| 2 | Friend of mine was falsely charged with sexual assault...I see what you're saying; I hope and work to make it so that anyone who is falsely accused of rape is given proper due and sympathy for what they've had to go through. Trying to explain your way out of a situation that did not happen while everyone gives the advantage to the woman with or without evidence is a terrible event. And at no point did I disagree with this. Being falsely accused IS worse because you will rarely ever see vindiction, whereas despite the trauma an assault victim is accorded respect and help. I agree that there should be protections for men/women who are accused of rape, but that doesn't mean that we should take a step backwards for protections of men/women who have actually been raped. This trauma follows her/him for life, often with little sympathy from others (bar a few close friends).
