I got her to agree to meet, with her setting an alternative date for next week What I cannot figure out is her game plan. Why next week? Is she trying to show indifference? Am I being played too?

okay, I have been chewing over this for the past day. If she has established facebook chat as the channel of communication, can I just turn this off? Should I just use Facebook messages or wait for her to send one? Should I send her a message and say, "hey, let's meet up for a drink?"

Thanks for the reply (and nod to my nerdiness!) The story is a bit messy. I am married in a tired relationship and she is 32 and a former student. Morality aside, I cannot ask ask her to hang out with my friends. That said, I did suggest an inoffensive meet-up to exchange films (which she agreed to), but when I asked her for a time and day, she said something like, 'well, we'll work it out later'. I have started chatting with a girl on facebook and I have become 'ubiquitous'. How do I turn that around? To be honest, I sort of hang around and see if she is online and hope that she will start to chat, which she sometimes does. How can I tell if she is interested? Should I stop being available on Facebook?
