I have experienced this 1st hand at my alma mater Bates College. They had a committee last year that recommended all departments include 2 classes focusing on DEI. An intro class and a senior class and this includes all sciences. I have read statements by students who complain they can't learn computer science because there was too much time talking about DEI.
