I can't have a drink and be a teetotaler. I can't paint and successfully claim I hate art. I can't have casual sex and say I'm not that kind of girl.

The curious thing is how so many more people identify as not being the casual type while having engaged in casual behavior.

I agree with you, but I think that a lot of the thought process is backwards. I haven't a way to support it, but I strongly suspect that there are more people who recognize viscerally that they want a less promiscuous partner and then try to rationalize it with poor logic than there are people who use that poor logic to conclude that they shouldn't want a promiscuous partner. It's a shame that the silly generalizations even have a place, because they're unnecessary to legitimize the desire; if s…

There's a difference between finding something bad and finding it unattractive. The logic doesn't go casual sex->objectively bad->not attractive. It's just something that turns me off in a woman. I never had any interest in just edging out the bell curve. Never being wowed by another guy means never considering anyone else a great sexual performer and not having any big romantic adventures with or passionate memories of another guy. Big adventures with friends, however, are a positive. Note…

Suppose they do. You can exercise your preference for any kind of partner you want, regardless of what you bring to the table, as long as your partner wants you, too. I challenge anybody to explain how "fairness" is relevant beyond me having what I want and her having what she wants.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
