Really? all you really have to do is search "marriage" in this sub. the headlines / comments of a lot of the posts clearly illustrates what I am talking about

As someone who is currently engaged, I also feel this sub has become a circlejerk of hatred towards anything along the lines of marriage or even relationships. Its one of the reasons I don't come here as often anymore. It's a damn shame too, despite the negative associations that people have with marriage, there still are many marriages that do work. Not to mention we lay ALOT of blame on The women, or the courts... But really, how the hell do people think the vast majority of relationships got …

Autism is getting a lot of attention, and your outrage is rather misplaced. while it may be overwhelmingly male, this does not mean that there is less awareness being raised. In fact there a hundreds of campaigns out there geared towards raising awareness and funding for further research depending on your area. There are several factors that do contributed to the difference in the awareness level between things like breast cancer and things like autism. First of all, autism is not a single disea…

I have never understood this argument of "who suffers more in wars". There are legitimate arguments that can be made about the inequality and injustice of forced military service that many males have been subject too. However when we start talking about actual war times, it is pointless and harmful to argue who suffers the most. Humanity suffers the most when people are being killed. Society suffers the most. Everyone suffers.

I have not really seen a "how to" guide for talking to people about men's rights, but if I may make several suggestions which people may or may not agree with. 1) know your facts, and the facts of those facts. The easiest way for someone to derail your argument is by highlighting faults in th evidence your provide. If you are using opinion based data with no empirical evidence, while that is the realm of many debates it does little to support your argument. You should thoroughly research your to…

fortunately for him, just like the kangaroo court, it is not a legally binding deal, simply a peace of paper with his name on which can be held up in court . There is no legal backing to any of that. so While I don't really supporting suing everyone, if that is what you want to do, sue away

I think this is precisely the type debate which is utterly worthless and damaging to society in the long run. why does it matter what position is harder? one is a social position created by humans to fulfill a need that is unique to our society, while the other is a fundamental role that is absolutely required by biology. Beating people down and convincing them one is better then the other only serves to turn people away from parenthood or from pursuing whatever career choice they want. I myself…

As everyone has been pointing out, the best thing for you to do is to simply relay what you factually know, and not what you suspect. It is important to make that distinction because, although the courts may be biased they still employ people much more qualified to determine the fitness of a parent without your speculation. Also, this is not a case where the women got pregnant and immediately wanted the father out of their life, paying child support and withholding visitation rights. She clearly…

couldn't agree more. when the argument begins to breakdown and the opposing side starts to throw insults around, using blanket statements to negate and demean you, its best to just walk away. Thats a sure sign that any intellectual debate is done, and you are now entering into the realm of an ideologically charged battle, which no longer has any concern of what is fact or fiction

This recent post from /r/MensRights may be of some help. it outlines the educational attainment on a world scale divided by sex and age.

for those who do not have access to the lancet directly http://globalhealthcenter.umn.edu/documents/educationalattainment-lancet2010.pdf Also, while the article outlines the leaps and bounds made in global education equality, it looks like some countries are doing even worse then before... But it is definitely clear, the education gap in most developed countries has been closed, and reversed in some cases (which is alarming to say the least). One thing though that this article really goes to sho…

I Tried looking for the research that backs up these claims, most of the groups recent research has been on prostate contraction. so who knows maybe they found something in that... the group has not published anything specifically on this yet so I wouldn't get too excited. Edit: found the article http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2013/11/27/1318624110.abstract?sid=ebe8c3c1-9f52-40ce-8d91-8ae67ac26a34

I agree, I dont quite see any evidence that she would have recieved a harsher sentence. in-fact I don't know if there is a harsher sentence available in justice system itself. You can bet though that as people are acquitted and pardoned there will be large lawsuits against both the government and this chemist personally.

If being abstinent isnt something your into, definitely always wrap it. Besides, birth control is not a 100% thing and it never hurts to always be cautious, if having a kid is not something you want. you're definitely not alone in being lied to in this case. Alot of the girls I know have admitted to telling guys they've hooked up with that they are either on the pill or some other contraceptive device because they didn't want the guy to use a condom. not to get pregnant. They just didn't like co…

There's really no rebelling against them. This article paints a completely false picture. The vast majority of students on campus would never press the blue light buttons for shits and gigs. They know the seriousness of it.
