I agree with you from a shallow perspective--thinking some traits are more attractive than others is something we do everyday... but I have found that sharing vulnerability with others can envoke a stronger relationship with those you care about. When anyone opens up to me it's a such a reassuring feeling! That feeling is more attractive that any kind of physical attraction, to me personally anyway. It means they trust me! But I also understand that showing vulnerability to people who don't care…

Honestly, as a woman, I was thinking of patriarch as how you described. I call my pops 'padge' though, so that might have something to do with it. :)
