You are welcome. Trust me, I think at times, I need to hear something like that a little more often. It's always easier to tell someone else though, weird, right?

Fuck other people. Live your life, be happy. If you're not a bigot, who cares if someone else calls you one. We, as a people, need to stop looking outward for our happiness. It's a sad side-effect of the whole globalism movement. If you're living somewhere in Arizona, you shouldn't give a fuck what someone in East Oslo thinks about you. That's just unhealthy. Be a good person, surround yourself with people who don't judge based on dumb crap like where you post on Reddit - or what sources you get…

AHS doesn't care. Neither do the mods. They're all nuts. Find alternate sources of assistance online - they are out there. Carry On - you're doing good stuff.

Listen, this site is a Marxist shithole now, run by idiots on a power trip. It's been proven time and time again, you can't fight the hivemind here. So, just setup on a new site, and watch parts of this one that don't fit the mold slowly fall away. They don't care, it's not about voices, or discussion, or anything. Am I cynical, maybe - but tell me the pattern isn't clear as day with the folks in charge of Reddit right now.

She's basically using her husband as a meal ticket, and needs something to keep him anchored, versus her actually going out, learning a skill, and providing for herself. She doesn't even want to remain married to him. No offense, I understand you're trying to be nice, but that woman, who married not for love, but for comfort, is a piece of shit. She is outright ready to fraudulently claim child support even if the child is born (unknowingly) out of wedlock. She's trash, and no, she shouldn't be …

Which is a bunch of bullshit anyway. Teaching as a profession (outside of college) is a female dominated industry. At least in the US, almost 9 out of 10 primary education providers is a female. If anything, in honor of 'diversity' - you should be getting a hand up with these spots.

She’s gonna get hit one day. Most of us don’t generally enjoy being told to go die. It’s gonna backfire on her - especially at age 12. She’s well on her way to years of therapist bills, so that’s fun.

There are alternates to the pill - including a morning after option. And no birth control is 100% secure - short of abstinence.
/r/MensRights20/07/20 11:02 PM

Is female birth control and protection not a thing? I agree, ultimately the cost of unprotected sex should be weighed by both parties involved - the issue at hand is the utter lack of choice to half of the “offending” parties who took part in the act.

Woman gets a man drunk, proceeds to have sex with him - while he's in a state where he cannot consent. That's rape. In most states prosecuted under various counts of sexual assault.

Like I said earlier, you're telling me sex between an adult and a child is ok if the child consents. It really didn't need to go further than that. You're justifying pedophiles.

Why because at 16 it happened to me, I did regret it later on - and I wanted to take it back. It was rape - but whenever I brought it up I was side-eyed, and not taken seriously. That's why anecdotal's don't make good arguments... you made it through ok, congrats, I needed help and didn't get it, took me a while to work it through, still not sure I have all the way. If labeling it appropriately gets a kid through it easier - or possibly prevents a predatory teacher from taking that step - I got …

I was pretty clear in my argument - trusting 13 year olds to make consenting decisions is ridiculous. We don't trust 13 year olds to drive, or make voting decisions, or get credit cards, in some states, 13 year olds can't even apply for jobs. There's a general sense of both well-being for the child, and continuity of society that children are better off not having to make life defining decisions at that age. The responsibilities that come with sex are part of that. There's also many, many cases …

I don't need homeruns here, sport. LOL "think independently of the law". You're trying to tell me that a 28 year old person in a position of power fucking a 13 year old isn't rape because the 13 year old might be consenting. I don't need a homerun to win here - your POV on this is so whacked out on it's own. Look, even you can't defend it, you gotta keep pulling this silly marijuana thing into it. Arguments via simile aren't good ones.
/r/MensRights30/12/19 06:57 PM
2

Marijuana is legal in my state - so no, I don't. Age of consent is a thing, nowhere in the US is 13 considered an age of consent. Do I think divorce statutes in this country stink - yup, that's why I would like the law changed.... see how that works? Opinionated feelings about bad laws are crap - you should want to get bad laws changed. In this case however, we're not arguing about a bad law - we're arguing how an offender of the law is labeled. I wouldn't call a drunk-driver anything other than…

So what's the call if it requires years of therapy to deal with the shame and regret of being raped by a teacher?
/r/MensRights30/12/19 06:10 PM
3

How does a non-adult legally consent to anything, when you need to be a legal adult to provide consent? School shooters are usually tried as adults in this country. That's done for a reason. Legally, your argument stinks, since "Rape" is a term that carries a legal weight to it. Also, flip the genders, and tell me that a 13 year old girl having sex with her 28 year old gym teacher wouldn't be classified as rape - even with 'consent'.

I did read it - she's disgusting. This isn't the case where it was ignorance of age, and a one time thing . She was his teacher, and was helping him for a while, and then willingly engaged in that conduct on multiple occasions KNOWING he was underage. She's a monster - I'm glad the world is treating her as such.

Easy hombre, it sounds like he was just stating his case. For this point, I would argue that of the two major American parties, while neither one really embraces the Men's Rights movement, one of them seems to be going out of their way to slam anything close to it as misogynistic incel behavior. At least, that's what I took from it.

So again, rare exceptionalism aside, i am more interested in figuring out ways to arrange our human capital to amplify individual strengths. It's not rare, or exceptional, to be a professor - artificially limiting that profession to one gender is discrimination. Plain and simple. It's also not rare to find women who are taller/stronger/smarter than men. Another false premise. The idea that our genders are different is an overarching view of both bell curves, but within those distinct overlapping…

Women and men both have their respective strong suits, they’re not really able to go work on a ship or work effectively at trades, etc. I disagree with this premise. but this kind of work is well suited for their particular qualities. This one too... What do you propose women do instead? SO my answer here is - the same exact shit the rest of the planet does. He only did that after several coworkers mentioned that he probably should. And even then, it was only put on a forum, where you actively had to go look for it, he didn't publish it and drop it on everyone's desk.

The problem is, they asked for feedback. You can't do that, and then jump ugly when you get feedback you don't agree with. And again, he even admitted in his piece... saying women are more prone to neurosis is not saying that Jane at Google will be more neurotic than Sam at Google.

Incorrect. https://heterodoxacademy.org/2017/08/10/the-google-memo-what-does-the-research-say-about-gender-differences/ He's got valid points, that are backed up by actual studies. And there are ALWAYS witnesses that will try to fire back. Especially when the other side is a giant global company trying to push "diversity". That's the great part about science, it doesn't care who pays the bills.

Fair point, if there is a man involved - chances are he either didn't want to, or couldn't stand up to some woman screaming at him. Been married long enough to understand sometimes doing shit to avoid being yelled at is a reality.

So the issue with Google's big claim is that the guy pulled them out of thin air, when reality he pulled them from a scientifically published and peer reviewed studies. He also echoed the points personally that these facts are for broad ranges of people, and should not be used at the individual level (my Sowellian shoulder angel just swooned, again, at that statement). I have no doubt it was a joke, the only problem is that since "it's just a joke" doesn't excuse the act if a male was committing it, we now have to treat this incident as if it was something more than a joke. Congrats folks, our ideas about what is actual sexual harassment are now fucking ridiculous, and I can't help but think that modern feminism is almost entirely to blame for it.

So when you couple that with the study that showed men spend on average 40 more minutes per day in the office, wouldn't that make the gap at least disappear completely, with a possibility of it swinging the other way? 173 more hours per year for a 1.4% wage difference? Does that math out?

You should check out the MGTOW movement... men that might end up in this position are more likely to remain single, and live fulfilling lives without significant others, before killing themselves. It also had no gender background, either, other than the fact that the perpetrator was male. She had no problem making that logical leap though.

This is a common tactic in the world today. If you don't like someone else's opinion on a topic, it must be silenced, or banned, not to be discussed, it should merely be tossed based on the premise that its: Not what "I" think. Makes "me" consider an alternative viewpoint. Doesn't fall in line with "my societal/utopian" beliefs. Makes "me" angry/offended/emotional. It's a really childish way to approach opposing viewpoints, and really puts the approved opinion in a weird light, if it can't stand…

Dear Mr. Law Professor, if you are worried about privacy, and incentivizing video taping, maybe you shouldn't make it almost completely impossible to defend yourself on the wrong side of a rape accusation. Just sayin'.

This thinking only follows logic if you assume that raping is A> Something only men will do. B> Something men are taught to do, and thus needs to be unlearned C> False reports never occur, therefore every woman who has ever cried rape, has is some way, shape, or form been raped. Since you have to be basically be so completely closeted to believe that any, much less, all of those three exist, saying that giving woman a defense against being in a situation that might get her raped is a bad thing, …

That's the problem though, every woman has a very singular response to her cycle... and even the cycle itself is different. Before children, my wife didn't blink during her time... no issues, no problems. Now, it beats her up 3-4 days in a row every month... Real tough to narrow down via normal scientific methods - would require huge sample sizes from all sorts of walks.

If it's been medically diagnosed, and you have disclosed it before being hired, I can't see why it should be an issue. If it's a biological change that happens (say after child birth) and your doctor notes it, and your supervisors are aware of it, I can't see why it should be an issue. I could put out more examples, but in my opinion, if people are aware of it, (and really, folks should be grown up enough to be able to discuss this) it's like every other medical issue that takes away from produc…

It's a tough sell to claim you are for equality then, no? I know from where I'd sit, I'd rather see all humans treated the same, according to race, gender etc etc etc... But if someone's position is that they only want to improve their shortcomings, but not decrease their benefits... that's not equality then is it?

Lots of feminists crying for increased prison sentences? Or equality in divorce/custody decisions? I haven't seen them. What they are screaming for would do nothing about these particular inequalities... so if cherry-picking issues is their cause du'jour... well, here's a list we'd like to see evened out while we're at this whole "inequality" thing.

IT's absolutely oppression. But according to most of the replys, oppression is fine as long as you are oppressing a group you don't agree with. So basically, their opinion ON oppression become incredibly invalid, because they themselves are engaging it oppression.

It must be a dizzying headache for those women trying to hold such opposing thoughts in their skulls. Not really... if the primary thought is "which stance can I benefit from the most at this time?" you can easily swap between equality and inequality in the same breath. It does however make the person pulling the switch completely hypocritical, and very difficult to take seriously.

I don't think it's the place of the University to mete out punishment unless the law finds him guilty, though. Accusation is simply insufficient evidence for punishment, presumption of innocence, 'nuff said. The Duke lacrosse team agrees with you 100%.

It's funny, I didn't read this quote as an anti-marriage one. I read it as an incredibly simple statement that being a good dad and a good husband are far more difficult life choices than getting drunk, and running with loose women. Which I completely agree with.

Most men would heartily disagree with you. Being a good husband and good father are some of the most demanding, toughest life challenges I have ever encountered. Choices I freely made, so I don't go around looking for accolades because I do it pretty well.

Where are these expectations originating from? Who SAYS that women are expected to stay home? If the woman made more money to begin with, wouldn't it then benefit the family if she DIDN'T stay home? It's a very broad generalization without basis that the mother is "expected to stay home", that is the weak point in the argument.

American women have been haunted by the problem of more. Spurred by Betty Friedan's plaintive query, "Is this all?" Yup Hopefully a steady job, with a good paycheck, so your significant other and you won't fight about bills, and maybe some kids that hopefully end up somewhat normal - individual definitions of 'normal' may vary. There's your "patriarchy" and "male dominated" way of life, for most of us in a nutshell. And then they wonder why we roll our eyes if we get shit on for opening the door…

Why do they have to talk so damn fast? I mean really, if your points were solid and logical, you wouldn't have to spin them by somebody's head so fast that they weren't mentally able to process and respond. When women can threaten to falsely accuse a man of rape, to the point where the man is willing to be extorted, rather than take his chances at being found innocent of rape, it's a snapshot of a much larger and broader problem.

Here's my bone to pick with that argument. If I say something, and I don't mean it in a sexist way, yet someone infers sexism from it, am I the sexist, or is the person who inferred the sexism from my statement the sexist? I'm of the opinion that if I don't mean it in a sexit way, yet the other person finds issue with the statement, it's not my problem, it's for the person listening to determine where their prejudices lie, not for me to explain mine.

Like the narrator of the video states, plus other mentions, the DiD trope is easy to write... put a woman in trouble, now lets get her rescued... fill in the details. What makes it work though is this evolutionary/instinctual desire for ANYBODY to help people they care deeply for, the long time belief in humans that sacrificing for the one that they care for is a positive trait.

One of the commenters noted: "We know the 2010 US Census found that mothers were granted custody of the children 83% of the time in divorce, fathers 8% of the time". That means courts are sending kids to a non-parental third party (foster homes or relatives) more often than the birth father? I'm shocked. Going to spend some time trying to trace down that fact, but if it is... holy cow.
