a problem. I see it as an opportunity. There are so many ways to become remarkable in some respect and the majority of men aren't doing them. Bad news for men as a whole, but good news for you as an individual. And there are opportunities and chances for anyone to become a millionaire, but can everyone become a millionaire? No. To be remarkable or a millionaire you need an abundance, and order to have an abundance someone has to have little or nothing. Creating a "race to the bot…

I'm going to keep it stack. But most people (both men and women) don't go through life with the mindset of developing a tangible identity, they go with the flow and things just happens to them. Most people don't have a giant consistent blueprint on how they're going to build every inch of their lives. Speaking as someone with dedicated life-long hobbies and interests (and I'm not talking about video games), most of the women I'm running into literally have nothing going on with them. I don't mea…

Why can't people behave like well-adjusted adults who knows how to communicate with their words, and doesn't throw the onus on everyone else understand vague messages? The average man has no game? Who unironically uses the word "game" in real life other than RedPillers and high schoolers?

I disagree wholeheartedly from personal experiences and environment. I grew up in the inner city with blacks and hispanics, and let me tell you how not clueless these men are about appearances. Growing up I had peers who would never step outside their house without a good haircut, I knew dudes who showed off clothes at school and work, I knew sneakerheads who hearts would drop if their new shoes got a little nick.

I'll change 3 things: TL;DR 1. Stop shaming virgins/inexperienced men. 2. allow men to express their emotions for the sake of emotional intelligence, and not solely for the benefit of women. 3. We need a new set of universal standards for masculinity. The immense pressure on young men to lose their virginity and to sleep with many women as possible to be taken seriously as potential partners. As it stands in the current social and cultural climate, a lot of women do not like virgin or inexperien…

I disagree, but I wouldn't argue that having good looks makes you the second coming of Christ. It does however afford you a level of patience, kindness, and admiration that a lot of people wouldn't have. If you're not conventionally attractive any mistake, misreading, and hiccups are fatal, and that's if she decides to look past your looks. If you are attractive, your mistakes or blunders are written-off. No, they wouldn't feel fine meeting A guy in the gym, they want THE guy. If they see you an…

I didn't make the rules either, I'm just speaking from personal experience and observation. I was told by numerous women in my real life, that they don't want to be approached in college because they're too busy and stress about schoolwork. They don't want to be approached at concerts because they just want to have good time at these shows with friends. Bars and clubs are not my scene and are terrible for conversations especially clubs, also I don't drink alcohol lol.

I’m pretty sure those are both acceptable places to approach people. Where is it you are seeing it’s not OK to ask girls out you meet at a rock concert or college? I've been told by numerous women in real life (sisters, friends, coworkers, former classmates) that not only those places aren't appropriate BUT that they don't want to be approached in general. I've been told that being approached is annoying regardless of how you do it. I've been to numerous Punk/Hardcore/Metal shows with female fri…

Bars and clubs are the worst places to meet someone if you don't fit a certain archetype or crowd. As someone who went to bars and crowd a couple of times, most men don't get any success from there. I used to go to concerts when I was younger, mostly Punk/Hardcore/Metal shows. Most people there only talk to friends or moshing, sure there are a few interactions but once the show is over chances are we'll never meet again. Plus concerts are becoming way too expensive to attend.

Calling someone or something out that’s harmful is extremely effective, it’s “social sanctions.” It’s the soul of every civil rights and activist movements. It takes a collective to decide to where the line should be drawn. Just moving on isn’t enough if the issue is wide spread. How far should someone adjust their standards until it’s absurd? People keep preaching about men going after the hottest women and models, when that’s far from the truth. Most men average and are going after other avera…

THANK YOU! Holy Shit!! Thank you!! You've articulated what I've been thinking for a while now. When I was a teenager, I was told numerous times how to conduct myself and adhere to the 100% FULL ENTHUSIATIC VERBAK CONSENT mantra where in anytime it could be taken away, and BOOM you're in a some deep shit. I remember scoffing at jokes like "Haha we might have to make consent papers one day" but it's starting to feel like we're getting so much closer to that reality. We're so lost in the sauce it's…

To be honest this is out of men's hands. I mean what are we supposed to do, we didn't create the terms and conditions. If it sounds like a man isn't confident or appealing (because even women my age feel weird about the constant questioning), this is something women NEED to speak up about. For example, what you've described on your first sentence of the third paragraph, is a court case waiting to happen. Something has to be said, because apparently whatever is happening today isn't working.

Men around my age and younger have been told in various ways, that we're potential abusers and predators that are a couple of brain synapses away from SAing a woman. I'm not exaggerating or making this shit up, the level of apprehension women have for men from family members, friends, classmates, and coworkers has made stiff and nervous young men who are hyper-fixated on making women feel comfortable and safe. Men don't need as much emotional support from others as women do. Men can even find peace in being completely alone and isolated for months. Proof of this is how hermits are almost always men. After following current internet cultural and social trends related to the manosphere and "pills" I disagree wholeheartedly, so many men are too socially maladjusted to find peace in isolation. There's a reason the suicide rates are high for men especially in their mid-life. Also hermits get by life throug…

It's not about if the relationship is good or bad, it's about how women not needing romantic relationships with men in general to live a stable and fulfilled life. Men are in a position where in order for us to compete in the dating market, we need to provide something more than just dick (because she can get it anywhere), money (she can just go to college/trade school, find a sugar daddy, or open an OF/cam modeling profile), and status (do I need to explain this lol). This is the correct answer. In the past women were selecting men solely out of provision and protection. This is why men were and are still taught and raised the ideals of cultivating a set of tools and assets, regardless of their own emotional and mental maturity. Right now men and the archaic concept of masculinity are facing a cultural and social dilemma where our once foolproof strategy to attract a mate is being challenged, and men are losing. Women no longer NEED men to live a comfortable …

I’m noticing this reality more and more as I get older, and it makes a lot of sense. Extroverts who has the charisma of the “life of the party” personality trait tend to be fine in the dating and platonic relationships. They have a pool of people to dive into and have the experience to know how to deal with people. I think one of the reasons men are obsess with women who has the IG party girl/h0e lifestyle, is because those are the types men are mostly exposed to plus those women have a large pr…

First off, thanks for the measured and reasonable response despite my comment sounding resentful. I already proud of who I am in spite of my post history and tone lol, I’m not perfect but I am at the very least decent according to those around me and my accomplishments. Which is why I will always be defensive of my character and reputation.
