How do you manage the anger of a 50/50 financial split? This is how I feel. I’m so naturally frugal and even though I buy everything I want my cost of living is 10% of hers. In the end I’ll be happier with what I get and she won’t. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/01/26 10:02 PM
Men treat men worse than women doThank you. I have a lot of wonderful women in my life who are there for me as well. I guess I should have mentioned that. I confide in my friends whether they’re male or female. I was just focusing on men as that is what the comment I was responding stated and I wanted to back it up. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/12/24 06:05 PM
Men treat men worse than women doI'm a guy in the process of something difficult and all of the men in my life have been calling me, texting me, checking in on me multiple times a week. At my MMA class when I was sad because my father passed away I received more caring then from anywhere else. I was an old man at a bar with some friends last weekend (I don't go out much) and noticed how many genuine guys just spoke to me including the bartenders. Yes there is a small subset of men who are wealthy and powerful enough to control … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/12/24 05:16 PM
In case you are missing your ex-wife today...This happened to me over an umbrella that I got for $8. We still use that umbrella all of the time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/09/24 01:40 AM
Fundamentals: Do Not Move OutTalk to a lawyer and read the laws in your state about leaving the house. You will still most likely get half the equity in the house and it takes months for abandonment to actualize. A DV call to the cops happens in seconds. Since you are using the word gaslighting I’m guessing you know the situation better than anyone of us | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/09/24 10:51 AM
If you had 5 years to plan for divorce…What does cashed in options mean? I'm guessing cashing out all of your stocks. What is the benefit of shutting down debt? I'm guessing so you can walk away without owing anything. Also what is bombshell mode financially mean? Sorry for sounding dumb, I'm just like OP and finally gained the fury and patience that I've needed my whole life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/02/23 10:02 PM
How to move your money secretly? What does this mean? You only provide accounts and spending the last two months of the divorce/legal proceedings? If you were a very patient man how could this work in your advantage? | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/02/23 09:14 PM
Is Divorce worth it?It is good to hear another point of view on this. I'm in a situation that I'm concerned about leaving for my kids as their mom works late into the evenings on weekdays. I think that I only be sleeping in a separate apartment but back to my house by 3:00pm every weekday (and probably have them every other weekend). I don't see the value in that when we would incur a massive financial penalty (legal bills + child support + a second place to live). | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/02/23 02:39 PM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less Money100% I did. I focused on my career and my kids and now recognize that I need to try and balance out. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/12/22 02:29 AM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less MoneyI’m glad I wrote out the question because of all the responses. I tried to simplify something extremely complex and did so poorly. But I also wasn’t stating what I thought just the only thought that came to mind. I think the giving up is what the problem is. His wife goes out with her friends a few times a week, she works from home and they can afford gym equipment… but he also isn’t at a healthy weight so I don’t even know how he thinks it’s okay to judge her. My question didn’t provide enough … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 09:51 PM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less MoneyHaha yeah I didn’t even think he meant her weight. I’ve been in great shape most of my life and even five years ago a woman at the pool commented on it. But last month my doctor said I should be concerned about my BMI lol. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 08:23 PM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less MoneyThey do it is sad, for health reasons. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 08:19 PM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less MoneyWhat if the change is something like $300k per year to $150k per year, so they have the same house and day to day activities except for expensive items? I know I changing the question but your response makes sense if the family actually suffers. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 08:16 PM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less MoneyFair point. I have a lot of high income friends so my outlook may be biased. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 08:10 PM
Is the Equivalent of a Wife Getting Fat, a Husband Making Less MoneyI don’t know that is why I’m asking. I feel like there is more to it for women though n | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 08:09 PM
“Tired of taking care of a grown child”Are you poor? This isn’t that hard to comprehend. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/08/22 11:48 PM
“Tired of taking care of a grown child”He mentions this in other comments. You suck at reading. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/08/22 11:47 PM
“Tired of taking care of a grown child”My point though is that if it was reversed and you constantly needed help from her it would never be cute. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/08/22 10:30 PM
“Tired of taking care of a grown child”This doesn’t seem as common for men to express this about the women in their lives. I wonder if men expect to do this going into a relationship. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/08/22 05:33 PM
