I realize there's not a cure-all article people can just read and suddenly have all their problems solved. This article is a starting point. But I have a question. So lets say you successfully adopt this mindset, and you're happy talking to a cute girl. No ulterior motives here. You're totally happy being single. Well then how the fuck are you going to get into a relationship? I've definitely felt this same way occasionally. I'm happy being single and I'm perfectly happy to talk to this cute gir…

It's not so much permission as it is confidence. In my head, I think, "Well you can't be yourself, cuz you suck." So I try to act like someone else. Someone more confident and alpha and macho and all that shit. But it just comes across as fake. I'm afraid to be myself, and it makes me sick.

Never thought of it this way, but very true. I met a female friend of mine's boyfriend this weekend, and she is majorly settling for him. From what I know and how he acted, I would rate him a 3. He's 34, divorced, very quiet, overweight, and works at a local restaurant. I rate him as someone for my friend to date, not a person in general. My friend deserves better. She's 23, recently graduated from a very good private university, and is always fun and full of energy. I'd rate her an 7. if you wa…

This perfectly describes the feeling I had when I was with my ex. Haven't had that feeling in almost a year. I've hooked up with other girls, but they were only hook ups. Need to find that real connection again.

Holy shit. You are me. Same exact problem. I'm even 24 too. When I'm a bit drunk and hanging out with my friends, I'll go talk to a girl. If I fail, who gives a shit? Right? But now I live in Houston, don't have any really close friends here, and I find myself terrified to make a move on a girl. I had a female friend who I definitely should've put a move on, but I was afraid of blowing my only promising friendship at the time. Now I never even talk to her anymore. I always tell myself, "Nah, she…

Stop looking down. Look up and be confident. When you're looking down while walking it tells me that you're in a hurry, or don't want to be talked to, or both. I'm a chronic look-down-while-walking person too (I have a tendency to trip, so I look where I'm stepping) but I'm working on it. I try to make eye contact with at least half the people I cross paths with. Hell, I've even noticed some girls giving me the quick up and down checkout. I've changed my mindset now. If I see someone looking at …

Growing up I would be looking at a cute girl, then she would look at me and I would "Shit! She caught me!" and quickly look away. Now that I'm not so awkward, I need to work on my eye contact

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
