Getting angry at a moderator when you are doing an appeal won't get you anywhere. What's that old saying? You get more flies with honey then vinegar? Lets take a different approach. Lets say you're playing soccer and you get a red card from the ref for unsportsmanlike behavior. When you go to appeal the red card to the league, do you beak off to them as well? Or do you take a step back, calm down and present your argument calmly, logically and honestly? He wasn't honest with us with how he prese…

When I appealed my ban, my appeal was dismissed on the basis of being "too verbose" .... That's not what they said. They rejected your appeal with the following reason: The verbosity doesn't disguise the issue here: the way you posted, and the content. You used a lot of words, but didn't really say anything in your appeal. You repeated yourself multiple times, and had a very ineffective appeal, plain and simple. I can't talk about the thread that got you banned (I didn't read it), but based on w…

I have to give her credit where she went into the comments and defended herself. Not only that, but she also stated quite clearly that feminism shouldn't try to solve everything. http://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/men-we-do-want-your-help-in-the-feminist-movement-shesaid/comment-page-1/#comment-1514673 I think in this case she's right. Feminism has done SOME good things for men. A lot of bad, but some good. Parental leave is one. I don't think men would have gotten that without feminism …

She doesn't say that, and I will give her credit for that. http://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/men-we-do-want-your-help-in-the-feminist-movement-shesaid/comment-page-1/#comment-1514673 I addressed this in my last comment. I don’t think feminists should try to extend feminism to solve all issues, for any gender. I think we need separate movements for LGBTQ folks, trans folks separately women of color separately, maybe trans women of color, male survivors, fatherhood advocates, about a bill…

I heard that and my brain hurt... If she's the boss, wouldn't she be the one setting the pay for her workers? So she choose to pay someone more than she's making, and that's patriarchy? Ok, granted maybe he was working there before she became her boss, but guess what? I've heard of many bosses making less then some of their underlings. It happens.

Not sure how you missed it, since it was 1/2 my post. You also changed your points between posts, so having a conversation is hard since you keep moving the goal posts. Here, I'll rephrase my point. Ignore the crime a person was the victim of, and give each person the individual support they need. As for your new comment about special units... Should they exist? Yes. As a first point of contact? No. victims should call the police the same way as everyone else. Have people trained in the assessme…

Yes. Special? No. The victims of a home invasion are victims of a very emotionally and traumatic crime. Why should they be treated any different? My opinion is this: When a person is a victim of a crime, they should receive the help THEY require to heal. The support systems sh…

Alberta is one. Severance pay goes both ways. The purpose of severance pay is to compensate for lack of notice. A company can give you 2 months notice of layoff and not pay any severance. I just talk about it. When people ask for donations, ask them for details. I recently had a conversation with a communications person at a local womens shelter about there being no local programs for males, and she had no idea. Now she does. I didn't push her on the fairness, or did anything to make her defensive (I think womens shelter are still very much needed, and they are one of the few things that should be gender exclusive), but we had a conversation about ease of access. Pick your battle…

Bullshit. It's one thing if withholding sex is for an extended time frame (like 2 months), but if I've had a stressful day at work, and traffic sucked, then maybe I'm just not in the mood to worry about having sex. Maybe I just want to have a night where I curl up with my book and read for a while. No one is ever under any obligation to provide sex upon demand. Ever. Full stop. If it's been a few months since you've had sex, then sit down and talk to your spouse. Go for therapy. Is sex an import…

Communicate with your wife, and let her know that's how you feel. Tell her you want to stop suppressing your emotions and that you hope you can have her support. Make sure that she realizes that wanting sex is one of those emotions, and that you would hope that she says no if/when she does not want to have it. Conversely, that she would understand that there will be times that you don't want to have sex and that you hope she understands that it's not about her. I still work on instigating sex. I…

Exactly. People like to think of things like rights as being a pendulum. At one point the pendulum was very heavily swung towards males. It was. A female without a husband had very limited everythings. However, what people don't seem to realize is that it's not one pendulum, but many, many pendulums. Custody was very heavily favored towards fathers. Now it's very heavily favored towards mothers. I want to bring the pendulum back towards the middle. However, when it comes to things like how socie…

No one has the right to put other, non-related children into their car without parental permission. When I first went to university, I was 17 years old, inexperienced in a lot of ways, living no where near a support system. I would have loved to have had a place I could go to and talk about what I was going through without worrying about being judged. I wouldn't have gone to a place where the girls from my dorm might be (fact it, at 17 you want to keep a good face for the girls. Now I don't care), so any kind of womens center would have been out. Some where I could talk about being a virgin in…

I'm at the gym a few times a week, so I would say I work out. At my gym, males use both. Females use both. If you are serious about weight lifting, there are few gyms you can go to anyway since few have the rubberized ones that you can drop after a dead lift. Go to those gyms. And you can still do light lifting at the HOA's gym. Keep in mind, at a commercial gym, they can change what they promote to attract a certain type of person. HOA can't do that, as their clientele are the owners there. You…

Really? Men can't use anything but freeweights? Women can't use freeweights? Huh, I guess I should get rid of my penis then since I'm don't use free weights due to injuries. From an HOA standpoint, there is probably more going on than you know. For example, maybe their insurance vendor is wary about it. Maybe it's only the vendor and they are choosing to trust them. I just fail to see how this is a Mens Rights issue.

So if he had a gun, he can shoot her? Or if another train was coming from the other direction, he can hold her head out the window so it gets hit by another train? No. Force has to be proportional. Ok, I don't think you actually read what you linked too. It says nothing about guards ability to remove you from the area, or about an absolute right to access. Face it, an owner can charge you with trespassing if they don't want you on their property. Otherwise, if you get caught shoplifting a store has no way to stopping you from coming in again and again. However, since a store is PRIVATELY OWNED, they can decide that you are not welcome. They cannot say "all blacks are banned", but they can …

Really? My trainers, the government licensing agency, and the local police would love to hear from you since they have all gotten it wrong. Yeah, not so much. I've worked security (high-risk high-visibility security), and the laws from what I've read tend to be fairly consistent. Security guards are considered "Agents of the owner", which gives them the same powers as the owner as far as the law is concerned. If they ask you to leave and you don't, they can then declare that you are trespassing. At that point you are committing a crime (and no, there is nothing you can say that can change that. In a bar setting, that never works. When I was a bouncer, I hated having to break up fights that had females in it. Either both turned on you, or random guys would jump on trying to help her out. Overall I agree with you that it's a win all around, but I also see a bunch of push back on it for that transplant issue you mention. A women can terminate the pregnancy when she wants. That's great and I hope that never changes. However, but what does happen if the man wants to raise the child himself? Can he force a transfer to an artificial uterus? If so, is she then required to pay child support for the next 18-26 years for a child she didn't want? Will she be granted an ability to terminate…

I'm fine with this. If the school was unable or unwilling to make a reasonable accommodation towards students then it should be shut down. Have a parent-child dance? Cool. The problem of calling something a universal view of feminism is that there really isn't one. As for #4. How about the right to equal access to our children? There is a difference between not enough evidence, and verifiably false. If there is not enough evidence than there should not be any consequences to either party (legally). That's also why many MRA's also advocate that people accused of rape get the same level of privacy protection as rape victims. If the victim can't be named until the person is actually on trial, than neither should the accused.

Do that. If you have loving parents than they'll get over you having a kid. Nothing melts a parents heart like holding their new grandchild. Fight for your kid, never stop, never surrender. Never surrender. Always listen to the Hart. If it's not too late, take copies of every bill you can find in court. Might not make much of a difference, but if it can cut some of the support costs down than you have a chance to make something of yourself (which benefits your kid in the end) Good luck!

Hopefully whomever did it will stand up and take "credit" for this.

All that you're starting is gathering information at this stage. Find out what your options are, find out what the consequences are. Once you have info, you can make an informed decision.

Wait....she slaps you and you're still there? WTF is wrong with you? Domestic abuse is domestic abuse. Unless she's on her knees begging you to forgive her, and that it was a one time oops, you should be treating her as you would be treated had the situation been reversed. Go, talk to someone, either with your wife or without. You are in an abusive relationship, and it needs to stop NOW! Talk to a lawyer. Not with the intent of divorce, but to see what you have to do should the abuse escalate. G…

I know, but we give feminists shit all the time for not policing their own. We have to police our own, and do it loudly and consistently. *edit -> Added the work to in from of police.

I don't know. How many women there had parkinsons and weren't arrested? Just because a man is arrested unfairly doesn't mean it's a Mens rights issue. 2 hours for the cops to verify his medical condition? That sounds reasonable to me when they're working at a high security, high visibility situation.

She should tell him, but I think there may be a case for rape here though as it stands WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH INFO! "I don't remember meeting him. Just coming to. " Assuming what she says is true (and we just don't have enough info here), she may have been roofied. If she were, than she should tell her BF that she may have been raped. Here is what I posted (making it easy to be downvoted I guess...) We need more info. Did you drink till you blacked out, or was it sudden? If you were roofied, or if…

What does this have to do with mens rights?

Chances are if she's on her meds and not pregnant, she's fine. It's not an excuse, but it kind of is as well. OCD is a mental disease and not being able to go through with the disorder is brutal on the person. However, she should also have times where her OCD is not flaring up, and she should be able to talk to him them about what's going on.

Then remove the ban and see what the defence is.

Blanket court rulings generally are bad IMO, however not having good guidelines does lead to situations (mostly in the US where judges get elected) where influence peddling can occur. In your example of abused being kept close to the abuser, that is where the judge steps in and makes an actual decision based on what's best for the situation. Modify custody...bring in a 3rd party for communications... totally depends on the situation. As for the restorative justice, I think that has a much deeper…

I would say the best way to start would be changing the "goal" (or one of them) from being "equality of outcome" to "equality of opportunity". I think that would solve a lot of the resentment that seems to fester in the MRA.

Have you tried just calling and asking them?

Depending on the situation, you might bear some responsibility. Walk though a neighborhood known for homeless and drug addicts while counting $100 bills out loud and then try to be surprised when you get mugged. Walk through a black neighborhood yelling nigger out as loud as you can, then try to be surprised when you get your ass kicked. Yes, those are extreme examples, but there are times when the victim of a crime has to bear some responsibility for making poor decisions.

So you didn't have any one representing you. Big fucking deal. I don't care that no one was representing you. Wanna know why? Because you did exactly what you're supposed to do when no one else is representing you. Standing up and asking "Why not me?" Don't wait for others to carry your torch. Pick it up and carry it yourself. Hey, I don't give a flying rats ass what you want to wear. You want to put on a dress? Hell, I have a kilt and will borrow a friends sarong on really hot days. But don't s…

I can talk about the Vancouver olympics and womens ski jumping (I used to work with some Olympic Teams). The reason why there is no Womens Ski Jumping in the Winter Olympics is because they have enough depth of field when it comes to world class atheletes. Plain and simple. Build the sport up enough to manage to get those athletes, and you will see Womens Ski Jumping in the next Olympics. The IOC does not want a repeat of 1988 where Eddie the Eagle jumped for England (I watched Eddie fly. He, an…

I disagree with you on this. Could it have been better? Yeah, the ruling could have been better, but I understand the reasoning. Basically, the original agreement had a major power imbalance that needed to be resolved. You can't put one parent in the position of being the "work" parent, and the other as the "relax" parent without screwing up the relationship each parent has with their child. Both relationships are damaged in this situation. Mum has to be the authority figure all time (no real do…

To some extent I kind of agree with her (despite the sexist overtones). Teaching young people how to analyze their choices and realizing the impact those choices are going to have on their lives is something that should be better taught. In this case, it would be a professional skills class. If you want to have X, Y, and Z, then you need L, M, N to do so. If you want a wife that will make dinner every night, start going to cooking classes to find women that like to cook. Conversely, if you want …
