| 63 | The correct way to break eye contact.I think more experienced people already do this naturally without even knowing it. I'd say looking up is more effective than looking to the side. Another one that I think is good is a nice, slow, deliberate, closing of the eyes for slightly longer than a blink. That way you dont seem like you've gotten distracted or sidetracked or anything like that. Either way, the whole point is to make it seem deliberate and controlled.
