Having recently graduated college, I couldn't agree more with the logic of joining a fraternity if that's a large part of life at your school. Understand thought, that there're many pros and cons and it's not right for everyone. That being said. Once I joined a fraternity everything changed. I had to become much more socially aware than when I was a shy only child in hs. One of the best ways to break out of your socially awkward shell is living in close proximity to a bunch of people in the same…

Exactly this. I ran cross country back in high school, that aerobic exercise really helps your stamina. Lifting is great, but a little cardio mixed in never hurt anyone.

This. I changed my look up top for the first time in 20+ years. I cannot tell you how much of a positive difference it makes.

There is a program called flux that will adjust the light of your computer from blue light which makes the brain think you should be awake to something like candle light. This kind of light trigger has worked for me more or less for the last 5 years.

Read some great discussions and just subscribed. In the future it would be good to have a link in the TRP main page sidebar.

That's too bad. I was planning on going(from us) for Octoberfest someday. Is it still worth it to go?

I don't know if this is any help, but I do remember a thread by some European guy about how Ibiza has become more narcissistic over the years with girls just going to take pictures, selfy's etc. Not sure if it was the main point of the article but it he sure discussed it.

Lawyer here. Well this may not make the situation any better, but believe me most people have that "one" member of their family who is nucking futs. You must convince your family to stay away from her for their own safety. I would go with the "if this were anyone else would you be in contact with them argument". If that does't work then when and if you have a family please keep them out of harms way even if it means limiting family gatherings. I've seen far more harm done when someone tries to h…

I would say any cut that makes sure your hair is shorter and or your forehead is showing. Seriously though, go to a good barber and they will be able to help you out, I'm not talking great clips(budget haircuts) I'm talking an actual barbershop for men. Once I've found one who can perfect I've never left. Consistency is important when you get your haircut.

Exactly, national elections(local elections vary) are mainly one group/individuals backed by high powered donors vs another group of high powered individuals. This has only increased since the Citizens United ruling. After they're elected they owe favors to their biggest supporters(whether they like it or not). I may prefer red team or blue team but it doesn't truly seem to matter in the long term since both ideologies are used to obtain the goals of the powerful. For example: Want the governmen…

You couldn't ask for a more perfect example of this cultural phenomenon than in the movie Fight Club. An important message here: Don't take on the negative aspects of the "Metrosexual" Looking for external validation exclusively through material items, or a notch count for that matter, is a dead end. There's no absolute right or wrong. TRP is just the idea that everyone, regardless of societal conditioning should be treated like a human being.

It all depends on how the doctrine is used. In most cases I would argue bp men in the church allow the doctrine to give them rose tinted glasses and unreasonable beliefs. Alphas use it to their advantage.

Waking up still means half asleep. Of course AWALT and there are no unicorns. I don't think it's gullible to be an optimistic realist. The change may never happen, or it may take forever. Neo wondering what the matrix is, is still better than believing it's created for his ultimate advantage. There are plenty of women raised outside the west who aren't enculturated to the "western" feminist framework and in fact they are repulsed by many aspects of it. They're typically raised with the captain f…

Nicely done. Btw believing everyone should be treated as a human being who are ultimately responsible to themselves is a TRP concept, not a feminist one. Since you say you still believe in some feminist concepts allow me to digress. Feminism has borrowed this concept of self responsibility and distorted it to mean everyone is equal. By their logic everyone should be equal. No, there is a massive whole in this logic, everyone is NOT equal, look at the different circumstances under which people de…

Your comment has made me realize that many woman don't cook because they're acculturated into an environment that doesn't value those skills. Stereotypical example:Russia where woman learning to cook a good meal isn't seen as repression, but rather expression of creativity, love and respect for another in the relationship. Both me and my Dad have learned to cook adequately. Not for anyone else, but for ourselves. When my dad got married, he wasn't whipped, he let my mom cook for two months and th…

I would start by looking for those who do more masculine activities, those who act more assertively(Alpha). Those who do well with the opposite sex and keep no reservations. The TRP comedian Black Phillip says "I don't hang out with no guys that can't get no pussy." This seems like a good place to start your quest. Not every guy who can get laid easily has it all figured out, but he's definable got some TRP concepts figured out. I know how challenging it can be first hand. Once you've taken the …

If you ever forget TRP, just remember that every moment in life is precious and if you're not spending it achieving something you want change it. That way you won't fall back into BP behavior. Other than the sidebar that's the best discourse I can think of.

True, but shit happens. It's all relative, I'm 23 and asking myself the same questions. Why so much time with computer games etc. instead of getting laid. Then I realize how lucky I am to have realized this knowledge now, as opposed to later in life when it becomes harder to change habits.

Irregardless, you have to treat everything in your life, and I mean everything, as a gift. As a lesson you need to learn. Both good and bad lessons. Self awareness, the ability to look back and objectively examine what lessons to be learned from your experiences is worth its weight in gold. 90% of life is how you react to it, whether experiences could have been consciously avoided or not.

"You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes." ―Morpheus, from the "The Matrix" For those who have seen the movie(highly recommended) this next quote will have more context. There is a point at which Neo and Trinity re-enter the Matrix. Neo knows he's re-entering a fake version of reality once again for the first time. He makes a remark that n…

Depends. Sometimes people have a sinking suspicion which grows over time that something is wrong with their world. They don't know what it is, but once they realize it, either through mistakes or some other means, they reject the blue pill hard. Often the red pill goes in it's place.

it really depends on the what the dollar is when you go. It also depends what kind of lifestyle you want to lead, you get what you pay for. Certain areas such as Bangalore, happen to be more expensive(I found the north to be cheapest). Having been there recently I can confirm OPs prices as accurate if you want to go and live a little above modestly.

As someone who studied abroad there it's a multitude of things. For one, it requires extreme patience and flexibility. Things vary from place to place but overall it's a piss poor country. Think of the movie Elysium, a brand new skyscraper looks out over miles of slums. Utilities like electricity and water either go in and out, or don't exist. Public bathrooms, parks, largely libraries aren't present. People seem to be everywhere you go. Beggars, kids with no arms, cows and other animals roam ci…

This will be buried but whatever, 5 years ago I found myself in a similar position, from a small insular town in the middle of nowhere culturally and otherwise. All I wanted to do was leave, but I would make a word of caution. make sure you have a plan in place of continuous self improvement wherever you end up. College is a good idea, since you will learn more out of class in larger social contexts that you ever could in your small town. Many will say that college is now worthless, perhaps, but…
