it’s sad that this story made the news... since convicting a man who raped someone is so uncommon? unbelievable

especially knowing that people who are actually in love tend to see their partner through rose tinted glasses... if he’s picking you apart for stuff like that then he’s really not into you and he’s definitely not in love.

well the original greek mythology story was really creepy so the author kinda nailed that, but the other side plots are just weird

i’ve noticed it with men my own age (in college)— telling me how mature i am, that i’m not like the other girls in our age group (???) and i’ve never even “talked” to older guys for this very reason, but young guys can be just as predatory too. they’re just not as good at being manipulative, but they sure start early.

yeah. funny how EVERY girl knows another girl who was raped or sexually assaulted, but no guy knows a rapist.

it kinda seems like the famous men are more likely to get inflated egos and do stuff like this

it’s shockingly common. they will tell themselves anything to redeem themselves in their own eyes, to the point where they’ll blatantly lie and make up excuses to prove to everyone that they’re the real victim, not the person they hurt. smh

it’s the “saturdays are for the boys” and “bros before hoes” guys lmao🥴

it’s horrifying that it really is like this. if it hasn’t happened to you personally, you know someone who it has happened to.

what you did absolutely take courage and strength, and i think it shows good character that you were able to do that for yourself!

literally this. i started questioning the relationship i had with my ex months before it ended, and he admitted that he had indeed lost interest in our relationship at some point and had been lying to me that he was still invested in it. always go with what your gut tells you.

wow, i had no idea about any of those horrifying stories. thank you for giving me some more perspective on this- clearly it’s worse than i thought.

exactly! he even had her handcuffed, and people are still saying she should’ve called the police. talk about grasping at anything

yeah unfortunately i think it is one of the types of situations that really requires a hvm to work well. a lvm or nvm would easily take advantage of a woman who is dependent on him.

there actually seems to be a correlation between conservative values in an area and the amount of domestic abuse. places where it’s common for women to stay home and take care of children while their husbands are the breadwinners tend to have higher instances of abuse.

even before i started following fds, i hated tinder with a burning passion. the men on that app are absolute nvm

he’s most likely not going to change his lifestyle to suit your needs, so unless this is the kind of man you would marry... it’s a no.

as a 20 year old woman who just got out of a relationship, i’m a little worried about this very thing. i’m starting to realize that it’s better to be single and happy than in a relationship and miserable

i joined the website for fds. it is a bit less active than here on reddit, but still an overall good spot. the wix app seems a bit buggy though.

sadly, it’s probably her being brainwashed. LVM in her life have really dragged her down. real HVM aren’t mgtow/mra.

same!! i started lurking when i was 19, finally joined a couple months ago (20 now) and i feel lucky that i found this relatively early. best option would’ve been finding this when i was 15 before i got my first bf, but i don’t think i was ready to hear it then. i used to be such a pick me type girl too.

I got banned for replying to a post with saying how it seems like they were trying to discredit women who actually worked hard for their achievements. They really really hate women apparently, and also hate being called out on it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
