As a contrary point of view here, while I 100% agree with what the last woman said, I also think it’s fine to have double standards, it’s fine to be a hypocrite, it’s fine to not always be consistent. There is no reason to not to. For some reason people like pointing out others hypocrisy and double standards without realizing we all do it all the time. To me that’s the progress on this thread. Omg this is so stupid. Like those moments on The Office that are so cringe it causes me genuine pain to watch. This is worse than Michael pretending to be a lawyer. There are really 2 possibilities here. In all her millions of dollars, this was the best lawyer Amber could manage or her case is so flimsy so skilled lawyer wanted to bother with it. So I’m not asking this rhetorically to prove a point but rather in a serious way because I don’t get it. Something this post always makes me think about is why is it generally accepted to expect other people to smell (or not smell) a certain way? Man that sucks. I guess I didn’t mean like “oh Australia is way better than US on this front.” Being a different country the laws and precedent are just totally unknown to me. I feel for your friend. The grief from not being able to see your own kids is almost too much to bear. It’s maddening when a modern society and judicial system can just sit idly by and permit it to happen.

Ahhh, Australia, makes more sense now. I was thinking this was US at first and was totally shocked that it went this way. My ex tried more or less the same stuff during my separation and divorce. It worked out in the end, but it really opened my eyes to the wild inequality in divorce and custody law and precedent here in US. Well 2 of the 3 boys were 17 and so legal as far as age goes. The charge is “improper relation between student and educator” so to call those rape is sorta a stretch. Reading the article and then the linked one in that article, this woman brought her 4 year old along for the ride. One of the boys talked about how she put her son to bed before they had sex and then she drove him home. Like the article doesn’t say either way if there was someone else watching the baby, but strongly implies not.

While I don’t want to weigh in on the connection between the cause and effect here, I really do believe the cause is well stated. Yeah, I totally fail to see the PPD angle here. While I seriously have a hard time taking her narrative at 100% face value, there is a complete lack of entitlement. Even something as simple as traffic court is rigged an needlessly draconian. This could be an important commentary on that but instead because it’s a vaguely attractive white woman the incels just have to see it as PPD. I really totally fail to see how this fits here. They have 2 kids together, they’ve been married for 18 years. He doesn’t want to pay any child support and lied to the court about where he was in quarantine. As presented, this guy is absolute scum and if that prenup is real deserves to have it thrown out. And either way they are his kids and it’s unforgivable he wouldn’t pay any child support if he’s not going to otherwise help raise them. Edit: 18 not 12

Did she read the court decision? I’m betting no. The tldr is basically they were offered the same as the men, refused it and basically got more or less what they asked for and also in terms of actual dollars got more than the men.
