I have been making a combo kvass/borscht Pt 1 Need: 2 cups beets 3tbsp salt 2tsp tumeric 3-4 cloves garlic Chop beats but not too small and put in a jar with all the other ingredients i cut the garlic cloves in half too to release more flavor. I usually use a 51oz jar fill most of the way with water and salt. The salt is a ballance you want enough to prevent mold but not so much that the end is way too salty but you can dilute the drink after you drain it off.
