How am I the first person to bring this gem up? Gimli's take on Dwarf women somewhat addresses her "asexual reproduction" conundrum as well.

If Tolkien killed off every character you loved just as soon as you began to love them.

So she hates us... because we're hateful, and its wrong to be hateful... and that makes sense... how?

I understood exactly what you meant the first time I read this. Apparently I'm part of the minority on that.

that's why its called trust. When you find someone that you care about enough to let them get close enough to your heart, you trust them not to smash it to pieces.

finding someone to honestly love and trust and cherish for the rest of your lives is impossible? okay I'll tell my aunt and uncle, who've been happily married for fifty years that they can just quit because its not going to work out.

the 50% is society's divorce rate, not your own chance of succeeding in marriage. If you marry someone you truly love and trust (and vice versa) and actually put effort into making the relationship/marriage work, your chances are INFINITELY better.

honestly, the divorce rate is so unbelievably high in this world because people rush into marriage too soon. Before you marry someone, make sure you love them and trust them indefinitely, and that they love you and trust you indefinitely. Or else you end up with situations like these where when something goes wrong, shit hits the fan, and the bitch (I feel justified using that term seeing as the hypothetical wife/ex-wife is using the court system to take advantage of her husband/ex-husband) uses…

despite the "that's fucked up" factor, and the "holy shit that's my girlfriend's neighborhood" factor, this doesn't belong here. A person killed another person, and the killer is being justly punished. The fact that one was man and one was woman is really insignificant here.

I think you're confusing "religion" with "Catholicism". In fact, that's not even all Christianity, that's just the Catholic sect.

what does this have to do with Atheism?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
