My current bf is the only HVM (autocorrected to gem lol) I’ve ever been with and wholeheartedly enjoys it when I’m mean to lame ass dudes who deserve it. As much as it insults me to my core, it’s really satisfying to watch some scrub’s entire demeanor shift from insulted to downright scared when he sees the chick who started talking shit when he whistled at her has a big ass man behind her. Sucks that I need the security blanket of another man to like, not get murdered by doing this, but as long…

I got downvoted once in a popular sex subreddit for saying pain during intercourse (even specified that I can only speak from my own personal experience) could be caused by a lack of arousal. People don’t like to be reminded that they’re shitty in the sack I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Oof I wish I had an award left to give you. Excellent commentary.

Same! Even down to the man-child screeching. How the hell I tolerated it for five years is beyond me, but never again. And he acted so surprised when I left too. Like, does he genuinely think this is an acceptable behavior, let alone an attractive one? 🤦‍♀️

It’s the most reprehensible thing you can do when somebody is already in a vulnerable position. There is literally no excuse to resort to mockery in an argument, especially with someone you’re supposed to love. It just shows how little respect you have for them or their feelings.

I love this so much! I hope you enjoy your trip, happy early birthday! 💖 I always try to go big on birthdays, I’m not religious so I don’t really care about Christmas and it seems more important to celebrate the day someone you loved entered the world anyway. I’ve only ever received birthday gifts from a boyfriend twice, between two long term relationships over the span of almost a decade. Last year we were flat broke from losing our jobs mid-pandemic and my fantastic new boyfriend still gave me…

Ugh I know this is true, it just hurts to admit. I can’t stand yelling, my pos father made sure I’d flinch every time someone raised their voice in my vicinity. I can’t even think about a time in the past where someone raised their voice at me without getting emotional. I’m a good person and a good spouse and I rarely feel like anyone ever deserves to be shouted at, but especially not me after everything I do to make peace for everyone else. Thank you for sharing OP. 😔❤️

Well I’ve really improved my cooking skills this year, partially because my boyfriend is an amazing cook himself and has helped me a lot, but I’d really like to take a cooking class and impress him with something he didn’t have to teach me first! I’ve also been learning to bake just through recipes and YouTube videos, so I think my next step will be learning to make bread. Other than that I would really like to start knitting again and learn to crochet, that seems like a really fun and valuable …

Hobbies, exercise, pets, part time work, volunteer work, classes to learn new skills or improve existing ones. I’m guilty of this as well and these are the areas I’m aiming to progress on in the new year. 🤞🏻

I lost ~30 lbs on my 5’ 3” frame and got sooo much more attention almost immediately. The type of person doesn’t really make a difference, I live in the south around several different ethnicities and get hollered at/hit on equally amongst each group. I’m about 110-115 now, I think the secret is my flat stomach makes my small titties look bigger. I’m also bottom heavy which is trendy now, but I think men generally prefer a balance between thin and curvy.

I don’t personally apply anything I’ve learned here to men that don’t respect me. I’m really good at what I do and even made good money in the service industry because of my pleasant disposition and charming/bubbly personality, but if someone gets rude with me I’m quick to revert back to the shitty attitude I perfected as a teenager. I’m still compassionate and empathetic, and if it’s something I can shrug off I will for the sake of not being too emotional or hot headed. But I’m a firm believer …

Ooh this is the best idea for a thread, I’m going to do my holiday baking next week to distribute ASAP and all my practice cookies need to get tested this weekend. I was going to fix a variety to please everyone so my plan includes shortbread with sprinkles, cocoa crinkles, peanut butter chocolate chip, and snickerdoodles. I’ll probably make some chocolate rice crispy treats too, but I’m still trying to think of a way to fancy those up a little. I might sprinkle some cocoa powder or powdered sug…

Super gross in this context especially when it’s her boyfriend’s daughter... like what perceived threat is she to you? Beyond insecure, that’s unstable. 🤢

I do not and have never wanted my own kids, although my boyfriend has an older child who I’m really enjoying taking care of during our weeks with him. And when he’s at his mom’s house, I have even more time and opportunity for homemaking and doting on my boyfriend. Playing stepmom certainly is not a position I ever expected to be in but I’m really enjoying my personal growth and development doing something that was previously so far outside my comfort zone.

Lol how did I not see this comment until now? Yeah it was a fairly fucked up situation all around. My boyfriend at the time was nearly 17 when we started dating and I was a freshman in high school who had just turned 14, so his friends were probably not exercising very good decision making either... Edit: I’m not inherently against age gaps in relationships but 14 to 17 is a HUGE gap developmentally speaking so in hindsight it’s super creepy to me that someone who was nearly an adult wanted to f…

Once in high school my friends and I were all partying at a barn in a rural neighborhood, and they had some live music which was obviously way too loud. So unsurprisingly the cops show up, and my best friend just went running back blindly to her dumbass boyfriend when he said the cops who busted the party were “being cool”. Didn’t occur to her that he was a grown ass man allowed to be drinking and we were like, 15. Meanwhile I gave my boyfriend the bird and booked it the hell out of there. Guess…
