But there's still the repercussions societally to consider. That's what I care about more. I believe Japan is struggling with the results of declining birth rates right now. Having said all of this...I'm not sure why a company wouldn't just hire a temp instead of offloading the work on employees. Sure you can strip all forms of support from a woman with child. Likely you'd see the birth rate go down.
