A reaction I've gotten from many feminists/women has been "Men's rights!? How dare you! You are the oppressor! Patriarchy hurts everybody!" etc. My response has always been "I'm saying that men deserve to have their problems heard as well, thus, I am an advocate for the rights of men, a Mens Rights Advocate, or an MRA". It's easier to advocate for something, which seems very passive, than to be an activist for it, which seems very active.

I think it does. A feminist could be an MRAdvocate. This person could be an MRAdvocate. I think that's an important stepping stone. If we can get people like the person above to admit that mens' rights at least deserve advocates, that's progress.

This is sad. Sometimes I just want to go to a conference and be a geek. No, you don't. God this kills me. I'm honestly at a loss for how to even respond to this. The best I can say is: JESUS CHRIST ADRIA FOR THE SAKE OF WOMEN EVERYWHERE SHUT YOUR DUMB FUCKING ENTITLED MOUTH This is why women get treated like fragile, delicate outsiders when they want to participate in the tech world. This is why men WANT a "boys club" -- let the girls in and somebody making an entirely appropriate and funny joke…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
