I actually completely get how that feels, but trust me, bro, I thought suicide would be a quick escape myself until it almost happened.... I took a ton of ambien one night, and the moment I swallowed the pills, I changed my mind, and I tried to throw them up, but I couldn't. I've never felt anything more terrifying than the feeling of thinking I was about to die.... l was fortunate enough to make it to the hospital, I don't remember a thing. Shit gets better hang in there
Dude you actually have me seriously considering getting snipped... 🤔 I haven't really thought about that but I'm not trying to go through this shit again when I'm about to be 40. I can just put some of my man gravy in the freezer in case I want a kid later right? Like In an ice tray or something?? 😬😬
When the system basically pays a woman to take a kid from the dad and rewards her more money, the less you get to see them, it's hard to expect anything less from most women nowadays. That's why men don't want to get married like they did 20-30 years ago. Marriage puts you in a position to lose half of your stuff if you're not able to keep them happy. It's fucked
No problem, Actually surprise at how many people aren't aware of how fucked up the system can be. Hopefully, this opens some eyes so they avoid being in that situation.
Yeah, in comparison, there are guys paying a lot more than me. I wasn't trying to imply that it was a fortune. But it's definitely been a cause of anxiety for years. Some of the amounts men pay are just ridiculous and vastly more than the kid needs. Having a man's baby has become leverage for a lot of women, knowing the system is designed for them. I finally made over 6 figures last year and paid off my balance. If I still had to pay support, they would have doubled the amount I owe based on las…
Yup that's why I Took care of her and her daughter for years, Sacrificed finishing school and tried my hardest to keep my family together. You have no idea what you're talking about, unless you've been in my shoes shut the fuck up. That kid goes to A prestigious school in Del Mar, has everything he needs and Is happy. Go fuck yourself
He was adopted in March. I have no legal rights to him or anymore financial responsibility. This is what his mom wanted and she hasn't let me be in his life in years, so fuck yeah I'm done
Need a vacation I haven't dated in a year, it's kinda nice not having to answer text constantly or try to make someone feel good all the time. I miss tittys though
I'm not that concerned at the moment with finding the one. I gotta finish getting my shit together then I'll worry about it. Dating isn't too hard for me, just gotta date the right ones now
Pretty fucked up huh. Never let a girl get assistance if she's pregnant and still with her. Even if you think it's gonna help you guys out, free health care and food. They'll automatically come after the father
Yeah you have to have thick skin. Something I learned the hard way. Hopefully I got a few years of bad karma out of the way and can enjoy my 40's, as my body starts to fall apart haha. Fucking life
I would have laughed but it made me realize I can't even have a bank account. They took 4k one time from my savings without even showing how or where it went. My balance was just low, I had to call the bank to find out the put a lean on it. And I was making payments on time at that point working on the balance. They give 0 fucks
Yeah man I've driven the last 3 years basically without a license. In a super illegal camaro with tint 😅 I think Jesus is looking out for me, I don't even think about it anymore. But those days are soon to be over
I have no choice. I've had a bank lean for 46 cents from my savings for child support. They took I think half of the 92 cents I had. They'll get the money
The one good thing I'll say about that is 9 out of 10 cops who pull you over for suspended license due to child support will not impound your car and usually let you go because they think that's bs as well. I've had 2 cops let me go, My dad was also a cop and told me about that. I mean you gotta be respectful to the cop obviously but they don't like that dumb ass law
Yeah, then they suspend your license so you can't get to work or have to pay someone to take you, a missed payment here, bad sales month there, before you know it you can get in a bad spot. I mean it is my responsibility, I'm not a victim, but man that shit shouldn't be so hard.
I've had my license suspended at least 6 times. They just did it again because my ex didn't report the adoption to child support. She tried to act like it's an option to do it just now. I laughed and said nope it's 💯 required and fraudulent and I already spoke with the court this morning, they'll happily give me a copy to take myself. People can be petty as fuck and just evil. I literally just want peace, either friends or kick rocks her choice but that bitch can't play these financial games wit…
If you owe 2500 or more they deny it. I've had times where I was at zero but couldn't afford a vacation. Then my debt got so bad it was almost something I didn't think I'd get. But I got a better job and was able to pay off nearly 20k this year so I'm gonna finally go on a vacation
Yes, the mom got government assistance after she left, medi cal, cash aid food stamps. Even if you have full custody they will automatically open a case against you through the state. The money goes to the state if she's receiving cash aid to pay it back. That's why it was only 200-250 for him which is not that bad. But if she wasn't on welfare I wouldn't have to pay a penny. If she worked she would have had to pay me. The system is flawed
That i can agree with. But as of now, she has my son and her ex and her are going to court for visitation/custody. I may have taken your comment the wrong way. I 💯 agree the system is predatory, but it's not like he got a girl pregnant by mistake and he's stuck, he spent thousands and almost 2 years doing the adoption.
Man, I truly feel for you. That's why I agreed to the adoption. When she left it fucked me up big time. I lost my job that I loved and was doing really good at, my apartment, my good credit, I was in a bad place. It took me years to get back on my feet so when she brought up the adoption I just didn't have the energy to go thru that again, knowing how fucked the system is for guys. You think that nothing would ever keep you from your kid, but people don't realize the tole it takes on someone to …
What's predatory about this, though? If you ask a parent to give up custody of a kid so you can step in, that's your responsibility. They had to convince me to give up my rights which I finally did. He has to pay now or find someone else to adopt him. That last part was a joke
We all knew each other from high school. The guy she cheated with knew she was engaged. We played little league together, I put the majority of blame on her and some of it I may have caused, but that's still shady to do. So him having to pay and me getting to see my kid again is karma In my eyes
Oh God, yeah, I did. I genuinely feel sorry for the guy she cheated on me with. She left him with 7 kids, my son the 8th is in N.C in college. He took one for the team by taking her off my hands
I'm sorry to hear that. Women can be extremely shady. When I left my ex, I got a notice a month later that I owed 4k in back support for my son. She filed for public assistance, living with me, and hid my mail, so I had no idea. They put a lean on my savings and just took it. They didn't do a thing about it when I reported it either. The system is not good for men
💯 she had 8 kids and didn't have a job or even a license for 15 years after we split. They literally give you more money. More tax refunds, more food stamps, etc, based on how many kids you have
I actually tried to join the navy because they take people in their 30's, but I have 2 full sleeves and they said they have a zero tolerance for tattoos. My best friend joined out of high school and is still active. Dude has seen so many places
💯 completely understand how that feels. My oldest sons mom cheated before I knew she was pregnant. After I left her she told me, I got a DNA test. Had to raise him on my own with help from my mom. She married that guy and had 8 kids lol. The next one I was engaged to for 5 years, raised her 9 month old daughter as my own and we had a son a couple years after meeting. I paid for everything while she got her degree in speech. Literally the day she started working she came home at 3 am. Did that 5 …
You have to be below poverty for them not to come after you. I've seen some cs payments less than 100 a month and the guy had no custody. If you work, they'll take a percentage. The more you make, the more they take
6 years at 424 a month for one kid 15 years at 225 a month for the other, they dropped the support when he was 15 , his mom got a job. I underestimated because the post isn't really about the money. It's about not having a weight on my shoulders anymore.
Usually, the mom would need to establish a support order with the court unless she was receiving aid from the state. If she did receive aid, they automatically open a support case, and you have to pay the state or the mom, depending on how much assistance she gets for your child. The state will go after anyone no matter how much you make, but when it's money owed to the other parent, they don't get involved unless you make them. If my ex wasn't on welfare and had a job, she would have had to pay…
If my partner cheats, it's a wake-up call for my next relationship. I think some men definitely cheat because they're not getting what they need as well. Not just physically.
I paid $524/ month for my youngest and 200+/ month for my oldest who I had full custody of until he went to college. I also supported my step daughter for 5 years before my ex and I split up. You know nothing john snow
One kid I had full custody of, the other one I didn't start paying until he was almost 6, he's now 11. I was with the mom until then. So 50k but not really over 19 years it's just average.
One at 19, then when I was 28 my second son was born and we were together for 5 years so I've only had to pay the last 6 years for him. But that's been the majority of the 50k
If the mom gets any public assistance, they will come after the father immediately, even if you have custody. The mom doesn't even have to file for support, the state automatically does it if she's getting aid. So at 19 I was a single dad getting my $9/hr checks garnished lol
Man, I can't wait. I've never had a passport because of CS. I'm going to plan a trip to Canada for my birthday and see the northern lights. Something I've wanted to do all my life
The money wasn't really the issue for me, I never minded supporting my kids. But I had full custody of my oldest and still had to pay when I barely made enough, and as soon as u miss a payment, they suspend your license, making it harder to work.. you fall behind and try to pay an extra $100/ month to catch up, but the interest is $150/ month... it can get discouraging
2 kids, 2 moms. One, I had custody, but she was on welfare, so I still had to pay. The second one cheated, fled the state with my kid and got married, I never saw my son again. After 6 years they asked for a step parent adoption, I didn't want to battle them and lose so I agreed. I didn't know it was finalized 8 months ago so so my child support payments since then went towards the balance. Best thing though, today she told me she left him 4 months after the adoption and he has to pay child supp…
