Aside from the fact that some of those are clearly attempting jokes or creating an eyecatching title for ostensibly benign articles, please not that these were made by either journalists or blogs, whose qualifications are in journalism or nothing at all. None of them did gender studies. so essentially you’ve conflated women saying anything with gender studies. That’s just defining a problem into existence

I can’t find it, sauce please. As Abraham Lincoln once said, „don’t believe everything you read on the Internet“

I realized while typing my original comment that I didn’t know what was taught in a gender studies course, so I looked up a few syllabi . It’s an academic paper reading list. This is ostensibly a philosophy class focusing of theories of gender. Women’s studies is a distinct but similar field about philosophy by/about women. So even taking for granted that the „ information“ is wrong, to say it should t be taught is like saying tho as Malthus shouldn’t be read Bc he was wrong. Or that frued shoul…

Probably, like, people studying gender, like sociologists. They may go out and get a degree in it. Not even that most people do it for that reason, but it’s still an educational pathway. Creative writing is a degree that doesn’t have a lot of opportunity attached to it, but it’s still an educational pathway. And reducing all education down to „what will get me a job“ is kinda fucked up you know? Information is important regardless of its relation to the job market.

That... that is just saying activism can be used for gender studies. So in essence, for you, men’s rights isn’t about actually solving men’s systemic problems, it’s about making sure everyone else stays miserable as well, and stopping activism.

Gender studies doesn’t mean man hating? It’s a trash degree but is just about understanding gender theories and relations. Edit: damn, I forgot how hard it was to be a young account on reddit, I’m legit have a backlog of responses but I can only send one every ten minutes. Also, you guys could try being pro - something instead of just antifeminist, they aren’t mutually exclusive

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
