They charge a different price based on whether or not you have insurance. The reasoning is this: Those without health insurance often don't pay. To offset the costs, they charge several times more to those without insurance. Essentially they force you into buying insurance. That seems counter intuitive. Don't have insurance? Can't afford it? What? That's ridiculous! Are you from SRS? A right means you personally have a right to engage in the activity. If you don't have a consenting partner, you have the right to solo sex (masturbation). Make of that what you will, but $3500 and $125 for the consult sounds like someone has never actually called anyone about this. Why are you making excuses to not get a vasectomy if you actually want one? What? I had an appointment for the consult, but then called the urologist directly, and this is the price they gave. Maybe I live in a rich area, but I am not rich. This is not an excuse, this is an empty wallet. (I have $400 in my vasectomy fund. I would gladly pay it.)

Sex can help avoid depression, but I think it is a far throw to assume it's a 'need' because people can be undepressed without sex, just as people can have sex and still be depressed. Mental health is too complex to label any single activity a 'need' to sustain it. Sure, but at the same time, I think this is sufficient to say it would be a crime to take away somebody's right to have sex. (because it does take away something from them).

One of the better comments under this story about how good it was that the "Good Samaritans" weren't armed or they'd probably have shot the guy. This is why I am usually against the carrying of weapons. It makes average joes the judge and jury. And I don't trust joe. Since we were already very intimate with each-other, I didn't see it as an intrusion, but more like a gesture I've done a million times in play. Except she was irritated, so bad move on my part. Her making a scene wasn't appropriate either way.

Frankly, I've seen both types. Some girls are really shy but want it. I've actually had a conversation with a girl who was being very passive. It went like this: "If you're not into this I'll stop. We can watch a movie" "What? Of course I'm into this.." So I was like.. oh.. weird. this chick is just nervous/shy. Boston, USA area. It's frustrating. I've had some seriously shitty things happen to me in the past- and if I stand up for myself or make a deal out of it, the consensus among the "group" I'm in will look at me like I don't know how to let go- no flack goes to the party that caused the problem.
