Basically the argument you are making is covering only a small fraction of the men/women dynamics. It’s possible that the dude did not mean it in an offensive way. I think a partner should be made aware that there are certain things not acceptable. But she stuck around until she got fit then dumped him. It just seems like when she had the chance, she shamed the bf for a well intentioned word and left him

Our department is finance and the documents are very important there, with a recommendation from the finance manager she couldn’t say much, so basically it was for “the department not my protection”.
