Perhaps they were in a loveless marriage of convenience.

Why does it matter? It doesn't cost her $10,000 a month to have him half the time.

Calling out women for behaving badly takes social power. Men have very little.

A woman cut in line in front of me last week. When I called her out she said "I guess there aren't any gentlemen anymore!!!" super loudly.

Come on now, I'm an independent voter, and I voted for Obama twice for the same reason I voted twice for Bush. The competition sucked.

"Male politicians are trying to take away women's rights!" "Because that's what their female constituents elected them to do"

My brother pays $10,000 a month in child support. Kid lives with him half time. The mother has never tried to get a job because she's convinced the judge will grant her alimony after child support ends.

It's strange how noting, "yeah, that sucks when that happens!" Isn't welcome from some feminists. I say to take allies when you find them.

She says that men should stand up for women, and declares that feminists aren't actually man haters. The irony being that "real feminists" should also have the same obligation to take a stand against man haters.

Sad, isn't it. I am dumbfounded that she can't tell the difference between fighting for equality and fighting for superiority.

I think this figure is probably correct. If the definition is, "any sexual contact or comment that you didn't agree to, in writing, before hand." What I want to see alongside this data on women is the data on this experience among all students. My guess is that most students receive unwanted touch (even if it's just somebody brushing again your bottom in a crowd) or comments about their bodies or sexuality in their college years. I think that having all of the data available would enlighten all …

This definition probably brings the number up to near 100%...of both genders.

I have a feminist friend who believes that gaps in education where girls are ahead exist simply because girls are smarter. The inability to see that we should always try to shore up weak-links is so strange to me.
